The moment where Sam is publicly humiliated by everyone at the pep rally always makes me cry. Hilary Duff's hurt facial expression REALLY sells the moment, and makes you want to comfort Sam. 💔
IKR and none of the teachers did anything even though they all looked uncomfortable. At least Carter took her away & he knew what was up!
Even creepy Howard Wolowitz is still a better guy than Austin and that's just sad.
I agree when I saw that I was literally hurting for her 😭😡
I feel for both Austin and Sam because Austin was not part of that, he didn't set her up he was hurt by it just as much as she was.
Does what happened to Sam count as betrayal because none of those girls were her friends or even pretended to be.
I love A Cinderella Story, but that moment when the secret was revealed and Austin looked at Sam like she had wrong him and turned away from her...I was so mad. I wanted him to stand up for her.
He was so not worth it. I always thought that even when I first watched the movie at like 12
❤️🌌🗺🌎🌍🌏 Yeah Same Here In 2003 I was 12 & The whole time th@ Damn scene was going on I was like why don’t the teachers & or the school stop this
I mean u can’t get 2gether & humiliate a girl like th@ in front the whole school & they just let it happen
Course as soon as Carter & Sam realized what was going on they immediately should’ve left
@ Least The movie has a charming ending
@@htcm038 I guess as bad as it sounds/is its realistic in that sense. With a lot of cases of bullying teachers do jack. I heard from a person 2 years below me at school or something that a girl killed herself & a veteran teacher of the school that was always a fave with the students he suspects left in protest of how poorly the heads handled it. Those with the power just do not care enough
@@dreamsteddybearsmaster ❤️🌌🗺🌎🌍🌏 Yeah ugh th@ poor girl & teacher @ least he’s sorry bout the whole situation
Should bullying b a crime
Mm
@@htcm038 If it drives people to death and their tormentors are known to everyone I think it can count as manslaughter. Many ex students parents I have since met also ask me if I had issues with bullying... most I got was discrimination so I guess I was one of the luckier ones!
That storyline from Easy A was particularly disgusting considering the fact that teachers taking advantage of students in that way happens all the time
I wouldn't say all the time, but women getting away with happens more than male ones.
NOBODY should be outed against their consent, and Martin made me SO angry for outing Simon to the entire school, apparently not realising the outcome.
Tell that to Florida.
@TheRapper10000 teaching truth is not grooming them. All your precious act does is keep them from knowing it. The GOP is lying to you and your children. Accusing the LGBT community of grooming kids is distracting people from _actual_ groomers. _Real_ dangers to society. A lot of whom are in churches and cults.
But you're just afraid of what isn't “the norm."
@TheRapper10000 Well yeah, it's not against the law, its just an asshole thing to do.
haha, yeah, had a "friend" who outed me knowingly in front of some homophobes.
Those were people I had to deal daily with (on a neutral basis, not that I wanted to be friends with them).
My "friend" said "Maybe they see people like you now differently after knowing that."
They didn't. They shunned me during breaks and outed me to others. My life at work was miserable.
@@schlamuffenimperator9460 Oh, that's so terrible, I'm sorry you had to deal with those sorts of people and have toxic 'friends' like that!
Mia definitely didn't deserve to be humiliated like that
Ikr I get bullying her but that's a whole different level doing that to someone it crossing the line reminds me of Emma Watson's 18 bday
Tbh, those stepsisters made me mad on A Cinderella Story because Sam didn’t deserve this at all.
Yeah I really felt sorry for sam
I always wanted to see Sam beat the heck out of them
I wasn't shocked when the girls did Sam's emails as a skit but Austin's reaction made me mad. But then we wouldn't have got Sam's locker room speech 👏
I think Mia had it worst. The paparazzi were trying to take pics of her, and she was undressed. And they tried to force her to get married, which is never cool, but unfortunately happens in real life.
What Martin did to Simon is truly disgusting he never should had outed him
@TheRapper10000 it’s a good movie if you look at it in the right way
I think that didn't happen in the book.
I’m not too sure Sam’s stepsisters teaming up with Shelby to humiliate her was a betrayal considering she never got on with them anyway.
Hell Austin just sitting there quiet and not saying or doing a thing is more of a betrayal then that.
wow
I completely agree. She knew the sisters were capable of something like that, but Austin was embarrassed and full on avoided her. However, what the Stepmother did was terrible. Hiding the Princeton acceptance letter was criminal.
@@withniejules2244 as always
That's exactly what I was thinking.
