Why am I watching this i know every dino, sound, every stats, every map, how to fight, bugs, keys and everything about the game and I play this for 4 years
I literally bought The Isle yesterday and this video helped me out a lot! I knew some basic controls beforehand but I didn’t know how to crouch or sit down. I was also completely oblivious to the damage multiplier depending on velocity. This video was a big help!
When it comes to camouflaging, I once had a very camouflaged sub rex that was so well hidden that a full grown giga went straight past me. It was looking for me as I was crouching with some large leaves at some river. I got to grow my rex later on the day as the giga had gone far away from the river. (The river was in some ravine)
And completely dark skin makes you almost invisible to night vision (except the eyes of course), on the other hand really dark colours make you pop like sore thumb in daylight, against the light colored vegetation, it's a compromise
You did say something in correctly: no matter what, if you have ambush speed and you are holding shift, even after you stop moving, you will keep ambush speed
Really good Video to help beginners get into the games mechanics. One piece of advice I want to give you is that recording the Video and Audio separately makes it easier to watch. This way you can still cut out the parts where you are trying to find words but the Video won't be so jumpy.
Tip if you have a broken leg: If you see people near you but they arent a threat yet dont stand up. If you're sitting they cant tell you have a broken leg. If you stand they will see your break and most likely attack you as you're an easy target

Bite is all the same key for carnivore. For herbivores some have multiple attacks, trike and shants stomps are m1, also theri has multiple attacks and when running the attacks change, anky and stego attacks are m1 for left attack and m2 for right attack. Attacks for herbis can also change if you are running like with theri. Also no herbivore can walk and sniff, none at all. Though some cant sniff because they are sandbox and not finished like stego, theri, and Alberto. Also not all servers have alt turn so z walking is ideal, especially for utahs. When fighting rexes you also never went to be on their left side, it is very broken.
thanks for making this video, i just got this game 2 days ago and this vid helped me alot with hunting and not being killed, i think camo though is better than you think, my friend went a very dark grey giga and during day time in shadows you can see him but only if your looking, but in night time you cant see him at all not even from 3 feet away, hes managed to sneak past so many enemies or sneak up on them due to being quiet and his colors
the only problems I found with this video is the majority of server condone the logging out when hearing a dino, they may have seen you and started to hunt you, some servers if you log during the hunt it is possible you will be reported so giving the log when you hear a dino close is good but also can get players into trouble which you could have explained along with ALT turn, not all servers have ALT turn
For apex carnivores camo only matters at night. I have a rex color I use that looks exactly like a rock when you have night vision on. I have been running away from dilos while growing a rex and just sat next to some boulders with my head clipping inside and they lost me. Its also good for hunting as a full grown rex at night.

Hah, wish I watched this before my first attempt on the Isle, got my Parasaur to full size, but whilst hiding at night saw a big carnivore crouching towards me, stood up and ran and unfortunately got nipped a few times by his friend - I ran until out of stamina, hid and waited to heal but they found me again, rinse and repeat a few times until they got a bite on me - wish I'd known the logout trick at the time!
Pro tip Press your windows button and type in "Gamma" then hit next I think 3-4 times where u should soon see "adjust gamma" then pop that bad boy to max and ur good to go for the night 👍
i feel there's more to scent than everyone explains. there are strengths of vertical lines on the smell bar some singly and faint some wider and some are grouped, best seen when you look high up with your dino instead of seeing it against the trees and scenery. the strength of waves in it also can help to indicate how close something is, tho it is a bit vague and I think AI does not show up on it
Basically if you wanna live, dont do what you just did in the beginning of the video (i’m talkin bout that 1call you did) and log out as soon as it turns Even slightly dark and come back when its Day. Boom you survive

Thanks friend! So you it will be hard to tell what the dinosaur is just by hearing the footsteps but you can tell it’s relative size by how loud the steps are. When i’m growing alone and hear footsteps I will log and go onto a second account with a small fast dinosaur and scout the area.
@@Queenofdragons6 It is intended to save you before anything actually attacks you. For example if you're growing and you start hearing footsteps coming closer you can quickly logout and be safe. If you actually get bitten it won't help you because Juvies and such usually only take a hit or two to die.
@@davidl2739 But the end result is the same, isn't it? You lose your dinosaur and can't get it back. Doesn't logging out essentially delete your dinosaur?

