@@gojirarex5138 lol, sorry but that's not true, lez be honest. There are so many exceptions to the "just act natural bruh" approach, that is IS hard to remember. Sitting out in the open by a carcass until it despawns, while you're getting dehydrated, is not what a real dinosaur would do. A specific max pack, including all kinds of exceptions when it comes to juvies, subadults and high tier dinosaurs changing the limits of a mixed herd, is not what a real dinosaur would do. A lot of dinosaurs were probably territorial, just as modern day animal, but but but you can't be territorial on The Isle. Oh and how about this one: "If a dino gets too close for comfort, you have to 3-call first to let the dino know they are too close for comfort, if the dino does not respond with a 4-call, within 20 seconds, you may attack". So if I'm hiding in a bush from a large carnivore, I have to call out first, giving away my location, technically. And then I gotta remember to count to 20 mississippi's. I don't think a real dinosaur would have done that... This another funny one: Suchomimus, Spinosaurus and Baryonyx are allowed to sit in the water, unless another dinosaur 3-calls, then they have to get out". In any case, the list goes on and on and I don't even think this server I was on was one of the worst in terms of rules. Sure, you'll remember after playing on a server for several times, but the first couple of times, you can't be expected to know all of it. And then you have to consider that different servers have different rules, so if you switch from one to another, it's likely you're going to get some of the rules mixed up. On another server, you might have to count for 25 mississippi's for example... Sorry, I don't intend to come off mean, a long reply just really best expresses the absurdity of it all :P
@@EvolutionSquare there are servers that use territories as one off there rules and a dinosaur will obviously try to scare someone with a 3 call if they get too close and what if your hiding you sure you need cuz i dont and im never banned and just say that i need water in the chat so the admins understand that you have to go and yeah some packs do make little sense expt apexs as you wont see 20rexs together irl

When you watch a video you tend to get 'inside' of it, and a veteran The Isle player would definitely be doing many things in a different way... ;) I think most people generally end up like that though! I think thatyou are not annoying, however.You're witty, you genuinely give the feeling that you're curious about everything and you sound like you're not trying hard, I bet you were / are great at college expositions!
Soooo i'm not sure that you know of someone told you but when you got healed by that admin, if you would of looked at your growth at that moment...it would have shown that the Admin ad grown and healed you so you wouldn't have starved. Also great video E.S

Not sure if anyone has covered hiding the chat yet, but here's a couple of helpful tips anyway. - F10 will hide the entire HUD, great for screenshots, not so great for general gameplay, just press again to make it return. It makes a sound, don't be alarmed. - As for just general gameplay, Settings -> Gameplay -> Untick the Chat HUD. It will auto-hide the chat but will reappear whenever you get a message. Just use your chat switch keys to switch to group or local so it doesn't reappear every time someone types in global. If you interact with the chat (switching between them or writing a message) it will pop back up temporarily.

If you see ”someone” has forced your growth and healed you, it’s an admin. Admin can make someone grow using admin commands, so if you do see that someone has, press esc and hit grow.
You can make chat disappear by pressing the brackets ( [ or ] ) to switch between chat channels. If you aren't in a group I'd go to group, or you could go to Local, which is a proximity chat that works only for the same species ^^
Just a little tip about the ceratosaurs: It has a really good turn radius and a very useful trot (by pressing Z) and it can outrun most of its predators. I really like videos like these where people that are new to a game and do these videos Good luck on your Isle journey!
Late tip: when eating or drinking look DOWN at the thing you are trying to consume. I’ve noticed you have tried to drink or eat while looking away at the thing you are trying to drink or eat. Also, calls are broadcast (1), friendly (2), aggressive (3), HELP! (4) Oh, to get the chat out what I do is just switch to “local” chat or “group” chat, it depends on what I want.

