My wifes 2001 crv with 259,000 miles started missing started out as every once in awhile to always, found one bad injector, one mostly clogged injector and one spark plug boot was very wet, plug wire top boot was not seated. Put in 4 rebuilt injectors, new plug wires runs smoother then it has a months, made the wife very happy. Also found the radiator had a tiny leak in lower right corner, new radiator.
You're a good man! Thanks for the breakdown- I have a 2000 CRV that i bought last year and have been thinking of doing the valve adjustment - got about 150,000 miles on it. Always good to see a breakdown like this as you provide a lot of info and demystify getting involved in the car. But more than that, I feel great that there's a mechanic out there that wants to sell a good car to good people for good money. That makes a lot of sense to me and I wish you all the success in the world!
Great info, great attitude, and great to find someone in the automotive industry with a conscience! Subscribed, and thanks for demystifying the troublesome misfire codes that always seem to plague these engines. I might start flipping a few of these myself seeing how to properly diagnose, and determine the next course of action.
Same as my '99 CRV! Check engine light, random misfire codes, etc. After reading through some CRV forums I discovered that the heads on this engine were a bit soft, and the valves were literally beating the seats to death, which tightened the lash over time. On top of that, the USA owners' manuals recommended valve adjustments at 100,000 miles! International manuals state (I believe) 30,000 miles. Honda would not pay for any repairs, since this problem doesn't usually show up until well after the warranty has expired. They did issue a TSB sometime in the 2000's (too late for me). As far as I know, this only affects the Gen.1 CRV's ('97-'01). Anyway, I skipped the compression test and went straight to the leak-down test. Bingo! I had a burnt exhaust valve on #2 cylinder! I did a complete valve job, did not machine or replace the head, and it is still my daily driver with 338,000 on it. Hint: for anyone wanting to do this themselves, you will need a special valve spring compression tool. A "standard" one won't work because the head is too deep. It was $80 well spent however, because it does 2 valves at a time! I still have it, if anyone is interested.....
Jeez so many people with honda experience this and it seems like everyone is a mechanic but me lol. I need help and don't know an easy way to fix this.
We have a 1999 CRV that is "slow to start." I plan to take it to a local mechanic to have it diagnosed. I hope it's something simple to fix as my daughter doesn't want to sell it. The dealer said it's only worth $800. The inside door handle chrome has flaked off (cuts fingers) so the handles are duct taped. The doors don't lock any more with the fob. The picnic table still works fine. Thanks for the interesting video. 70-yr. old mom
Very informative! Thank you! I’m about to look at a crv with the same exact issue. Only asking $1,000 so I think it would be worth it even if I had to buy a new head or even borrow one from my LS integra. I’m hoping a burnt/broken valve isn’t the issue. It’ll be hard to diag in the guys driveway so I’m going to take a gamble. It currently runs on all 4 just has a rough idle so we shall see
I Just ran in to issue on our 2001 CRV 283,000 miles. It had a misfire under load so I started with a compression check came up with 200,175,175 200 from there I noticed the plugs were worn bad they had a gap of .59 and should be .44 so I put new plugs in it and it still did same misfire so I took the coil out and found that it was shorting out through the casing and the dist housing ,I also tested the coil and it tested good. But that was the dang problem.I think the plugs with such a wide gap caused the coil to work harder and short it self out
bob4brenda very common as well, I once had a crv with a dizzy come in that the wiring was all cracked and corroded. These Honda ignition systems are great, but sensitive for sure
Good vid's Sir. Got a first gen CRV a few months ago and I knew it had a burnt exhaust valve. Been collecting parts through the winter and I now have 3 cylinder heads and 2 engines. Looking forward to the Spring refresh and your video's have been quite helpful. I have a turbo kit on order currently, I may become the oldest CRV ricer on the planet !
Dagger41 thats awesome! We love them and have/ had so many. We have some fun stuff planned as well, but it all starts with the basics! Welcome to the RD1 crowd and Hondas. Rice is life
cause of the CRV vids..u just earned a new Sub! keep the vids goin! great job guys! i wish u guys are Canada base shop, i would really like my CRV get a JDM engine swap..
Miss fire on 3 and 4 I put high mileage injection fluid to gas every time I filled it half tank and it would turn off and it would come back on again then changed gas to mobile super + suggested by mechanic and the light turn off after 3 months. Why??