@@kitsunesan7972 wow
No matter how many times I see Never Been Kissed, that scene always makes me hurt for Josie. Drew Barrymore really sold the crushing humiliation.
I’m glad the Clovers won on Bring It On, that other team deserved to lose because all they did was to copying their routines. The first Princess Diaries helped me realized everyone is not your friend.
But it wasn't the their fault it was the former captain
@@minniepeyton3210 Yeah Big Red was a thief with zero remorse .
Not even Lily!
I was happy for the Clovers but also happy to see Torrance turn into a real Captain, right the wrong and develop her own routines despite all the betrayals in her life.
I remembered the Cinderella story movie. Sam was stuck at her job and her step-mother and step-sisters.
I watched A Cinderella story all the time as a kid. But that moment when she got humiliated I wanted to punch the tar out of her bullies and Austin. Austin didn’t even stand up for her when he found out the truth, he just turned away in shame that it was her in the end. He did not deserve Sam at the end! Sam deserved better
It was satisfying to see that Fiona got arrested at the end of the movie
Bc he's trapped in his own victim. Choosing between his repetition and his dad or Sam. It's a bind everyone would fall in once in a while
Emma’s fake prom was the worst one in my opinion. All the school left her out, that goes beyond
The most painful form of betrayal comes from someone you greatly trusted
The greater the trust, the greater the betrayal
@@ItsJennayTee tell that to Monica Lewinsky
As they say, betrayal doesn’t come form your enemies
Where were the teachers during that skit?? One of your students is bullied and humiliated by entire crowd of people, and no one tried to stop it. That to me is absolutely shocking and the true betrayal of all that.
Fr and plus what teacher said yeah y’all can perform this at the pep rally
Honestly I think the most shocking betrayal in a teen movie was in Britney Spears movie, crossroads. Even though the movie didn’t take off it was kinda full on. When kit went to go see her fiancé she found out that he was cheating on her, not only that but he got her best friend pregnant after he took advantage of her and didn’t even tell kit. The day he took advantage of her friend was the same day he proposed to her. To all this all he had to say was “I’m sorry” with no emotion…
What the stepsisters did to Sam was terrible, but not a betrayel. They were horrible to her from the beginning, and were never on her side
true , but it still was nasty that they stopped so low to publicly humiliate her in front of her school peers .
Love that Jawbreaker got a mention. Such an under rated film.
I've watched A Cinderella Story plenty of times, and that scene always upsets me and makes me wonder how and why did the teachers didn't do anything all the time. Though, Austin's reaction disappointed me the most, but without that, we wouldn't see Sam's locker speech! But nevertheless, I love the movie with all my heart, and I will never be tired of watching it over and over again !
Because teachers interrupting bullies to stop bullying would've simply ended the movie
Judging by the comments, Sam's betrayal in a Cinderella story should've been higher. Such public humiliation AND being abandoned by the guy who liked her, AND the Princeton thing. It's difficult not to feel for her.
Even though Cassie deservedly received a lot of flack for seeing her friend's ex, Nate also slept with HIS friend's ex. However, maybe it's not acknowledged since McKay ceases to be plot relevant in Season 2, only appearing in the New Year's Eve scene before disappearing afterwards.
I mean Cassie did officially break it off with him, and wasn’t going to be loyal to him since she got the new attention
The end of Cruel Intentions will be iconic forever
oooh VERY MUCH so
yep
The stepsisters in A Cinderella Story got me so mad. Even when they decide to team up with Shelby against Sam. Especially when Austin didn't stand for Sam, it's like he's got a reputation to hold. Also, when Fiona found her Princeton acceptance letter, copied and changed it to rejected just so she still work at the diner. I was like "this woman is crazy". Thank goodness Sam stood up to her & Austin
Betrayal is why I ended my friendship with my ex best friend. I met a girl I went out with her then I told him about it thinking he would be happy for me, but instead he went and told the girl’s friend who knew me that we had gone out they didn’t want us to date so they forced her to break up with me.
I’m so sorry that happened to you, my sisters best friend of 30 plus years had an affair with my sisters ex husband! Lied to her face about it but it all came out and now my sister is in a new relationship with someone who genuinely loves her.
I was furious learning that Torrance was betrayed by big red
Cruel Intentions taking number 1 spot! The entire movie IS THE BETRAYAL
The Girl Next Door, Sydney White & Odd Girl Out should be on this list!!!