0:27 Tyrannos. Shitty stamina and mediocre run speed but are tied with Trike for being the most powerful survival playable overall, and are only beaten out by Spino for the title of most powerful carnivore overall. The most terrifying thing about them is their ambush speed, (when you crouch as carnivore, wait for the speed icon to appear next to your stamina footprint, and run. The exception is Carno which doesn't have an ambush, but it's fast enough to not need one) which isn't all that fast but highly explosive. That combined with their ability to break your leg on bites makes them a quality ambush playable, only beaten out by Acro as best ambusher overall. And yes, they were adults, meaning there is no way they had freshly spawned. What they were eating is far too big to be a baby, too. You heard friendly calls from them at 1:00, although almost certainly not directed at you. Should've mentioned this a long time ago, but if you go into your options theres an ability to give yourself a 'Static HUD', which is basically where your icons stay on your screen and don't disappear. It's very useful for keeping track of hunger, thirst and stamina regen. 0:52 Sucho roar. Slow on land, slower then even Tyranno and just faster then Giga. But they have amazing stamina while in the water, and are the most powerful non-apex survival playable in the game. They actually get outswam while in the water by Giga surprisingly enough. A lot of servers have rules that disallow players from killing them while they're swimming or otherwise in the water, which protects them. 1:06 Dryo, fully grown by the looks of its speed. Fast and has stains for days: it can also burrow into the ground which is mostly useless. Easy prey for Utahs, but make up for it with a growth time that clocks in at half an hour. 1:19 Cargo. Has Utahs from time to time, but not nearly to the extend Port does. It has a back alley between its outer walls and the building itself, and the walls give cover for anything behind there. For this reason, its the best place in the map for an ambushing Tyranno. 1:57 Basically an admin grew you to 100% Juvi, and you could progress to adult from that point on. Not something you wanna throw away. 2:12 Trike. Slowest survival animal in the game, but highly powerful. Has two attacks, a stomp and a gore, but it can't stomp without stamina or with a broken leg. If it lands the stomp on a Tyranno, it wins the fight. If it doesn't and it gets its leg broken, it loses. Trike turns with its walk far faster then with its alt turn: you *NEVER* want to alt turn with a Trike unless you're on the edge of a cliff or stuck. Against a Spino, Trike loses no matter what it does, and it beats the shit out of a Giga. 3:07 Carno, fully grown. The second worst survival playable after Pachy. Fastest survival animal but can't turn while running for the life of it: the best Carno players can only hunt a Dilo, Pachy or bad Cerato alone. The only reason they aren't the worst survival playable is because they never have to get into a fight they don't want, and they become MUCH more viable in packs. A good Cerato player can outright dodge a Carno charge and make a returning hit. Cerato does more upfront damage with its bites but Carno does more bleed. 3:36 Juvi Utah. The weakest and slowest Juvi, its literally useless in every way. A threat to nothing but a Hatchling. Surprisingly there was no sound before that but your own characters breathing. 4:04 Velo. another AI. As always, it means there's some hungry carnivore in your area. Possibly you. No AI actually acts like that though: Thats a player as a Velo. If you're struggling to eat, just alt turn around. It will usually get you into position where E will allow you to eat. That also goes for something biting your tail that you can easily kill: depending on your turn radius, either alt turn around or Z turn. Everybody was probably at the bigger lake, as they usually are. Even with that its highly dangerous to go to any Twins. Avoid it as much as you can, even as a carnivore. 13:09 Ava call. 15:20 Multiple, but there's a lot of inaccuracies just because there are bits like speed and things in the insert screen, but the speed is frequently wrong. An example: -Allo is classed at 34KM and Tyranno is classed at 33KM. Despite this, Tyranno is faster then Allo at base speed, albeit barely. Another example: Austro is faster then Carno despite multiple listings saying otherwise. Trust your own experiences and judgement over what stat lists say, even if they're stat lists in-game. (ESPECIALLY if they're stat lists in-game) Deathmatches are good for that, just go on and ask for people to fight you and various things. (or just pick random fights) Too Many Birds is by far the best DM server, but any other will do; just avoid any that have alt turn disabled like Nycta, because it doesn't give an accurate picture. 17:20 Be careful accepting group invites, a lot of people form a pack, invite random players, and use that to get their location and kill them. Usually it's a good idea to avoid accepting invites from people you dont know in any capacity. 19:10 You can only leave a group by either logging out of the game or dying. Its likely they did an oof. 21:08 You have an outdated map, I noticed a couple locations currently in the game that arent featured on there. An up to date map should have pride rock situated below Twins. 25:50 You need to swim to get past it, but past the fence is Archapelago, which has no spawns, no water past it, no plants, but plenty of AI. Nobody goes there much either, so if you found a place that lets you go between Archapelago and a source of water quickly, you could stick around there forever as a carnivore (although that's boring) 26:20 Hit bracket, any bracket. It'll revert you back to Local or Grouo, neither of which is used often. Cerato is really a mediocre choice, its not slow by any means and it has a strong attack, but everything it does Allo does better. (Cerato is faster over short distances but that's about it) If you want something to the feel of Cerato but more fine-tuned, Allo is your pick.