Most depressing search of the day. Haha. Great video. I had oil leaking into my spark plugs so I changed the valve cover gasket. Wish I would have checked when I had it apart. But I guess this is next.
It’s most likely you need a valve adjustment, these b20s really should get them every 30k miles. It’s very easy to do yourself, watch the video tutorial from The Honda Resource on youtube
Great video. I wish you were close to western Colorado. The car love of my life, my '99 crv, was not holding its idle at a stop when the ac was on. It has 248k miles. Anyway, I took it in for that and they adjusted the valves and the day I picked it up, it started getting misfire codes, rough idle and a blinking engine light. I took it back immediately and after my mechanic replaced several other things including the mapping sensor it seemed to be running fine. But after driving 10 miles, the engine light came on again and started blinking again, but it seemed to be running fine. I took it back and now they say my rings are bad in cylinder 1,2 and 4 and I can either drive it til it quits or put in a new engine. It doesn't smoke or use oil excessively. I would love to get another opinion on what my options are. I love my car. I've had it 20 years. Is this the end, my friend??
Vanessa Ford oh that’s rough :( best case scenario burnt valve, worst case worn rings :( I would say swap in a low mile jdm engine at that point, but honestly? You could find another CRV easily for the same price. Maybe do that or try the 2nd gen CRV? Sorry to hear about your baby :/ Thats rough
Thanks! Do you have a quick answer for how you tell if it's a burnt valve or worn rings? I was thinking burnt valve when I watched your video. They did a leak down test and said there was also blow by coming from the oil opening and that it is worn rings. I'm going to drive it 20 hours to KY in 3 weeks. Hope we make it!
Vanessa Ford leak down test or wet compression test. Do you not trust the mechanics? Normally they give you the results of their tests. If air was coming out the exhaust? Valve, if out of the oil dip stick tube? Rings. Cant hurt to run it til it blows at this point. I wish ya luck! Let her rip!
Exactly. Unfortunately the Honda manual says to do it every 100,000 miles. The root cause of the problem is soft valve seats, causing the lash to decrease over time. I found this out the hard way. One of my #2 exhaust valves was burnt also. Did a complete valve job and it's still my daily driver with 350k on it. Mine's a '99.
@@19580822 mines a 99 also with allmost 200k on it. My timing belt broke lucky i didn't bend no valves but it just don't seem like it run's like it use to. I'll prob either replace the motor which i have a spare or another head on it.
I had a distributor rotor come off an aftermarket distributor I installed into my CR-V last November when I got it and the original one died. Drove for only a few days and got CEL for random misfire and misfire on all four plus P0420 hope it's not a valve too. Even on Honda's I.N. it says it might be if a valve is shot
When I turn on engine shakes then after a couple of minutes it would ho back to normal oil was low I tapped it added what it needed then light turned off. But still shakes a lot for a couple of minutes then it runs fine. Honda crv 2001 2w transmission is good no problems there. Had a coolant leak it got patched so no more leak. So why if engine light is off it still shaking at beginning?
I did the compression test on my crv got cylinder 1: 30 Cylinder 2: 160 Cylinder 3 150 Cylinder 4: 155 Does this mean cylinder one has a burnt valve or just need adjustment
Have a 97 CRV with 230,000 on it I think power steering rack is starting to go it's getting really loose and sloppy it recommend a good brand of rack and pinion on the market
Please help to restore the EVAP system on honda crv 2000. I can't find a schematic of all the connections anywhere. Where some hoses go. Particularly interested in the box near the left wheel. Preferably a photo or video of how connected everything.
Hi It is very good to learn.I have 03 Honda crv heater problem ,when you turn heat on driver side is cold air blowing passanger side is hot air blowing .I flush heater coil also same thing what should I do next .
I have a 2000 CRV and i have the same dang problem. I just wish I knew what I can recommend asking the mechanic to get right to the point without having to replace the entire Head, cause i'm also thinking about junking the car.
Great vid! My son has a 2000 CRV with 175K miles, and is showing P0300,, P0301, P0302, P0303, and P0304.... I'm heading up to Humboldt to go try and fix it, but wondering if he's having all of those error codes is it still likely a burnt valve, or possible vacuum leak, like maybe a throttle body gasket or vacuum hose? I'll definitely run a compression check, and check the valve clearance, but since he's pretty remote I'm a little scared of stranding him :-/ If you have time to give me your 2cents I'd be ever grateful!! Cheers!
