- After 2 months finally here is my review of the PLM Header & Skunk2 Megapower RR 3 Inch Catback Exhaust that was installed in my 2002 Honda Integra Type R (Acura RSX Type S) DC5. Here the sound of VTEC accelerating from the K20a2 with the new mods. Enjoy!

i bet this exhaust sounds beautful in person, im pretty sure the mic didnt catch the pure sound and thats y it sounds pretty high-pitched.

Hey Man! I live in Sydney and recently bought myself a JDM EP3. I was thinking of going for a skunk2 megapower r exhaust and skunk2 alpha headers. I was a little worried for the sound... do you reckon it will be super drony on highways going 100km/h? and do you think the skunk2 mods will be okay for daily driving? Thank you!
I love my skunk2 megapower rr exhaust but the highway droning is getting to me especially with wife and/or kid is in the car. Looking at a nice Vibrant resonator

Yes it is I bought the PLM headers and Skunk 2 70mm exhaust for my DC5 type r and I purchased it from a US website for the Acura Integra type s. So yes it's compatible with your car.

I have a yonaka 2.5" exhaust on my k20a3 with a test pipe. Sadly the hanger arm or hook snapped off the test pipe from scraping a few times since the whole exhaust system hangs a bit low. It got hit again and now i have a serious exhaust leek between the header and downpipe. To have the hanger arm re-welded cost $200. But im considering just getting the same PLM headers for my k20a3 but im curious as to if anyone knows whether it will fit or not. I even called PLM and they said they dont know since i have an auto RSX... I asked if i can test fit but if it don't fit i gotta pay a 20% restocking fee and double shipping cost. Seems kind of unfair as this should be given info. But any advice from the DC5 community would help as this is a daily i just wanna have fun with.
Ericship, does the PLM header leak really bad? Did you weld the slip joints? I have broken 2 DCRH's at the welds on my K24/K20. I am running HASport U70a race mounts, and and EM1 front sway. They keep banging on my sub-frame. I think the only way I am going to get around this is getting a custom made header... This is in my RSX Type S BTW.
You should really look into getting Hondata K-Pro or any other quality programmable ECU and have the car dyno tuned. I watched a video of a K swapped I/H/E DC2 Integra getting tuned on the dyno. I currently am looking for PLM Headers; I have rsx type 03' w/ HKS-Hi Power 60mm (2.5inch) and im looking for PLM headers to fit. Do you have a product link for the PLM headers?

I have the same exhaust but with hytech headers and a test pipe on my 01 gsr and it's way too loud for my taste.. vtec cracks but it's not an enjoyable sound so to start I'll im throwing the cat on this weekend. Looking to get an Apexi NOIR or WS2 soon though

Did the Skunk2 exhaust bolt right up to the PLM header or was there some modifying to do?
The flange of the mid pipe supplied from PLM needed to get custom fabricated as the end of the mid pipe connecting to the catback was a 3 bolt flange whereas the skunk2 exahust uses 2 bolt flanges. Its an easy job for anyone with experience but not a complete bolt on combination.

Honestly I think it's the mic's settings that make it sound like a ricer exhaust. There's someone else on UA-cam that made a very high quality video with this exhaust and it sounds amazing.

It's over 500 bucks just for a catback. Skunk2 makes good high quality racing parts that are functional. Not rice at all
