    400 dollar shoe! I been around the block few times but never aware of a shoe can cost $400. I hope you get a full set of 2.

    Thank you for a great review. I actually bought the 3 buckles and 2 straps recently. The 3rd strap hole had advertising in it. Great call on that.

    I purchased two Anson buckles and both buckles failed me. There is a thin small swivel pin that on both buckles bent and fell out. I contacted them about this problem and they never got back with me.

    • @averagejoelife6121
      @averagejoelife6121  4 роки тому

      Wow I've never heard of that issue before. How did you contact them? They answered both email and Facebook messenger for me almost immediately. Not sure how response time is right this moment given circumstances.

      @@averagejoelife6121 I contacted them by email. When I got my first belt & buckle and told them that I liked the system they got back the same day. But after the first buckle fail then the second one they refused to respond back after many emails later. As we know a chain is as strong as it's weakest link. So as the swivel pins in Anson buckles. Let me clarify I purchased a gun belt and buckle not a fashion one. But thinking it shouldn't have fail apart anyway lol.

      @@darrylbrooks9340 I'm debating on purchasing from Anson but I'd really be interested in knowing how your experience is playing out. It's been about a week since you posted. Has your issue been resolved yet or is it still in limbo?

      @@MontyFox No my position with Anson has never been solved.They have not answered my multiple requests via emails. I guess they can hide behind those emails and answer if they want to or not. Anson is based in North Carolina and I live not far from there base. I've emailed them saying that I could bring back the broken buckles in person but to no avale.

      That's really unlike them. Again I don't know if it's because of limited staff due to current conditions out there or what but they've been answering every tweet & Facebook message I've seen posted within hours. I don't know why they'd be dodging emails about replacements, I've been offered a replacement in the past no questions asked really. I have no affiliation with them whatsoever except the fact that I've bought from them a handful of times and decided to make this video without their knowledge but their customer service is usually top notch. Sorry you're going through this.

    These belts are terrible. Mine got stuck on and I had to cut it off with scissors. Ruined it so I threw it away.

  • @sneadh1

    I got the 3 belt, 2 buckle set. After a time, one buckle kept coming undone! The way it attaches is a defective design. No matter how hard I push the strap into th buckle, it gets pushed back a bit when it is closed. Later a tiny movement of the strap toward the buckle, which can happen when getting undressed, uncouples it! I've also had trouble with the little lever sticking and it will take several tries when trying to tighten or loosen the belt. The best thing about Anson is the leather quality.

    Are you showing the 1.25" or the 1.5" width straps?

    • @averagejoelife6121
      @averagejoelife6121  4 роки тому +2

      Great question! I've always ordered the 1.25" because when I first started my Anson collection I was wearing a suit or dress clothes to work everyday. Now I don't but it's fine because 1.25" is versatile enough for me. If I were to switch over to 1.5" now I'd need all new straps and buckles or at least wouldn't be able to swap in what I have.

      I love my Grip 6 belt but I needed a leather belt in a similar design, with leather to wear at a wedding. So I went with Anson. I wish that Grip 6 expanded their strap materials.

    Hi Joe for these kinds of belts without holes or ratchet belts as they are called kore is the leader or best in this guys opinion. I had the anson but the leather aint near as good.

      I've since tried Kore, Anson, and Mission. Mission is my least favorite of the bunch. For dress cloths which I was wearing on a daily basis I prefer Anson looks wise and some of their options. Kore is great for jeans when I'm doing firewood or more labor intensive work. All just in my opinion tho. Thanks for your opinions too, I'm sure they'll help other viewers!

    I like that I don’t see branding on the buckle, because a competitor of theirs does and it looks awful. The sole reason I don’t buy their belt is they have competitors that make them in the USA.

    Quick question: At 8:12 you have all of your belts lined up. Which brown is the one that's 6th down from the top? Thanks!

    • @averagejoelife6121
      @averagejoelife6121  3 роки тому +2

      I'm going to list off all 4 browns ones just because last time I answered one of these I think the person miss counted and left out the black fabric one on the top.
      1: Saddle Tan (formal)
      2: Light Brown Vegetable (casual) (looks nothing like the color on the site, I don't know if they sent me the wrong one or if the color has since changed)
      3: Chocolate (formal I believe this is the one you're looking for)
      4: Dark Brown (formal)

      Second person to say this, what in particular do you like better about them? I've only tried Anson and Mission, Anson lasts way longer for me and had better customer service, other than that similar function. What makes Kore stand out? (Not questioning your judgement, genuinely curious bc I've never used them)

    Hi David. I am looking to purchase my first Anson Belt and came across your review during my research. In this video, when you are showing the nine belts at 8:10, can you tell me the exact brown colors that you are showing, starting with the fourth from the top? My guesses are: (1) Saddle Tan (formal) Leather Strap, (2) Saddle Tan Vegetable Tanned (casual) Leather Strap, and (3) Chocolate (formal) Leather Strap. Is this right Thanks!

    • @averagejoelife6121
      @averagejoelife6121  4 роки тому +3

      Sorry for the delayed response, I wasn't 100% sure on a couple so I tried to log into my account with Anson but all of my previous orders only show that I ordered the bundle but not the individual products. Luckily I kept all of my e-mailed receipts so the 4 brown belts in order are:
      1: Saddle Tan (formal)
      2: Light Brown Vegetable (casual) (looks nothing like the color on the site, I don't know if they sent me the wrong one or if the color has since changed)
      3: Chocolate (formal)
      4: Dark Brown (formal)
      One other interesting way to distinguish casual vs formal is the number of lines of stitching. Anson's casual straps have 1 line and formal have 2.