Keith Patterson your saving grace might be the fact that its all cylinders in your case. Only a few systems share all cylinders like the intake manifold or fuel system or fuel rail. Brake cleaner works great for finding leaks (idle changes) but a compression test right off the bat will let you know fast. (Plus the engine is still cold so you can adjust valves after if the numbers look good) . Thanks for the view and comment! I wish you and your son the very best. Teach him the ways!
Thanks again for the beta. I got back from Humboldt and hoping I fixed his car :p Did a compression check. Cylinders 1,2,4 were at around 193, and cylinder 3 was at about 172. Exhaust valves were kind of tight, so I adjusted, reset the CEL, and now crossing my fingers. I did spray brake cleaner all over the intake area but never saw a change in idle speed. oil and coolant were nice and clean, so not expecting any HG issue. I'll let you know how it goes!! Cheers!
I took my 01 crv to a shop to change the timing belt and water pump and belts while the mechanic was doing the job. Now he returned it with a rough idle and I dont know if he didn't do the timing right.
I have a 62k mile jdm b20b and it has like a misfire and backfires and stuff from 2k rpm to about 3k then cleares up and also it sounds like a subie lol swapped it into a 96 EK so was wondering if I need a new motor now already
Ronin Motors yes that would be great bc you know these motors im a K series person, I didn't run any test besides checking spark plugs and changed out plug wires and still does it
Hi... I have a 2002 Honda crv which shows good compression (about 160ish and all cylinders) and I've adjusted the valves. Yet, I still get misfires on all cylinders. My Honda manual says the Exhaust valve adjustment should be .012 and my intake should be .008. However, when looking at the sticker under the hood it shows 0.30/Exhaust and 0.23/Intake. Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
I have a 96 hatch with a b20 swap, it is a b20z2 (don't know if that matters) but it sounds like I have a misfire and it has stalled out once while I was stopping at a light with the clutch in. Would you happen to know what is causing this?
babe tucci thanks for the view and comment. You can put a screwdriver onto the injector while it is running, then place your ear directly onto the screwdriver handle. You will hear clicks if it is working. Or you can move the injector to another cylinder and see if the misfire follows it
the resonator has a rounded bolt and i haven't went further...////this is a auction car i bought to run on a mail rt....everything is great but this misfire.. 143000 miles.
I have a misfiring problem, and the engine cuts out when rapidly decelerating like in a tight turn. But the problem is almost inexistant when over 3,000 RPM when valves open more because of the geometry. I tend to think this is because there is a closed valve that open ups at higher revs. Correct possible interpretation ?
Mine only misfires after being warmed up. Any ideas? The last engine I had with a burnt valve, misfired constantly, which obviously makes sense. The sealant on the valve cover looks old, so I’m going to start with an adjustment first.
My heat and AC is not blowing out of the vents on my 2004 Honda CRV. I have checked the fuses and they all are good. I changed the blower motor and the resistor and nothing is still working. What do you think the problem could be? Thanks?
The reading on a check engine light showed cylinder codes--I went to a higher grade gasoline and the engine light turned off. The car is still idling very low but is running strong. Should there be a worry?
What oil can used and it i go to auto zone guy sale me 5_30 hear boston real call my friend say to used 5'20 castro thing is ok let me know ok thank you nice video g bless you
Hey my Honda CR-V 1999 is having problems. Between the last two weeks it's been cutting off, cut back on when it wants too, change the converter and replace fuel pump and is still cuts off, within the last two days it won't start...???
i have a hesitation in a 99 crv and was wondering what you think it is. when i rev it, it hesitates between 2-3k and also when im at high speed it will run but if i try to accelerate it has no power
Not necessarily. If it's not idling rough while running in park then it's not likely a faulty valve. That could have something to do with a pressure regulator and your gas pedal if memory servers though.
Hi,my 2001 crv is using oil,i am going to do a compression test and for life of me can't find anywhere that will tell me the correct pressure to hope for.can you enlighten me on the one thanks?it'll be much appreciated. cheers,Dave
above 150-160psi should be good. 180-200psi is really good. Just pay attention to the variances across cylinders. Compression test while engine is cold. Get a really low result on a cylinder? add a tablespoon of oil into it and retest. If it goes up? its your rings. Throttle body open, and pull your PGMFI fuse in the panel under the hood to protect your distributor and not flood your cylinders with oil.
its common, but so are the simple fixes. Just helped a customer yesterday with multiple misfires and his valves turned out ok. good luck!thanks for the view
Ronin Motors where can i send you a video of the crv? The seller sent me a video today... he has it running... idling on 3 you can hear it from the tailpipe sputtering... but then it runs on 4 for a little then back to sputtering.... im assuming its an ignition issue. Wires looks oem along with dizzy... 270xx km on the crv. Let me know if incan send you a clip. Thanks ! Cheers
im seriously contemplating on sending my crv from nyc to you. i've done so much to my crv and i cant seem to find the problem. for some reason it jerks like crazy when i accelerate only when the a/c is on and now after me beating on the car with this problem these codes came up. where are you located?