There are Tier Rankings listed on The Isle's discord page. As for actual stats, I don't remember off hand. For sprinting speed, Carnos are the fastest carnivore, then Utahs (I believe). Ceratos are maybe just a hair faster than Allos. Sub-adult Rexes and Allos are fairly well matched in speed.
The choice of the Dinosaur depends on the person and their method of playing, each dinosaur is somehow different and is chosen by the style of play of each person, then that choice is personal, it is also important to know that if the dinosaur that visually you like it is not exactly the best for your way of playing . **In this video; For me, the Ceratosaurus is better than Allosaurus and Carnotaurus, because Allosaurus and Carnotaurus have a problem in their hitbox, I consider that Ceratosaurus is more balanced.** I select greenish colors in the skin pattern, the objective is that my dinosaur is the most camouflaged to be less detectable, since in my opinion in this game the dinosaur is not selected to be the most beautiful visually as for placing it on a catwalk (although some colors could be selected to give that personal style pleasing to the player), but the most effective and stealthy, is a game to live like a Dinosaur and survive through a pattern of decisions similar to an animal. All dinosaurs have their pros and cons (Some more than others). Pls, let me know what your playing method is and I can suggest a dinosaur for your play style. As a tip ... On sandbox servers, you can hone your hunting and fighting skills more frequently without fear of losing your progress, you can become familiar with the controls to be able to make combinations in a fight, and thus choose the dinosaur that is most comfortable for you, the fight is important in the game, it is good to have it dominated... I know they exist, but I can't remember where to find them other than a channel called "useful-ingame-information" in the Isla Nublar discord server! I don't play that server anymore, but I stayed in the discord just to keep that info on hand. It includes a ton of useful info, more than what you originally asked for. like a spreadsheet of the dinosaur calls, speeds, damage and bleed graphs, and the map. Not sure if I can post the server link here but if I can, I'll give it to you. Also don't forget to z turn as a cera, it has the most op turn speed! It's a cera thing. Their z turn basically lets you turn in place, quickly, like during a fight
It's interesting to watch new player playing The Isle. You're basically me about 3-4 months ago xD. So dont worry, you'll hopefully learn places and sounds and all that pretty quick❣️ Oh and the little thing that followed you at the beginning was a velociraptor and it is ai. dangerous to little juvenile dinos because it attacks them. And you can get the chat and the stats away pressing F10 if I remeber correctly. You get them back pressing F10 again. Also you can put the chat on local because other peoples messages dont show there unless they are same species as you and if they are close to you. But yeah good luck with the game in the future!!
The carnotaurus can’t get ambush speed ( when it’s juvi he can) he has a the worst turn radius of all the dinosaurs and he is the fastest survival carnivore I think The cerato has the best turn radius of all the dinosaurs and you can ass ride to death pretty much everything

Veradaux I mean yeah but you need to have some experience to use the car I at maximum It ideas that really weird thing where he needs to walk and then Sprint so you are very vulnerable to ambush and it doesn’t stop instantly I love the car I but it’s a very weird Dino to play
Hint: Now you may have started to get used to them already, but try looking up a video of dinosaurs of the isle by name, and one that cycles through each of their calls! This helped me A LOT in identifying what I was hearing without making the mistake of getting too close to investigate. Especially as a herbivore, since you will be in a herd of many creatures that all can sound very different. Unlike carnivores, which if its not your species, you're probably screwed.
What can kill you as an adult Cerato? Carnivore-wise; Adult Allos, Rexes, Gigas, Carnos, Acros, Dilos, Subadult Rexes, Utah packs. And it mostly comes down to who can land the most blows before you or they bleed out or die from most base damage?
Shoot me for it but I don’t want humans in the isle. At minimum some peeps with guns but none of this tribal or cannibal stuff they’re thinking about Keep the vids coming! You might have a new subscriber! Love this
Don't know if someone told you, but someone made a The Isle Tier list for all the dinosaurs, where they go into pros and cons for all the dinosaurs. Also in-game you can click insert to find out your speed and your bite force. I'm new to the game myself, but bite force is somehow linked with your weight. So bigger = better?
Don't say you suck because when i first played as a carnivore one year ago. I also couldn't even kill a taco because i couldn't land any of my hits. As an (Adult) cerato here are the things that can kill you: all Apexes, Adult Allo, Adult Carno (you have a large advantage in damage), Pack of Utahs, Pack of Carnos (easily), Other Ceratos (2 or more) and all herbivores Maiasaurus and larger. I know im so late to comment and you probably wont read this but oh well.
When an admin forces your character growth, you lose all your food and water, so the devs made it an automatic thing that you are healed when you are forced to grow.
Watch Ravenous's youtube videos after Stage 2 ... they talk all about the recode and the humans. Devs confirmed Admins will have full control of their servers, meaning some servers will not have humans and some might be all humans etc
There are videos that show side by side speed comparisons of various dinos. There are videos with only survival dinos and videos that also include dinosaurs offered only in sandbox. Should you look up a video like this make sure it’s a recent one, as Dino speeds get tweaked. The cerato and pachy should look like the ones you’ve played, as the cerato got a new run animation and the pachy got a new model it’s a good indicator of how new the video is. Also bite for bite an adult carno vs adult cerato the carno would win, however the cerato can win if it gets extra bites on the carno. Cerato has the worst bleed resistance in the game currently, however it will get improved when the recode comes out. Six bites from a utahraptor or two bites from a Dilophosaurus can cause you to bleed out. Also there are virtual maps that will show your location on it if you input your coordinates from the insert menu. Hovering over your coordinates you can click and copy them and then paste them into the map to show your position. When you were at the radio tower and said you heard something that sounds like a Rex, that was a giga, which is not as fast but just as dangerous as a rex. Also if you walk on the pipes you will get stuck there as there is no safe way to get off them. Keep in mind that you are not at your maximum stats immediately after growing. You do not have the maximum amount of health and do not do maximum damage so it is wise to stay away from other dinos until you’ve grown a little bit. The T-Rex broadcast basically sounds like someone sitting on the keys to a church organ. The carno broadcast is long, drawn out, and kinda sounds like a French horn on steroids. The Dino that was hanging out under you was a velociraptor. I believe it may have been trying to attack you, however since you were a maximum growth juvenile it didn’t bite, but still followed you. Another thing is Carnotaurus does not get a speed boost if it crouches since it is already the fastest survival dinosaur. Two legged herbivores also do not get speed boosts from crouching.
As cerato you can kill raptors, your z turn is op, if you manage to learn it you can even 1vs 1 an allo. Also check wiki to know stats, speed etc. You can also watch tier lists on YT
@@kacperr9924 if the allo doesn't know where the cera is, of course the cera wins but that's not what i call a fight, the allo can do the same thing and the cera will bleed out
@@orion5828 I never called it a fight tho, also cera can do this in a face to face fight too, just facetank first bite and quickly turn around, then just ride.
@@kacperr9924 i said earlier that cera can't 1v1 a smart allo and it is true, in a 1v1 face to face, the allo has to stay in ambush and get near the cera, after getting near the cera, bite and run, after getting some distance repeat this one more time and the cera will bleed out