Glad that cruel intentions gets the number 1 spot 💯
When I saw the title I immediately thought cruel intentions...👌🏽
coool
both of those siblings needed to be going to therapy
I always felt a bit conflicted with Cruel Intentions . Sebastian dies revealing everything .. but he was part of the cruel bet aswell, both him & his sister were twisted . He wasn't exactly a nice person either... he went around blackmailing & manipulating . I know by him coming clean to Annette & with his journal, that he's redeemed himself and it's his salvation .But Sebastian was still as nasty as Kathryn , he treated people like pawns , until he fell in love with Annette ..then he grew a conscience & he felt remorse . Kathryn is seen as the only villain ..when they were both as bad , yes she's the instigator/puppet master .. but he went along with the game , It's only when he realised she was just using & manipulating him for her own enjoyment .. that he didn't like it . But it's still clear Kathryn has no remorse I guess ,and Sebastian has had his final laugh.
@@sweetc832002 So true lol 💀. Classic ending though , especially the music track 🙌🎶🎵 .
A Cinderella story is a great movie and when Sam was humiliated in front of the whole and everyone was making fun of her,I felt so bad for her
The Mia and Sam ones were the worst. Talk about overkill....
No mention of Carrie?
I really hated that Martin in "Love, Simon" when he outed Simon. Simon tried to help him even if it didnt turn out like he wanted. I coudn't help but feel bad for Simon, but few have said they would tell him "Seems like classic Martin, but you also did this to yourself Simon. You can still make this right. Just talk to your friends, I'm sure they'll understand". Whats also a betrayal is that Simon's friends abandoned him when he needed them the most, and they did nothing when Simon was openly mocked in the cafeteria that day. Some friends they are. Yeah Simon manipulating them was wrong, but he still needed them
It was MUCH better in the book. Abby is mad when she learns about the manipulation, but it was framed as "I'm pissed and I need some time to myself." and they were cool after that, because she knew that Simon was also in a bad position. Leah was never in love with Simon. She was just dealing with feeling like an outsider in her own friend group and was mostly lashing out due to her own anxiety. Again, it's framed as a misunderstanding, and they make up quickly. Hell, just after Simon is outed, Nick and Abby immediately take him to a gay bar to try and cheer him up!
I’d argue the worse betrayal in Love, Simon is all of Simon’s friends abandoning him like that after the whole reveal. Yeah, I know what he did wasn’t good, but can you blame someone in a situation like his, where he’s threatened with being outed? And they can’t push that aside to be with him in his time of need? I don’t remember that being in the book. Also… the film has him forgive them? That’s a giant black mark on an otherwise great film.
Awesome video thanks for sharing
And this is why I hate the teen/school genre. The protagonists are always humiliated by shallow bimbos and two-faced prince charmings who never got proper punishments... not even expulsions.
I mean JD got a pretty good punishment when he literally blew up.
@@michaelinthebathroom7560 Who's JD ?
@@aidanhever3369 the antagonist in Heathers. His whole deal is that his mother killed herself by going into a building his father, a demolitionist, was about to destroy when he was like 8. His ideology is that he has to show people that high school is just like society and you can't let yourself get pushed around by popular people. By the end of the movie he's basically lost his mind. His only way to cope with him and his dad moving all the time is going to 7-11.
@@michaelinthebathroom7560 What movie does it come from ?
@@aidanhever3369 Heathers. There's also a musical based on it and a (awful) TV show.
The moment when Sam was humiliated was so cruel😫
what kind of sisters would do this to their own sister ,that's so despicable, not to mention that Austin didn't stand up for her when he found out her identity
I have had two people when I was a teen that I thought were my friends but at the end they wanted nothing to do with me and they never said anything to me at all about it being over. Several of my other friendships in real life haven't lasted very long. I haven't had friends in real life in many years and I rather it stay that way.
I think you should have also included Cyberbully and Odd Girl Out.
Was scrolling to find a cyberbully comment. Think about that movie all the time. So under appreciated
Odd Girl Out made me cry so bad when no one was at the party
Oh my goodness cyber bully that really messed me up when I watched it I couldn’t believe it
What a girl wants Daphne finds out Alester sent her mother away
Amazing video of betrayal in teen movies ms mojo, fantastic job. Is there any betrayal in 16 candies or weird science maybe teen wolf too.
Very very great list I like it a lot very great job mis mojo one of my absolute favorite list ever 💗
10 things I hate about you: I don't see Patrick accepting some idiots money for pointing out the most interesting girl in school. Chances are he would have tried to get to know Kat with or without the others running interference
The only difference is he never would have sang "Can't take my eyes off of you" and really that scene makes the whole movie
They should’ve included Al’s betrayal in Divergent. He was a good friend to Tris & the rest of his fellow transfers, but seeing how good Tris is doing in Dauntless initiation following by her rejection to his affections his desperation fell prey to joining Peter to scare, nearly killed, & assaulting Tris in the dauntless chasm.😔
There’s also Caleb’s betrayal in Insurgent who aligned himself with Jeanine in hunting divergents & participating in his sister’s torture. Although this is mainly due to blind obedience to a “just cause” that Jeanine fed lies about, it still hurt seeing that the person who you love in your family backstabbed you.