Ronin Motors I just got a 2000 crv and I’m fixing all the little things on it. I just realized the power lock actuators don’t work on all 3 doors other than the drivers door. I’ve also got the clunking noise under the drivers side feet. I’ve got some work to do!
Forrest Coleman thanks man! I have a video for the locks! Check it out. The clunk is the sway bar end links, cheap but kinda sucky to do. Get after it!
Many times that can work if caught early. The problem with burning valves is why they were burnt. The valve clearance tightened (this leads to the valve being unable to cool between strokes, then they burn), usually at this point they recess the valve seat into the head, then you cant adjust for proper clearance anymore even with a new valve. Heads are cheap, machine work isnt.
mm vs in. (metric vs. imperial) I show the factory hood sticker @4:34 factory showing lash specs (Intake= 0.10+/-0.2mm; Exhaust=0.18+/-0.2mm) I always encourage people to refer to factory manuals, factory stickers or google the specs themselves. Obviously it is very easy to make mistakes while filming, speaking and working with one hand or even watching. This helps prevent confusion and 1am replies.
I have been searching for a video with my problem, but was not able to find one available. I have a 2000 Crv that I am currently working on, and was wondering if you were available to reach out to me and answer some questions I might have. If so, I can send you my email information. Thank you!
I know this video is 3 years old but I'm hoping you'll respond. I realize the CR V is a late 90's model but my mom's car just started misfiring, it's a 2005, and I'm also smelling burned oil. Even inside the vehicle. The motor has already been swapped due to failure to diagnosis a faulty cylinder but there was no burned oil smell the last time. Would I be safe in assuming this motor is likely to have to cylinder issues as the one in your video? I'm telling you, this is the first Honda we've ever owned and I'm not impressed.
Too many variables to troubleshoot over text. K series engines like your K24 are wonderful. Finding a good and trustworthy mechanic would help, who knows what all has happened to that car or the engine prior to install. You need some basic diag work done like compression tests, leak down etc to really see the health of the engine
Ronin Motors I meant slc from my original comment. Your videos have kept me up when I should be asleep. I'm thinking of buying a Honda Element as a project with misfire on cylinder 1, 2 and 3. It will probabaly need a new head if nothing else fixes it. That's how I stumbled to your videos. Great stuff bro.. when I need a new motor I know where to go! ;) can you recommend a machine shop around slc that specializes on Honda motor?
typically low results are rings and zero pressure is valve. unless its partially burned. You can do a wet test, where you add a tablespoon of oil to the low cylinder. if it goes up? its worn rings
Hey, I'm having an issue I can't figure out on my 99 CR-V. I have a p0301,2,3,4,0 and a 1399 but it runs smooth. There's a weird noise almost like loose change in the valve cover and I cannot for the life of me figure it out
theouterbay engines, transmissions and parts produced for the Japanese market that are later imported over. Typically much lower mileage and better condition compared to locally sourced engines and parts otherwise found at salvage yards. I own a dealership and also an importing company and repair shop.
Ronin Motors what do you charge? Ive had two different mechanics with conflicting suggestion on what is wrong with my vehicle and i just feel like im getting taken advantage of i wanna know what to reasonably expect to get charged for a job like this
jesus torres really depends. My diagnostics fee is $75 and my shop labor is $75 an hour. So it can be anywhere from $75 if its easy, to like $125 for a diag and valve adjust and timing all the way to like $750 for a new cylinder head installed, head gasket and timing belt.
My wifes 2001 crv with 259,000 miles started missing started out as every once in awhile to always, found one bad injector, one mostly clogged injector and one spark plug boot was very wet, plug wire top boot was not seated. great work!
Great brake down man keep it up.. you hardly find youtubers that do videos like this one
Daniel Marquez thanks man! Really appreciate it :)
Well there cris fix and Scotty Kilmer but we also have this guy too

was it burned valves?
