Yea, exactly. When the Police do do well they're often more than likely let down by the judicial system. Judges giving lenient sentences, or no sentence at all but a fine and slap on the wrist is a massive problem. These teenagers will then just go out and do the same thing again a couple of weeks later....and will again get pity shown on them. It's a neverending cycle. The judges don't appear to be making things easier for the police. It's almost as if they're working against them.

I got hit off of my motorbike by a drugged up driver with no driving license & therefore no insurance or tax. Broke my back in 2 places, dislocated & shattered by shoulder. He got a driving ban for a year (what does that matter, he never had a licence before what would stop him in the future)? and like £600 fine. That's it. For breaking my back and smashing my shoulder. It's disgusting. These need harsher punishments.
Agreed, it's an absolute joke how the courts hand out light sentences for drug and drink driving, I hope you're feeling somewhat better now.

Are you a police officer? Must be so annoying having to deal with these morons and working really hard to put them away only for them to only get handed a slap on the wrist in court
@@Billyb0b557 I’m not an officer but I’ve been following most cases around the country and I can confidently say that the courts never punish them
punishment was actually decent given the outcome as per Traffic Cops S12 E02
I'm sure they got a very stern warning from the court, after they promised never to do anything like that again.

Lost a friend to a drunk joyrider, 2 lads in the car. Don’t understand it, never have, never will. Absolute waste of spaces with no care for others whatsoever.

When it said "a male passenger is livestreaming the chase" I wanted the cops to get him even more... That man thought he was so cool and was never gonna get caught, oh how wrong he was.
I doubt that he has even one brain cell. If they can't block him with cars they will call in the helicopter.

A hard working citizen who is struggling with paying bills would get worse punishment for missing rent.
Yep he give them credit like a judge gave the criminals no prison time but locked up an innocent person on 24 hours in police custody

It's unbelievable what some people do.
That car may be someone else’s pride and joy that they have sentimental value to and those scumbags have not only been in it but pushed it to its limits and then written it off. I doubt many people would hold back if they got a chance to batter them.
More important than that is the risk to pedestrians, families, children.
Yup you shouldn't even touch other people's cars, let alone go joy riding.

@ZJS 0113 My car was hit and the only damage was a scuffed wheel and dented wing but the insurance wrote it off. Insurance practically write off any car with any damage nowadays

I don’t know, I didn’t have a father figure, not very educated, go on the internet and game but I’d never do anything like that
computer gaming has nothing to do with this, and maybe lack of father figures could be one of the issues, maybe not, id boil it down to zoomers on the internet, especially from the fact that one of them was livestreaming it.
Why do Police on these tv shows make out that they are so proactive? I have reported someone several times for drug driving, no insurance and no licence. But they haven't touched him.
drug and insurance i can understand. but reporting someonr for driving without a license. snitch!
@ThomasK9133 I think you need a life lesson in right and wrong, driving without a licence, or under the influence of drugs immediately voids any insurance you may have had. It is also extremely dangerous to drive without a licence, I know a family member of mine was killed by someone who was driving without a licence.

Sometimes when I am driving I try or practice these police pursuit commentary with a random car I may be following - it is hard and awkward at first lol

I have no idea of the conclusion but based on other Police shows where they tell you at the end what sentence they receive. He'll be given a ban (even though he holds no licence) and a small fine (paid by the taxpayer because he's on benefits) and a suspended sentence.
This was just one clip - from a much longer program. They usually do tell what happened in each case at the end of the show.

At the end of these programs they give a rundown of what happened to the likes of these oxygen stealers and 9 out of 10 it says "no further action taken due to insufficient evidence"🙄

Which is fine, until all the criminals know they can use the roads with complete impunity. London had a policy to "not chase" motorcycles, which led to a massive increase in moped-enabled street robberies and car jackings. They since changed their policy to allow their cops to pursue and ram them off the bikes - guess what? Moped-enabled crime plummeted.
As long as police pursuits are managed and risk assessed well, they are a necessary evil to reduce serious crime and deny criminals the use of the road.

Very little damage actually, cosmetic, front bumper which is what they are designed for. The wall took the brunt of the force deceleration, which is what you want. A decent technician can rectify minor scratches and dents for next to nothing