The trike as far as I know is really strong, it's just the fact that it's so slow that basically anything can outmaneuver it to some degree and severely wound it before it can dish out some damage. But I agree with you. For the time it takes to grow it, the Triceratops may be a bit underwhelming.
I'd definitely call ceratosaurus' turn much better than decent, his walking turn is almost as sharp as an alt turn as well. A good utah can take out many things larger than itself, i'd say his slow heal is his greatest con, same with gallimimus (about the healing). Trike's biggest downfall is any adult apex that knows what it's doing as a giga can take a few hits from trike to apply bleed and then use his superior bleed res and speed to wait out the trike, rex can pretty much facetank it. Trike is also one of the most miserable dinos to grow, you can't run away from anything so you're dead meat if you're spotted by most of the carni roster
@@somerandomperson6511 Thanks for the clarifications, and yes, I do agree, the Trike is a really difficult dino to grow and play as in general. Kinda makes Ankylosaurus have all the more reason to not be called a "bad animal". I mean seriously.
@@somerandomperson6511 I've painstakingly grown a trike but after some test runs on a death match server, I feel like it will all soon be rendered a waste of time... a rex just walks up to you, breaks your leg on the first or second bite leaving you unable to stomp and then just keeps biting until you die. The end. Not exactly fair considering they take as long to grow

if you go on a no-alt turn server a cerato can kill a full grown rex pretty easily lol, you just gotta know how to dodge their backwards hitbox. Not sure about guides but you can see all the dino stats for hp, speed, stamina duration and regeneration, health, damage and stuff as well as grow times on the isle wiki isle.fandom.com/wiki/Ceratosaurus Apparently server owners will be able to toggle whether they want to allow humans in their server or not, same probably goes for strains and other stuff that diverts away from normal dinosaur stuff. They're also going to add mutant orcilike human tribals. Maybe a fun way to try all the dinos is to play as what ever kills you for each dino, unless you die some other way lmao.
The dino you are [Cera is it's nickname] is very fast and agile you can basically kill anything smaller than you/the same size in a 1v1 e.g utahraptor but with the utah there is no pointin running away as a cera as they,re faster. Usually with these servers once a body drops [someone dies] the fight ends so take that opportunity to run or stay and claim the body. The carno you saw you could've taken on as they are not agile at all and aslong as you bite its tail/back legs it can't get you and they do low damage but they are much faster than you. All servers with realism/semi-realism in the name have a rule against grouping with someone and killing them in fact most servers do so you should probably head towards your group as its safer in numbers and to get rid of the chat just change it to local as usually no one talks in there. If you see this i hop it was helpful :)

It might seem like a good idea, and it might seem like it will make things easier, but in practice, unless you break out the flash cards and study for like two hours, your liable to have an admin kill your dinosaur because you violated Rule #33, Section 2b, part III, or something similar, which is twice as devastating if you're trying to make a video and suddenly you get cut off from your content. If a server advertises itself as high AI, you're being lied to. There's currently no way to change AI Spawn rates. Also, I'd suggest to play on servers with alt-turn enabled. Alt-turn allows you to stop moving, and turn in place. It exists so that big dinos can't get killed by something dumb like a single raptor. With alt turn disabled, something like a raptor can just stay on your ass, biting you, and out turning you until you die. You can't run away because the raptor is faster than you. Although, I did livestream from different servers last saturday and I did feel like there was a lot less AI on those servers than I am now used to on Primeval, but I guess I was just having bad luck, if that's not something that can be changed from one server to the next. Maybe we'll run into each other one day! What server do you usually play on?