Its usually burned valves
Great video. surprisingly no damage to cyl #2 or cylinder walls, with chunk out of valve!
It flakes off over time...

Cylinder 2: 160
Cylinder 3 150
Cylinder 4: 155
Does this mean cylinder one has a burnt valve or just need adjustment
can I have one of those motors/crv's? ..
Thanks for all the good info!
Respect on the last part about selling a fcked up car . I wouldn’t want to either .
Please I have a 2007 Honda Ms Fire cylinder #1 and there is no pressure in this cylinder after checking the pressure
Come to Florida!
Good video buddy.. looking fwd for the outcome of repair 👍
Man this is great
loved the crv videos- keep them coming! also subscribed!
Thank you! Nice learning👍👍👍👍
Tin Tun check the blend door, or the other door down under the dash
I'll definitely run a compression check, and check the valve clearance, but since he's pretty remote I'm a little scared of stranding him :-/
If you have time to give me your 2cents I'd be ever grateful!!
Most appreciated! I'll let you know how it goes! Best!
Thanks again for the beta. I got back from Humboldt and hoping I fixed his car :p
Did a compression check.
Cheers!
Keith Patterson thats great news! And those compression numbers rock. At worst maybe spark plugs, cap and rotor if it does come back. Nice work!
I took my 01 crv to a shop to change the timing belt and water pump and belts while the mechanic was doing the job. Now he returned it with a rough idle and I dont know if he didn't do the timing right.
I change the spark plugs Nicole came back
thank you so much for this video!!!!
I have a 62k mile jdm b20b and it has like a misfire and backfires and stuff from 2k rpm to about 3k then cleares up and also it sounds like a subie lol swapped it into a 96 EK so was wondering if I need a new motor now already
Civicem1dude did you watch the video and perform any diagnostics on it?? Want me to just guess or what? Haha
Ronin Motors yes that would be great bc you know these motors im a K series person, I didn't run any test besides checking spark plugs and changed out plug wires and still does it
Have you ever seen a 2000 CRV smoke around the distributor cap while at an idle they're running what would cause it
Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.
double check values and account for standard vs. metric
I have a 96 hatch with a b20 swap, it is a b20z2 (don't know if that matters) but it sounds like I have a misfire and it has stalled out once while I was stopping at a light with the clutch in. Would you happen to know what is causing this?
Thank you Sr.
Byron Argueta thanks for the view!
my 2001 crv is firing cylinder 1, spark and plug my question is can i put something in cylinder to see if injector is working.? thanks good videos,,
babe tucci thanks for the view and comment.
2001 crv,,, i took the resonator off to get to injectors,,started engine and it revved up and down,,so shut it down.
Ronin Motors I live in Sandy Utah, Your shop looks closed.. Is there anyway I can link up with you and pay you to do this job?
I have a misfiring problem, and the engine cuts out when rapidly decelerating like in a tight turn. But the problem is almost inexistant when over 3,000 RPM when valves open more because of the geometry. I tend to think this is because there is a closed valve that open ups at higher revs. Correct possible interpretation ?
I don't think so. I think the motor just kinda compensates at higher speeds/rpm's. Rapid deceleration during tight turns? Are you racing your CR-V?
@@katielyb ciao Katie ... no I live in Italy ;-) The beloved CRD is now gone... Too complex a motor to be handled by inexperienced mechanics.
I just put jdm in crv it misfire code p1399
Mary Allen ok?.....that a question or a comment? Watch the video....new plugs and adjust your damn valves
Mine only misfires after being warmed up. Any ideas? The last engine I had with a burnt valve, misfired constantly, which obviously makes sense. The sealant on the valve cover looks old, so I’m going to start with an adjustment first.
Great video.
I’ll be driving down hwy at 70-80 mph and mine will do a little miss or jerk randomly....does it several times over 10-20 miles or so
My heat and AC is not blowing out of the vents on my 2004 Honda CRV.
Guess it's bad news to have to be on this video. Hopefully I don't have to put too much money into mine 😅
nothing worse than verifying bad news. hope you got lucky
I checked my compression at 150 all 4
How much would this cost in local mechanic shop when you add diagnostic fee?
probably more than the CRV costs
What oil can used and it i go to auto zone guy sale me 5_30 hear boston real call my friend say to used 5'20 castro thing is ok let me know ok thank you nice video g bless you
Jerry capeles both oils are fine, i use any dino oil 5w-30.