Then let’s not forget Teresa’s betrayal. In Maze Runner. Like Caleb she thought by rejoining WCKD in their gruesome attempts to find a cure for the disease would be worth the sacrifices of innocent civilians. Though she would redeem herself herself in the end, the betrayal still hurt Thomas & friends.
Then there’s Edmund Pevensie, as a said before nothing is worse than being betrayed by your own family & Edmund’s was utterly painful. To be fair, Edmund was only a child & never intentionally wanted to betray his siblings. He simply wanted to be respected & fell prey to the white witch’s beauty, façade kindly nature, her false promises, & sweet treats. Unintentional or not, Edmund’s betrayal brought grave actions with nearly condemning himself & his siblings to death, almost putting an end to Narnia, & petrifying Mr. Tumnus, the Fox, & anyone who stood against the witch. He was forgiven & saved by Aslan, but Edmund’s betrayal would forever follow him.
Surprised Carrie wasn't on this list
Where’s Shane Gray finding out that Mitchie Torres lied about her life after he bared his soul to her
I feel like that wasn't a betrayal of Shane's because it was more about Mitchie wanting to fit in than impressing Shane. If anything it's a betrayal to the camp members Tess, and her friends.
I love the ending of cruel intentions
I still wonder if that’s an inspiration for Charming but very different. If anyone has seen the animated Netflix movie, you know what I mean
Honestly the most shocking in my opinion was when I watched cyber bully as a teen with Emily Osmet and it was her best friend that was the cyber bully I never saw that coming
Good list..the number 1 pick was definitely on my list.
#9, #8, #7, #5, 'Charlie Kisses Sam', 'The Prom Flashback', and 'Emma's Inclusive Prom Gets Sabotaged' pissed me off SO much!
The Sam was horrible but I don't consider it a betrayal because the girls nor her step sisters were her friends or people she trusted. It was more bullying than betrayal. Betrayal is more done by someone whose a friend, trust or in Bring it on Look up to.
The 13 going on 30 was a good self betrayal. Betrayal would be another name for Cruel intention
I think it's a betrayal but they worded it wrong. She was betrayed by Austin, who went all out then turned his back on her, and the stepmother thing, she didn't like them but she still thought they were better than what they did
And the song bittersweet symphony was the greatest ending to that movie The period to that whole statement
My top 5
1. A Cinderella Story
Was the step mother the same actress who played Paulette in Legally Blonde?
2. Bring It On
3. Easy A
4. Mean Girls
5. Princess Diaries
Yes, she was!
Jennifer Coolidge. She was also Stifler's mom in American Pie, and The Queen of Gnarnia in Epic Movie. She was also in Date Movie when they made fun of Meet the Fockers
Honestly, what her stepsisters and Shelby's friends did to Sam was truly cruel and unforgivable 😢
Now that was just cruel. I first watched this movie two years ago on Netflix. Fell in love with this musical movie
Carrie was undeniably the ultimate in betrayal
Make a top 10 best Logan and Camille moments in Big Time Rush, please.
I love Cinderella story but boy was I so furious of what happened and made sam cry and lost everything you just want to give her a hug.
I felt bad for Mia aka Princess Mia. Also, I don’t like Mandy Moore’s character
how could they NOT pute MEAN GIRLS ON THE LIST
The never been kissed betrayal made me sad
Waiting for you is like waiting for rain in this drought
Well, I think in the end John Tucker actually just realized he was polyamorous.
I just KNEW Cruel Intentions would be ##1
Mmmaannn I was like 11 when that movie came out but it still affected me 😩😩
Shocking teen betrayals
The moment where Sam gets publicity humiliated by everyone at the pep rally always makes me cry really breaks my heart seeing how hurt she was and the fact that Austin was trying to fake her hurt by just sitting their in silence. That was messed up. No one should protect their reputation for the sake of someone else getting hurt.
Anther Cinderella Story-When Britt, Bree and Natalia publicly humiliated Mary in front of the school by playing that video of Mary when she was younger/ Natalia sneaking into Joey Parker’s house I thought that was messed up that really ruined Mary emotionally.
