I personally love the ratchet mechanism so much, I doubt I'll ever go back to traditional "hole" belts. With traditional belts, the fit is never quite right. With a ratchet belt, the fit is exactly right every time.
Since when, does a man have to open his belt to do a number one? Recently purchased the inch and a quarter for formal wear and can see why the wider belt is better for regular wear. I am a fan of military belts(web) and find the Anson system a great application for the more formal leather style.

any belts in this video can stand up to all of the above!! the Anson invincibelt is basically waterproof though, whereas standard leather can handle water just fine, but if you're going to be really submerging it, like in a scuba-diving scenario, I'd probably go with the Anson invincibelt :)