I’d say keep a healthy amount of stamina so that you have a full amount to escape with. I either put myself in a pine tree or other thick woods, or put myself in the middle of a barren field so I can see far in every direction and have time to run. Best way to figure out where sounds are coming from is to move your mouse when you hear something, that will let you figure out which direction it’s come from.
:( noted! Well the only AI there are in evrima are dryo and fish. Dryo sound is pretty easy to memorize! Everything else will be a player. Try ptera for a bit and get used to calls!
How many hours does it take to go from a Juvenile to an adult for Carnivores? If you log out, that saves your growth progress, so when you log in again, you are the same size?
When you log out it does save your growth progress. Growth time depends on the dinosaur. For example giga is 6.5 total hours, rex 6.3. Dilo is 1.8, raptor 1.5ish? Use the wiki to get more times those are just the ones I know off the top of my head!

I usually just grow and take a nap lol. Mostly do it afk when it comes to apexes. I mean i’ve grown my fair share of gigas and it’s stressful to sit there on edge the whole time XD and it makes it way worse if you die. If you grow it afk carefully it’s not as big of a deal if you die because you were probably doing something else productive in the meantime lol.
Any idea why there is no walking backwards? It would make fighting combat infinitely better especially for the trikes it would also look better. Also if your on a server without alt turning your left waiting on an admin to move you if you come up to a cliff for instance also makes eating and drinking a nightmare because if you don't line up just right your doing figure 8s constantly trying to line up to what your eating alt turn doesn't fix that.
Honestly I have NO clue why they didn’t make it so you can’t walk backwards. It would make sense honestly that you could do it. I agree though, alt turn doesn’t fix how much of a pain it is to line some dinosaurs up with water or food. Even with alt turn you have to wiggle them back around anyways 😂
is this the noobz deathmatch server? and great tips, i just got into the game and never had a full adult cause i always get killed but these tips will help for sure. im .800 in growth and need to be .850 the giga will be my first adult if i can stay alive. was found by a rex family and they protected me till sub adult and i learned the paths they take and it seems to me i see less players since im always following streams and going up mountains vs ponds as you said, and just to make sure i live to be a adult i turned up gamma and i must say... it has increased my survival by a ton... and i heard tons of ppl do it to kill other players...
That is my personal deathmatch server. Glad this helped you though! Congrats on your first adult. Be careful with that gamma thing though.. it’s against the rules on most servers.
Hmm like, in regards to alt turn? If you’re holding alt and a directional key, you’ll be able to move the mouse to change where your dino is face. Same thing if you’re just holding a direction key and moving at the same time, the mouse will move your dino.

So i think that something alot of people need is a tips and tricks vid to Get the know hows on getting out of a tail riding guide as rex or giga for that matter or anything Else with bad turn, what do u think ? when I play apex carnivores, I try and stand out most herbivores see me and run and most other carnivores come to fight which means I have food delivery, sure sometimes I die but most of the time I get free food.
Aaahhhh, so A.I naturally spawn beside you and behind... Love that tip! Also does that mean that If you find an A.I in front of you there is another player?
More than likely. You’ll get used to how close AI that spawn for you are, so typically if you’re approaching an area and hear AI head of you that means another carnivore is in the area!
Once you start losing hunger! The reason I say stay still if you want to find AI is sometimes they don’t call when they spawn in, so you could potentially run away before hearing it. Typically people say ai will spawn around %75 hunger and below. I’ve played around on my own server and with not a lot of people on AI will spawn pretty quickly even while not being that hungry.