@@EvolutionSquare The thing to note about AI spawns is that there is set number AI per server. The more players there are on a server, naturally the less likely AI would spawn on you. Likewise, if you were on a low pop server, you'd get more AI spawns. Another thing, some players think there are AI Hotspots, but there aren't. I don't even think there are set spawns at all, since I've been having them appear stuck inside cliff faces. I like to play official, which means I miss out on non-survival dinosaurs, but the rules there are very minimal, and very simple. Same goes for the players, very simple. Don't trust anyone. Oh, and I forgot to mention; If you want to get the chat out of the way, the easiest way to do so is to swap from global to local/group if global is enabled. If global is disabled, swap to global, because nothing will ever be sent there. Also, glad you've already seen Scanova's video. Very nice information to have, especially when you first step into the game.

Sitting out in the open by a carcass until it despawns, while you're getting dehydrated, is not what a real dinosaur would do.
A specific max pack, including all kinds of exceptions when it comes to juvies, subadults and high tier dinosaurs changing the limits of a mixed herd, is not what a real dinosaur would do.
A lot of dinosaurs were probably territorial, just as modern day animal, but but but you can't be territorial on The Isle.
Oh and how about this one: "If a dino gets too close for comfort, you have to 3-call first to let the dino know they are too close for comfort, if the dino does not respond with a 4-call, within 20 seconds, you may attack". So if I'm hiding in a bush from a large carnivore, I have to call out first, giving away my location, technically. And then I gotta remember to count to 20 mississippi's. I don't think a real dinosaur would have done that...
This another funny one: Suchomimus, Spinosaurus and Baryonyx are allowed to sit in the water, unless another dinosaur 3-calls, then they have to get out".
In any case, the list goes on and on and I don't even think this server I was on was one of the worst in terms of rules.
Sure, you'll remember after playing on a server for several times, but the first couple of times, you can't be expected to know all of it. And then you have to consider that different servers have different rules, so if you switch from one to another, it's likely you're going to get some of the rules mixed up. On another server, you might have to count for 25 mississippi's for example...

Not sure if anyone has covered hiding the chat yet, but here's a couple of helpful tips anyway.
- F10 will hide the entire HUD, great for screenshots, not so great for general gameplay, just press again to make it return. It makes a sound, don't be alarmed.
- As for just general gameplay, Settings -> Gameplay -> Untick the Chat HUD. It will auto-hide the chat but will reappear whenever you get a message. Just use your chat switch keys to switch to group or local so it doesn't reappear every time someone types in global. If you interact with the chat (switching between them or writing a message) it will pop back up temporarily.
Wow, this gameplay was me when the game came out. Beautiful and painful memories lol. And when the game will update soon, called “Evrima” or ”recode”, I will be that person again lol. Keep up the good work.
If you see ”someone” has forced your growth and healed you, it’s an admin. Admin can make someone grow using admin commands, so if you do see that someone has, press esc and hit grow.
You can make chat disappear by pressing the brackets ( [ or ] ) to switch between chat channels. If you aren't in a group I'd go to group, or you could go to Local, which is a proximity chat that works only for the same species ^^
Just a little tip about the ceratosaurs: It has a really good turn radius and a very useful trot (by pressing Z) and it can outrun most of its predators.

