What an intriguing title, "Airport Lighting - You Must Know [ATC for You]!" It's fantastic to see content that delves into the specifics of airport operations, especially something as crucial as lighting. Airport lighting plays such a vital role in guiding pilots during takeoff and landing, and it's fascinating to learn more about how these systems work to ensure safety and efficiency in air travel. The inclusion of ATC (Air Traffic Control) in the title suggests a comprehensive look into how air traffic controllers and lighting systems work in harmony. It's great to see educational content like this that sheds light on the complexities of aviation! 🛫💡🌌
Thanks so much!! 🙏 💓

don’t quit we need you
The ironic thing is this is what YT was supposed to support more of. It's sad more videos are incredibly shorter now because of TikTok and Snapchat.
The new trends with "shorts" seems like it's taking off. But ngl, I enjoy this way more
@@nomore-constipation shorts are not good for them, they have realised, just read a bunch of articles.
Welp he quit

Wow..so well explained. Learnt something new...awesome!
Thank you so much!!

I spent nearly a lifetime maintaining all these lights and the equipment that powers them along with the controls. This is good stuff !
Do you know of any existing automated software that can check these lights based of imaging? Or do all airports check if the light work manually by a person?
@@alexandrugeorge1573 There is a system called ALCS, “ airfield lighting control system”. The system also monitors all airfield lighting circuits. All the leading airfield lighting manufacturers have systems very similar to one another. These are the two I am most familiar with, ADB Airfields Solutions and Crouse-Hinds. There are more world wide.
Airports still generally have inspections daily and nightly for compliance with FAA standards. The computer systems are a big help with other circuit monitoring such as Meg readings and supply equipment monitoring and provides alarm status to help with monitoring unmanned airports when uncontrolled.
I did airfield design engineering 30 years ago - these videos are great! Of course much has changed in the years since. You’ve done a really good job of explaining each topic.
🎉
Ah, was that when they would just mow the grass in a straight line and the end of the runway was a haystack?
An amazing representation
Being an airline pilot, this video is an useful for all the pilots
Awesome vid, learned a lot …….I love the airport and watching planes take off and land, always wondered what each light meant and what they were for when it comes to helping planes taking off and landing etc…. Thanks. 😎✌🏾👊🏾
Thanks so much!! ✈️🥰🥰

@@atcforyou2020are u guys gonna make some more educational videos like this? I’m planning of becoming an ATC but I need ur support to achieve it ❤❤
@@atcforyou2020You missed out on the aerodrome beacon lights located on top of the control tower.
A detailed and so well explained video for ATC and Pilots to learn the light systems in flight simulator games either in real life Pilots!! Keep up the amazing work!!
A big thank you for such a vivid refreshing course 👏👍✈️
What a great video. I'm a former military pilot and current airline pilot and this video is excellent. Very useful for reference. Thank you!
Thanks!! Have wonderful day!! ✈️🎉
The video was absolutely fantastic, with clear and concise explanations throughout.
Finally my question answered… very clear explaination.. Thank you.
Thank you I may not even be a ATC but I probably will be a pilot and this helped me alot.
Bouta watch this entire channel only to use it for PTFS 😈
Thanks to you, after watching this, I now know that the custom airport lighting that I put in my city in City Skylines a while ago is so wrong. Wish I found this when I built it that time lol.
😅😅Thank you so much 🍀 ✈️👍

spot on i love videos like this. I work maintaince and operations at Manchester Boston Regional Airport and maintain these lighting systems
I'm a full-stack developer, I don't know why I watch the whole video.
Nevermind, great video 🤣
Very impressive, precise and well elaborated
I was waiting for this!

Perfectly explained and so useful😮
Great info
Quick and precise
Thats one of the best educational study video that i have ever seen. Thanks a lot!
Thanks so much 💓
Way clearer and better than my ground school teacher
Very useful and informative video 👍❤️ great job, thank you 👍❤️, keep going and do more videos 👍❤️

Very nice video, subscribed
Thanks so much!!🌟✈️💝
You might consider adding Runway Status Lights (Runway Entrance Lights (RELs) and Takeoff Hold Lights (THLs)) to this video. Excellent tutorial. Thank you.
Thanks the explanation is impressive!
Really High quality content 👍 Appreciable
Thanks so much!!!🥰🥰🥰🥰
ಒಳ್ಳೆ ಮಾಹಿತಿ ನೀಡಿದ್ದೀರಿ... ಸರ್
Informative!
Thanks for the video
Good job bro bless you
This is very very very nice ! LOVE
I have such respect for pilots. So much to know, learn, and remember. I wished I had the brain power to do it. The best I can mange is a styrofoam airplane with a propeller fueled by a rubber band.
Great video !
keep up the good work
Some airfields the stop bar lights can be changed to Green by the controller to indicate safe to proceed past with controllers permission.
Thank you so much! 🙏
Thank you very much for the valuable explanation. Also, do you have a video about lighting transformers in airports that operate in a series system regulators ran at 6.6 amperes?
Great video....I really like the animation of this video
Very informative video. Loved everything ❤
👍👍👍😄✈️🍀Thanks!!!!
@@atcforyou2020 Welcome 🥰🥰
Properly followed sir
This is nice to know, despite living in a capital city where it's international airport only has daytime flights cause we don't have airport lights to support nighttime takeoffs and landing.
Needed to study to work at the airport, it was pretty interesting
Excellent tutorial.. Keep it up.Best of Luck
Thanks so much ✈️🎁🙏
Good job 👍
Wow you're r
Explanation is very nice and 💓💓💓
Thank you

Excellent explanation 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you!!!!🍀🌟
@@atcforyou2020 ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for this awesome explanation, can I download it to my PC?
Ah so that's what all those mean when I play MSFS, fantastically informational video
I don't think I ever thought about looking up runway lights outside of me sitting in the plane looking outside the window.
Yes I haven't flown much (maybe just over a dozen times), but I never actually looked it up probably because I didn't have any internet connection
Anyway the YT algorithm thought I'd like it today. Kinda odd but thanks? I subscribed but I'm unsure if I have any amount of time to binge watch a few of these. I don't want to get overwhelmed
24 hours ago I watched a video from TheFlightChannel about a Russian air disaster due to a failure in marking the runway as occupied through the lightings.
Now I got this in my recommended
It's good that much of the lighting can be understood by simple common sense.
Because it is a flow-control system and not an engineering piece with high-end maths.😊
Nice 👍👍👍 information
That’s a lot to learn
I think i can land an aircraft now 😍 too good team 😘
Very beautiful 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thanks 😊
Going good
Nice as usual
Thanks!buddy😊
Really nice video👍
🥰😊👍
Hats off
When I saw this the FIRST person I thought of was Johnny from Airplane holding the cord to the runway lights.
Very interesting 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thanks!
Super thanks, too.🎁🥰🥰🥰 Have a great day!
Whatever it is, they're beautiful
Underated chanel tbh
Thanks a lot!
easy to understand :)
Nice
Great channel
Thanks!! Have a great day 👍
I really did just watched a video on airport lights without having an intention to become an atc or pilot
What video software did you use for this?
Great, full of knowledge. SMY is a professional manufacturer of aviation obstruction lights with ICAO. welcome to discuss together aviation safety.
What a beautiful voice...>
Thanks 😊 Have a great day!
great
Thanks, now I'm ready to land
If the metric system was used, this video would be 10x better.
Like I have to imagine how long 2400 feet is 😱
👍
Very well explained but where is John McClane located with the two torches?
Lot of information... And also We asking... Please Explain How to move the aircraft according to light system. With ATC instructions..
