Sighting Range of Airport Lighting Systems for IFR Pilots

- In life, many things are not equal and airport lighting is certainly one of them. It turns out that different types of airport lighting (REIL, PAPI, MIRL, HIRL, etc.) may shine at different intensities making some easier to see than others. Then there is the issue of light angle projection. It's possible to see some airport lights from a greater distance at a lower altitude rather than a higher altitude. So here's a short video explaining some of these issues that are certainly relevant to all pilots working on their instrument rating as well as instrument rated pilots.
This video is very relaxing, and informative. Although I am not a pilot anymore, I still have your private pilot handbook, I ordered many years ago, one of my most loved book. Greetings from Mexico city
And greetings back to you, Aaron. Thank you for that very nice comment, too.
Best,
Rod
Great job, thanks Rod.
Please keep these videos coming!

Thank you, David!
Ok, this video was great, you convinced me to try your book.
Thanks, Emanuel.
Great Video. Thanks
Thank you, Jake! I sure do appreciate the comment.
Best,
Rod
Hi Rod, I hope this comment finds you well. I have acquired a set of runway threshold lights still mostly in working order but instead of the usual alternating amber flashing they are stuck on the static on position, I was wondering if you could help me to restore these into the correct performance, wiring advise or missing component advise . I would be very grateful .
Kind Regards
Craig
Greetings Greg:
Hmm, I don't understand what you're asking here. Please clarify.