0:27 Tyrannos. Shitty stamina and mediocre run speed but are tied with Trike for being the most powerful survival playable overall, and are only beaten out by Spino for the title of most powerful carnivore overall. The most terrifying thing about them is their ambush speed, (when you crouch as carnivore, wait for the speed icon to appear next to your stamina footprint, and run. The exception is Carno which doesn't have an ambush, but it's fast enough to not need one) which isn't all that fast but highly explosive. That combined with their ability to break your leg on bites makes them a quality ambush playable, only beaten out by Acro as best ambusher overall. And yes, they were adults, meaning there is no way they had freshly spawned. What they were eating is far too big to be a baby, too. You heard friendly calls from them at 1:00, although almost certainly not directed at you.
Should've mentioned this a long time ago, but if you go into your options theres an ability to give yourself a 'Static HUD', which is basically where your icons stay on your screen and don't disappear. It's very useful for keeping track of hunger, thirst and stamina regen.
0:52 Sucho roar. Slow on land, slower then even Tyranno and just faster then Giga. But they have amazing stamina while in the water, and are the most powerful non-apex survival playable in the game. They actually get outswam while in the water by Giga surprisingly enough. A lot of servers have rules that disallow players from killing them while they're swimming or otherwise in the water, which protects them.
1:06 Dryo, fully grown by the looks of its speed. Fast and has stains for days: it can also burrow into the ground which is mostly useless. Easy prey for Utahs, but make up for it with a growth time that clocks in at half an hour.
1:19 Cargo. Has Utahs from time to time, but not nearly to the extend Port does. It has a back alley between its outer walls and the building itself, and the walls give cover for anything behind there. For this reason, its the best place in the map for an ambushing Tyranno.
1:57 Basically an admin grew you to 100% Juvi, and you could progress to adult from that point on. Not something you wanna throw away.
2:12 Trike. Slowest survival animal in the game, but highly powerful. Has two attacks, a stomp and a gore, but it can't stomp without stamina or with a broken leg. If it lands the stomp on a Tyranno, it wins the fight. If it doesn't and it gets its leg broken, it loses. Trike turns with its walk far faster then with its alt turn: you *NEVER* want to alt turn with a Trike unless you're on the edge of a cliff or stuck. Against a Spino, Trike loses no matter what it does, and it beats the shit out of a Giga.
3:07 Carno, fully grown. The second worst survival playable after Pachy. Fastest survival animal but can't turn while running for the life of it: the best Carno players can only hunt a Dilo, Pachy or bad Cerato alone. The only reason they aren't the worst survival playable is because they never have to get into a fight they don't want, and they become MUCH more viable in packs. A good Cerato player can outright dodge a Carno charge and make a returning hit. Cerato does more upfront damage with its bites but Carno does more bleed.
3:36 Juvi Utah. The weakest and slowest Juvi, its literally useless in every way. A threat to nothing but a Hatchling. Surprisingly there was no sound before that but your own characters breathing.
4:04 Velo. another AI. As always, it means there's some hungry carnivore in your area. Possibly you. No AI actually acts like that though: Thats a player as a Velo.
If you're struggling to eat, just alt turn around. It will usually get you into position where E will allow you to eat. That also goes for something biting your tail that you can easily kill: depending on your turn radius, either alt turn around or Z turn.
Everybody was probably at the bigger lake, as they usually are. Even with that its highly dangerous to go to any Twins. Avoid it as much as you can, even as a carnivore.
13:09 Ava call.
15:20 Multiple, but there's a lot of inaccuracies just because there are bits like speed and things in the insert screen, but the speed is frequently wrong. An example:
-Allo is classed at 34KM and Tyranno is classed at 33KM. Despite this, Tyranno is faster then Allo at base speed, albeit barely. Another example: Austro is faster then Carno despite multiple listings saying otherwise. Trust your own experiences and judgement over what stat lists say, even if they're stat lists in-game. (ESPECIALLY if they're stat lists in-game) Deathmatches are good for that, just go on and ask for people to fight you and various things. (or just pick random fights) Too Many Birds is by far the best DM server, but any other will do; just avoid any that have alt turn disabled like Nycta, because it doesn't give an accurate picture.
17:20 Be careful accepting group invites, a lot of people form a pack, invite random players, and use that to get their location and kill them. Usually it's a good idea to avoid accepting invites from people you dont know in any capacity.
19:10 You can only leave a group by either logging out of the game or dying. Its likely they did an oof.
21:08 You have an outdated map, I noticed a couple locations currently in the game that arent featured on there. An up to date map should have pride rock situated below Twins.
25:50 You need to swim to get past it, but past the fence is Archapelago, which has no spawns, no water past it, no plants, but plenty of AI. Nobody goes there much either, so if you found a place that lets you go between Archapelago and a source of water quickly, you could stick around there forever as a carnivore (although that's boring)
26:20 Hit bracket, any bracket. It'll revert you back to Local or Grouo, neither of which is used often.
Cerato is really a mediocre choice, its not slow by any means and it has a strong attack, but everything it does Allo does better. (Cerato is faster over short distances but that's about it) If you want something to the feel of Cerato but more fine-tuned, Allo is your pick.

As for actual stats, I don't remember off hand.
For sprinting speed, Carnos are the fastest carnivore, then Utahs (I believe). Ceratos are maybe just a hair faster than Allos. Sub-adult Rexes and Allos are fairly well matched in speed.
Carno is indeed the fastest survival dino, the faster in the game would be the herrera

The choice of the Dinosaur depends on the person and their method of playing, each dinosaur is somehow different and is chosen by the style of play of each person, then that choice is personal, it is also important to know that if the dinosaur that visually you like it is not exactly the best for your way of playing

I select greenish colors in the skin pattern, the objective is that my dinosaur is the most camouflaged to be less detectable, since in my opinion in this game the dinosaur is not selected to be the most beautiful visually as for placing it on a catwalk (although some colors could be selected to give that personal style pleasing to the player), but the most effective and stealthy, is a game to live like a Dinosaur and survive through a pattern of decisions similar to an animal.
All dinosaurs have their pros and cons (Some more than others). Pls, let me know what your playing method is and I can suggest a dinosaur for your play style.
As a tip ...
On sandbox servers, you can hone your hunting and fighting skills more frequently without fear of losing your progress,
you can become familiar with the controls to be able to make combinations in a fight, and thus choose the dinosaur that is most comfortable for you, the fight is important in the game, it is good to have it dominated... Cheers 0/

I don't play that server anymore, but I stayed in the discord just to keep that info on hand. It includes a ton of useful info, more than what you originally asked for. like a spreadsheet of the dinosaur calls, speeds, damage and bleed graphs, and the map.

Also don't forget to z turn as a cera, it has the most op turn speed! It's a cera thing. Their z turn basically lets you turn in place, quickly, like during a fight

It's interesting to watch new player playing The Isle. You're basically me about 3-4 months ago xD. So dont worry, you'll hopefully learn places and sounds and all that pretty quick❣️ Oh and the little thing that followed you at the beginning was a velociraptor and it is ai. dangerous to little juvenile dinos because it attacks them. And you can get the chat and the stats away pressing F10 if I remeber correctly. You get them back pressing F10 again. Also you can put the chat on local because other peoples messages dont show there unless they are same species as you and if they are close to you. But yeah good luck with the game in the future!!