Hey my Honda CR-V 1999 is having problems. Between the last two weeks it's been cutting off, cut back on when it wants too, change the converter and replace fuel pump and is still cuts off, within the last two days it won't start...???
I'm late but it's probably the ignition, there's a recalled part that causes that issue
W.up men my 2000ex5speed my do liltle noise valv never do it be my frist time go scar broken sonthing thing got book sonthing can say how can do it
Jerry capeles just go slow, its easy and not chance to break anything, if you do it wrong? Itll just be loud
i have a hesitation in a 99 crv and was wondering what you think it is. when i rev it, it hesitates between 2-3k and also when im at high speed it will run but if i try to accelerate it has no power
Not necessarily. If it's not idling rough while running in park then it's not likely a faulty valve. That could have something to do with a pressure regulator and your gas pedal if memory servers though.
I have a d16y8 i have a misfire with no codes it misfire when i first start it up in a few seconds later it clear up
How reliable is a 96 acura TL 3.3 V6
@@roninmotors7466 brilliant, thanks very much for your help.I'll be trying that today!cheers mate!
Fingers crossed this isnt my issue... tomorrow i go take a look at a new crv 🙏
its common, but so are the simple fixes.
Anonymous Were in scenic Utah :) a little far from you sadly :/
Anonymous did you figure out why it jerks?? Mine started jerking too and we can’t figure out why
What do you think a shop would charge for this job? Great videos. Sub’d!!!!
Hard to say really. Most shops are $75+/hr. Just to adjust? $100-180, diag is like $75-$125 normally
What city and state are you working out of? If your close enough one of those honda engines look sweet.
What's wrong with just putting in the one new valve in 🤷🏽♂️ it would fixed the problem correct if im wrong . But sweet diagnosis!
I changed my spark plugs today and now my CEL is blinking.. what do I do? Is it a misfire issue?
Typically a blinking CEL is a misfire yes. Read the code!
Thank you! I hope I don’t sound dumb but.. how do I read the code?
Your amazing
i thought the exhaust was .008 and intake was .005?
mm vs in. (metric vs. imperial) I show the factory hood sticker @4:34 factory showing lash specs (Intake= 0.10+/-0.2mm; Exhaust=0.18+/-0.2mm) I always encourage people to refer to factory manuals, factory stickers or google the specs themselves.
Thank you!
Christina Holland Ill help if I can, send me a PM on FB.
Someone must've superglued my distributor plugs together cause that things stuck like crazy
What about P1399?
Have you ever had a problem with p1383????
Oh you in Utah! Nice.. live in doc, west jordan to be exact. Nice vids.. y'all import any k24 motors?
Just liked and subbed!
Jiggy's Outdoors we do! K24 RBB is $1250 and CRV is less
Jiggy's Outdoors thanks! I really appreciate the support and you taking the time to watch
I think i need an engine bruh whats yr price
How poor was the poor idle? Probably pretty poor.
wsanders1 i dont really remember. It ran and drove but yeah the idle was effected for sure
Thanks. I have 99 with 58k that has a code P0300. Checking it out tomorrow.
I’m having the same but when they did a a compression test every cylinder blew 160 but one the other one blew 60 what do you think it is Please help
Either your piston ring is burned in that piston but im gonna bet u its your valve, it's burned through
typically low results are rings and zero pressure is valve. unless its partially burned. You can do a wet test, where you add a tablespoon of oil to the low cylinder. if it goes up? its worn rings
Thinking of buying the neighbors gen 1. Would like to ask you a couple of questions. Whats the best way to contact your shop? Tnx

Hey, I'm having an issue I can't figure out on my 99 CR-V. I have a p0301,2,3,4,0 and a 1399 but it runs smooth. There's a weird noise almost like loose change in the valve cover and I cannot for the life of me figure it out
Did u ever figure it out? The issue
@@joshm7876 yep need a new head and t belt
Tanks
Wait what are JDM motors?
theouterbay engines, transmissions and parts produced for the Japanese market that are later imported over. Typically much lower mileage and better condition compared to locally sourced engines and parts otherwise found at salvage yards. I own a dealership and also an importing company and repair shop.
Fantastic! Really fascinating!
Whats a job like that cost to fix it?
Danny Hernandez really depends, the cylinder heads for me are cheap. Otherwise headgaskets? 40-50, intake manifold gasket? 12 and plugs? 10 bucks