Mean Girls 2 -When Abby finds out the truth that her dad was paying Jo pretending to be friends with her.
The Duff- Bianca finding out everyone claiming she was the DUFF
Aquamarine- when Cecilia was trying to get a boy to throw Claire in the pool when Claire was ready scared. It was a good thing that Raymond stepped in and told Cecilia off.
Crazy Rich Asians- Nick Young’s mom completely humiliated Rachel Chu good thing Rachel had Peik Lin Goh her best friend during that time.
I still can’t watch that scene when the secret is revealed in a Cinderella story.
A Cinderella Story would have been #1 for me..
The Perks of Being A Wallflower is my favorite movie along with Harry Potter. I’ve watched it so many times, but I don’t think him kissing Sam was a shocking or horrible betrayal. He kissed who he thought was the prettiest girl in the room. Usually I would feel bad, but Mary was too much. No one deserves to have that happen to them, it’s just she was so wrapped up in being someone’s girlfriend that she was blind to the fact that they no chemistry and that Charlie was the nice guy who didn’t want to hurt her feelings. It wasn’t okay what he did, but Mary didn’t treat Charlie like they were equal she treated like a playground relationship where the guy is quiet and can’t get a word in. Sam’s and Charlie relationship was a real connection. The kiss was more awkward than sad or a betrayal feeling.
There’s versions of Cinderella I love such as A Cinderella Story but this, it breaks my heart
Cruel Intentions was a teen remake of Dangerous Liasons.
cruel intentions had the best betrayal by far
the bet for she's all that carrie for sure she finds out something then she decides flames don't mess with carrie for cinderella story sam's everything hurts just downright hurts she didn't deserve that it's against her privacy
Honestly Carrie had the worst out of all of them. Humiliated by the girls in the locker-room in fear of her first period while Chris records her then puts it on the internet and hours later, she has pigs blood drop on top of her during at Prom and show the video!
That was awful. First time I watched She’s All That and it’s awful. Real nice, Fred Jones
The prom flashback from Never Been Kissed should have been at the number 1 spot. For sure. It truly is the worst, and most plausible, of all premises of those teen dramas that could have happened irl.
When I was in 5th grade, my best friend had a sleepover with a bunch people (girls I knew, but weren’t friends with) when I woke up the next morning( I was first awake) I had Jelly smeared all over me (Im a heavy sleeper, unfortunately) and was covered with different spices. My parents bathroom stunk for like a week.
Love Simon was the most heartbreaking movie I have ever seen
I loved most of these movies growing up.
I say mean girls 1&2 also the princess diaries easy A bring it on (2000)
what about Carrie!!!

Mean girls ❤️❤️ best teen movie 🍿🍿
Or the ambush for poor princess Mia now queen Mia and josh is going to be a footnote on her story
I missed these kind of movie. Very simple but a lot of funny drama. Hehehe
90s and 2000s teen movies were the best
omg when i saw the empty parking lot in the prom, i was so upset
I seen at least three of these movies the rest I got to look up.
actually it was not zack that was the villain it was actually both preston , dean sampson jr and taylor vaughan they were the real masterminds behind the bet
Yeah I would’ve been so mad at my stepsisters for doing that to her. Poor Sam I would move so far away
Those betrayals were brutal and heartbreaking to watch but the wicked will suffer in the end
Trust me betrayals are brutal
I haven't seen Heather's, The prom or Jawbreakers, but I love the rest.
When you come here to see if there’s a movie of betrayal that you haven’t seen yet but you have seen it All 🤦🏽♀️🤣🤣
To be honest, neither Zack nor Patrick should have been given second chances. Making a bet to date the least popular student in the school is toxic, because that means you're just seeking validation. I was somewhat of an outcast in high school, and if I found out that a girl made a bet to take me out on a date, I would not want anything to do with her. I don't care if those guys developed feelings towards the main girls. The fact that they made a bet to begin with should have got them slapped by the main girls and shunned by other students. Pretty sure that's what would happen in the real world.
I read the novel that POBAW was based off of, and even I felt the sting of that betrayal. Worst part was that Charlie ended the book with neither of them. Which may have been for the best, but I still can't forgive him for that decision.
Cruel Intentions was an awesome movie. 👌🏼
💸 Lana Using Joel
"Risky Business" (1983)
What about Andies betrayal by Blane and his friends in Pretty in Pink? Rejecting her at the last minute for the prom was crappy. I always get a lump in my throat when Ducky is waiting for her at the prom. I never liked the ending tho I thought she was to good for Blane
Awesome and cool! ^_^