Hint: Now you may have started to get used to them already, but try looking up a video of dinosaurs of the isle by name, and one that cycles through each of their calls! This helped me A LOT in identifying what I was hearing without making the mistake of getting too close to investigate. Especially as a herbivore, since you will be in a herd of many creatures that all can sound very different. Unlike carnivores, which if its not your species, you're probably screwed.

Don't know if someone told you, but someone made a The Isle Tier list for all the dinosaurs, where they go into pros and cons for all the dinosaurs. Also in-game you can click insert to find out your speed and your bite force. I'm new to the game myself, but bite force is somehow linked with your weight. So bigger = better?
Don't say you suck because when i first played as a carnivore one year ago. I also couldn't even kill a taco because i couldn't land any of my hits. As an (Adult) cerato here are the things that can kill you: all Apexes, Adult Allo, Adult Carno (you have a large advantage in damage), Pack of Utahs, Pack of Carnos (easily), Other Ceratos (2 or more) and all herbivores Maiasaurus and larger. I know im so late to comment and you probably wont read this but oh well.

When an admin forces your character growth, you lose all your food and water, so the devs made it an automatic thing that you are healed when you are forced to grow.

Watch Ravenous's youtube videos after Stage 2 ... they talk all about the recode and the humans. Devs confirmed Admins will have full control of their servers, meaning some servers will not have humans and some might be all humans etc
There are videos that show side by side speed comparisons of various dinos. There are videos with only survival dinos and videos that also include dinosaurs offered only in sandbox. Should you look up a video like this make sure it’s a recent one, as Dino speeds get tweaked. The cerato and pachy should look like the ones you’ve played, as the cerato got a new run animation and the pachy got a new model it’s a good indicator of how new the video is.
Also bite for bite an adult carno vs adult cerato the carno would win, however the cerato can win if it gets extra bites on the carno. Cerato has the worst bleed resistance in the game currently, however it will get improved when the recode comes out. Six bites from a utahraptor or two bites from a Dilophosaurus can cause you to bleed out.
Also there are virtual maps that will show your location on it if you input your coordinates from the insert menu. Hovering over your coordinates you can click and copy them and then paste them into the map to show your position.
When you were at the radio tower and said you heard something that sounds like a Rex, that was a giga, which is not as fast but just as dangerous as a rex.
Also if you walk on the pipes you will get stuck there as there is no safe way to get off them.
Keep in mind that you are not at your maximum stats immediately after growing. You do not have the maximum amount of health and do not do maximum damage so it is wise to stay away from other dinos until you’ve grown a little bit.
The T-Rex broadcast basically sounds like someone sitting on the keys to a church organ. The carno broadcast is long, drawn out, and kinda sounds like a French horn on steroids.
The Dino that was hanging out under you was a velociraptor. I believe it may have been trying to attack you, however since you were a maximum growth juvenile it didn’t bite, but still followed you.
Another thing is Carnotaurus does not get a speed boost if it crouches since it is already the fastest survival dinosaur. Two legged herbivores also do not get speed boosts from crouching.
As cerato you can kill raptors, your z turn is op, if you manage to learn it you can even 1vs 1 an allo. Also check wiki to know stats, speed etc. You can also watch tier lists on YT

*Allosaurus*
Strengths: Decent damage, stamina, speed, basically decently good at everything
Weaknesses: Not really special in any way. Also apexes.
*Carnotaurus*
Strengths: I am speed
Weaknesses: Turns like a cruise ship
*Ceratosaurus*
Strengths: Decent alt turn
Weaknesses: Basically a wimp version of the Allosaurus, also abysmal bleed resistance.
*Diabloceratops*
Strengths: Very fast and strong for a Ceratopsian (often underestimated by carnivores), very high stamina
Weaknesses: Apexes
*Dilophosaurus*
Strengths: Best night vision in the game, as well as highest bleed damage
Weaknesses: Not very fast and low base bite damage
*Dryosaurus*

The trike as far as I know is really strong, it's just the fact that it's so slow that basically anything can outmaneuver it to some degree and severely wound it before it can dish out some damage. But I agree with you. For the time it takes to grow it, the Triceratops may be a bit underwhelming.
I'd definitely call ceratosaurus' turn much better than decent, his walking turn is almost as sharp as an alt turn as well. A good utah can take out many things larger than itself, i'd say his slow heal is his greatest con, same with gallimimus (about the healing). Trike's biggest downfall is any adult apex that knows what it's doing as a giga can take a few hits from trike to apply bleed and then use his superior bleed res and speed to wait out the trike, rex can pretty much facetank it. Trike is also one of the most miserable dinos to grow, you can't run away from anything so you're dead meat if you're spotted by most of the carni roster

