Hinduism was never against building a toilet in house. But the fact is the earliest toilets were found in 'The Indus Valley Civilization'. In villages, most people are not aware of the real teachings of Hinduism coz a lot of foreign attacks happened on India in the past which distorted our scriptures and teachings.

@@thededro3352 Manusmriti doesnt say don't build toilet. It said not to defecate in the house because in the absence of modern sewer and plumbing, waste would collect under the house in a hole and cause infection as there was no outlet back then. Even Indus Valley Civilization had toilets only in upper class households that could create and maintain plumbing. Otherwise, it was public toilet in some areas or no toilets. As was the case everywhere else in the world too. In India too, even several villages 200 years old, have households with a toilet within the house compound like an outhouse and a covered tank below it where poop solidifies over time. That is how the Indian style toilet with a hole in the ground came to be. But not many could afford that construction when going out was easier and cheaper, especially when you have your own agriculture fields. Majority of the people did not change because of their own lack of education, not because it is forbidden anywhere. The society doesn't blindly follow illogical statements written anywhere unless there are economic, developmental, social and technological limitations that enable it. People are not deliberately stupid who follow a random illogical book. Realities are driven by the contexts they are set in. :)

Being an Indian, I had no idea that there are still places where toilets aren’t built inside the house. And I had no idea it’s connected to religion whatsoever. Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar are really good at showing social issues on the big screen!! It’s amazing.. so inspiring!
It's not connected to religion per se rather socially I can say this cause in my village in we had toilet from the time I was born
You must have never gone to the Village. If anyone has visited Indian villages then they would have known about toilet problems. The issue is Most city people never visit villages so they aren't aware of problems occurring there.
And personal toilets were present in palaces back in the time. But some people misinterpreted some Vedic texts and thought building a toilet is not good. In reality it was written to build toilets but not close to your living room or kitchen due to certain germs, bacteria, virus may come into the house.

The earliest known toilets were found in the Indus Valley Civilization in northwestern India and Pakistan, dating to around 2800 BC. thy were using a flush system attached to it..but 95% people don't know ths fact..flush is invented in indus valley but look at the situation now..this gov is changing the situation and helping lot for the awareness of the people in villages👍🏻

I have watched most of your reaction videos and I would like you guys to watch 2 states.
It's just a misunderstanding and blind faith of rural village people. Religion never said not to build toilets. If text mentions, don't do toilet in the same place you live, go outside. It has nothing to do with the religion. Many texts are well researched ideas and were written for a reason. But cause people don't read and understand them completely and clearly, they misunderstand a lots of things. Humans are like that. That's why this idea works, where you pass a information from one person to another just to find out that not only the words but even the meaning have been changed by the people passing the information.
Few years back we had toilets that were not built inside the room but little far from the house, but now time has changed and there are 2-3 toilets in many homes, inside the room or even next to kitchen.😂😅

Our Prime minister Mr Narendra Modi ji is doing huge task to build 100 percent toilets in every house in India.
This toilet thing not inside your house is not in religious text but in a text called manusmriti which was type of constitution and defined rules but it only said to make toilets away from home becz we didnt have such tech to prevent from the diseases but it also advices to not defect in open area,open body etc but peole in modern era still follows it and in uninformed manner they know only half text and only focus on not defect inside house and dont try to understand that it was to prevent from diseases and in todays time we dont need same old traditions and still if you want to follow it that tradition prohibit you to defect in open unlike what some people do today..so when people are uniformed about their texts and still follows the old tradition and that too not in complete way (but not needed now) ..these things happen