The only thing i didnt agree with is the whole safelog thing next to the river..getting ready to cheat any predators of their potential next meal is just bad sportsmanship and on the edge of combat logging
Yeah untill a pack of galli's keeps harrasing you in the growth even tho they don't feed on dinos and you cant do anything about it with their agillity also yesterday i walked my allo like 40 minutes to find a water source but ended up being spotted by 5 adult trikes who chased me down from miles away and killed me for no reason and it happens all the time. I would like if people still respected eachother in games but in reality those days are gone, and most will use all their might to be a dick and love waisting your precious grow hours ;) With this generation ruining someones day seems like a meta and not only in games🤔
In my opinion playing a Rex and growing it isn't hard. Just know how to hunt and find an isolated spot. But the thing I always fail to do is not stay alive as an adult. Cuz my blind confidence tells me to go to twins and then I die.
I'm so Late Cause I bought this 4 days ago- But I keep lmao Cause Last night I evidently Broke my Leg 4 TIMES in a row- Twice as a Dilo cause Me and My dumb self running and falling then as a Allo xD I broke My leg twice in a row as a Allo soon as it healed I broke it and I just died inside xD and Funny thing last night I also became into a rex group, everyone else though I was a Adult, I came out the grass as a hatchling XDD the leader was just “Sammy- Why are you hatchling-? one question is the game only offline? Or if you host a game will there be AI everywhere without actual people being in the servers? (Can you survive if nobody joins your game)
I could’ve sworn I replied to this, sorry! The game is played online. There are many servers run by people who have the means to do so and a few official servers. You are able to host your own server and control whether AI spawns or not in the starting settings, however you will have to do some work to be able to make your hosted server joinable by others. You will be able to survive by yourself on a server you created.
I want the isle so bad, I tried my sisters game to see if it will run on my computer but nah, which I thought so cause it is under minimum requirements. I have been wanting to play this game for about 4 years and then my sister found it and bought it straight away cause she has a computer reee I can't afford a computer as I am not old enough to work and my parents don't work.

Honestly I would build yourself one. Check out PC part picker. That’s where I built mine. They have builds to go off of that fit certain price ranges. I’d go for one of their gaming builds not the streaming/gaming builds. Then put it all together yourself!

You COULD do a laptop. That was my first upgrade, then I built a big boy. If you travel and game a lot i’d say a laptop. If you’re mostly at home then i’d say desktop. If you go to LAN party’s at friends and stuff a lot, you could also do more of a portable desktop.
Push tab and type his name in the search bar or find him from the list. Then push the + sign next to his name, they’ll get a notification and f1 to accept. Be careful of random nest invites though!

It always makes me nervous when I try the “don’t move and it won’t see you” tactic xD it works so often though with good camo.

i also hide in the trees and look down. especially at night so when you look down, your eyes dont glow as much.

If they're playing on immersive servers they'll probably read the rules first lol. This is intended for more cutthroat official game play in mind.

I either put myself in a pine tree or other thick woods, or put myself in the middle of a barren field so I can see far in every direction and have time to run. Best way to figure out where sounds are coming from is to move your mouse when you hear something, that will let you figure out which direction it’s come from.

:( noted! Well the only AI there are in evrima are dryo and fish. Dryo sound is pretty easy to memorize! Everything else will be a player. Try ptera for a bit and get used to calls!

How many hours does it take to go from a Juvenile to an adult for Carnivores? If you log out, that saves your growth progress, so when you log in again, you are the same size?
When you log out it does save your growth progress. Growth time depends on the dinosaur. For example giga is 6.5 total hours, rex 6.3. Dilo is 1.8, raptor 1.5ish? Use the wiki to get more times those are just the ones I know off the top of my head!

I usually just grow and take a nap lol. Mostly do it afk when it comes to apexes. I mean i’ve grown my fair share of gigas and it’s stressful to sit there on edge the whole time XD and it makes it way worse if you die. If you grow it afk carefully it’s not as big of a deal if you die because you were probably doing something else productive in the meantime lol.
I’d also try some smaller dinos! They’re VERY fun. I’d highly suggest Maiasura tbh. They’re op lol.