Thanks for the clarifications, and yes, I do agree, the Trike is a really difficult dino to grow and play as in general. Kinda makes Ankylosaurus have all the more reason to not be called a "bad animal". I mean seriously.
@@somerandomperson6511 I've painstakingly grown a trike but after some test runs on a death match server, I feel like it will all soon be rendered a waste of time... a rex just walks up to you, breaks your leg on the first or second bite leaving you unable to stomp and then just keeps biting until you die. The end. Not exactly fair considering they take as long to grow

Love watching you get acquainted with the game! Try dilo, best night vision in the game and my personal favorite. I'm sure someone has already shared these with you, but if not please check out the interactive maps (vulnona.com/game/the_isle/map_en.html) that you can put your coordinates into and the sound database (vulnona.com/game/the_isle/se/) which is super helpful when trying to figure out what's around you.
if you go on a no-alt turn server a cerato can kill a full grown rex pretty easily lol, you just gotta know how to dodge their backwards hitbox. Not sure about guides but you can see all the dino stats for hp, speed, stamina duration and regeneration, health, damage and stuff as well as grow times on the isle wiki

Apparently server owners will be able to toggle whether they want to allow humans in their server or not, same probably goes for strains and other stuff that diverts away from normal dinosaur stuff. They're also going to add mutant orcilike human tribals.
Maybe a fun way to try all the dinos is to play as what ever kills you for each dino, unless you die some other way lmao.

The dino you are [Cera is it's nickname] is very fast and agile you can basically kill anything smaller than you/the same size in a 1v1 e.g utahraptor but with the utah there is no pointin running away as a cera as they,re faster. Usually with these servers once a body drops [someone dies] the fight ends so take that opportunity to run or stay and claim the body. The carno you saw you could've taken on as they are not agile at all and aslong as you bite its tail/back legs it can't get you and they do low damage but they are much faster than you. All servers with realism/semi-realism in the name have a rule against grouping with someone and killing them in fact most servers do so you should probably head towards your group as its safer in numbers and to get rid of the chat just change it to local as usually no one talks in there. If you see this i hop it was helpful :)

Are you going to post the various controls, that are not listed on the control setup screen? I still don't know how you even got the chat window up. You complained you could not figure out how to do it, then later, you suddenly could. You NEVER said what you did!
hi there, since I am very new to this game, I'm not really the person to talks about tips/instructions for the game. And I didn't really expect anybody else watching not to know the controls, since the game has been around so long. I knew how to access the chat, it's by ENTER, I didn't know how to exit the chat, which was my question.
If you scroll through the comment sections of my The Isle videos, there are a lot of helpful suggestions from viewers that might be of use to you as well.

Cerato is saddly the weakest carno..Dilos are very good, Uthas and Apex Carnis (Rex Giga but they took hell of long time to grow)

His tier-list goes into extreme depth as to why he ranked certain dinosaurs where he did. One of the best, and most concise sources of information you can get your hands on in regard to the current state of balance.
A couple pieces of advice: Steer clear of rules servers. It might seem like a good idea, and it might seem like it will make things easier, but in practice, unless you break out the flash cards and study for like two hours, your liable to have an admin kill your dinosaur because you violated Rule #33, Section 2b, part III, or something similar, which is twice as devastating if you're trying to make a video and suddenly you get cut off from your content. If a server advertises itself as high AI, you're being lied to. There's currently no way to change AI Spawn rates. Also, I'd suggest to play on servers with alt-turn enabled. Alt-turn allows you to stop moving, and turn in place. It exists so that big dinos can't get killed by something dumb like a single raptor. With alt turn disabled, something like a raptor can just stay on your ass, biting you, and out turning you until you die. You can't run away because the raptor is faster than you. If you have any questions, or would like to run with me in-game, feel free to ask away.

The primeval server has definitely been lying to me if that's the case. Although, I did livestream from different servers last saturday and I did feel like there was a lot less AI on those servers than I am now used to on Primeval, but I guess I was just having bad luck, if that's not something that can be changed from one server to the next.

ha, what a coincidence, turns out I'd already found that tier video you suggested :D Just went over the link, thought the narrator sounder familiar, scrolled down and saw a comment from myself haha. I enjoyed the video a lot though, so it was still a good recommendation ;)
@@EvolutionSquare The thing to note about AI spawns is that there is set number AI per server. The more players there are on a server, naturally the less likely AI would spawn on you. Likewise, if you were on a low pop server, you'd get more AI spawns. Another thing, some players think there are AI Hotspots, but there aren't. I don't even think there are set spawns at all, since I've been having them appear stuck inside cliff faces. I like to play official, which means I miss out on non-survival dinosaurs, but the rules there are very minimal, and very simple. Same goes for the players, very simple. Don't trust anyone.
Oh, and I forgot to mention; If you want to get the chat out of the way, the easiest way to do so is to swap from global to local/group if global is enabled. If global is disabled, swap to global, because nothing will ever be sent there.
Also, glad you've already seen Scanova's video. Very nice information to have, especially when you first step into the game.