Any idea why there is no walking backwards? It would make fighting combat infinitely better especially for the trikes it would also look better. Also if your on a server without alt turning your left waiting on an admin to move you if you come up to a cliff for instance also makes eating and drinking a nightmare because if you don't line up just right your doing figure 8s constantly trying to line up to what your eating alt turn doesn't fix that.
Honestly I have NO clue why they didn’t make it so you can’t walk backwards. It would make sense honestly that you could do it. I agree though, alt turn doesn’t fix how much of a pain it is to line some dinosaurs up with water or food. Even with alt turn you have to wiggle them back around anyways 😂

is this the noobz deathmatch server? and great tips, i just got into the game and never had a full adult cause i always get killed but these tips will help for sure. im .800 in growth and need to be .850 the giga will be my first adult if i can stay alive. was found by a rex family and they protected me till sub adult and i learned the paths they take and it seems to me i see less players since im always following streams and going up mountains vs ponds as you said, and just to make sure i live to be a adult i turned up gamma and i must say... it has increased my survival by a ton... and i heard tons of ppl do it to kill other players...
That is my personal deathmatch server. Glad this helped you though! Congrats on your first adult. Be careful with that gamma thing though.. it’s against the rules on most servers.

Hmm like, in regards to alt turn? If you’re holding alt and a directional key, you’ll be able to move the mouse to change where your dino is face. Same thing if you’re just holding a direction key and moving at the same time, the mouse will move your dino.
Sometimes i wish rexs 1 call would be just a few seconds longer cus its epic but its short

Yeah i’d really only played on alt turn servers at that point tbh.
when I play apex carnivores, I try and stand out most herbivores see me and run and most other carnivores come to fight which means I have food delivery, sure sometimes I die but most of the time I get free food.
Aaahhhh, so A.I naturally spawn beside you and behind... Love that tip! Also does that mean that If you find an A.I in front of you there is another player?
More than likely. You’ll get used to how close AI that spawn for you are, so typically if you’re approaching an area and hear AI head of you that means another carnivore is in the area!

Once you start losing hunger! The reason I say stay still if you want to find AI is sometimes they don’t call when they spawn in, so you could potentially run away before hearing it. Typically people say ai will spawn around %75 hunger and below. I’ve played around on my own server and with not a lot of people on AI will spawn pretty quickly even while not being that hungry.

That’s weird... if your compass comes up then your sniff is working. Gotta use your hearing to find food as a carnivore!

The only thing i didnt agree with is the whole safelog thing next to the river..getting ready to cheat any predators of their potential next meal is just bad sportsmanship and on the edge of combat logging

There are servers for this kind of gameplay, but realism/rp servers are where its at for respecting that stuff. As much as I agree with you.
Yeah untill a pack of galli's keeps harrasing you in the growth even tho they don't feed on dinos and you cant do anything about it with their agillity also yesterday i walked my allo like 40 minutes to find a water source but ended up being spotted by 5 adult trikes who chased me down from miles away and killed me for no reason and it happens all the time. I would like if people still respected eachother in games but in reality those days are gone, and most will use all their might to be a dick and love waisting your precious grow hours ;) With this generation ruining someones day seems like a meta and not only in games🤔
In my opinion playing a Rex and growing it isn't hard. Just know how to hunt and find an isolated spot. But the thing I always fail to do is not stay alive as an adult. Cuz my blind confidence tells me to go to twins and then I die.

one question is the game only offline? Or if you host a game will there be AI everywhere without actual people being in the servers? (Can you survive if nobody joins your game)
I could’ve sworn I replied to this, sorry! The game is played online. There are many servers run by people who have the means to do so and a few official servers. You are able to host your own server and control whether AI spawns or not in the starting settings, however you will have to do some work to be able to make your hosted server joinable by others. You will be able to survive by yourself on a server you created.

I want the isle so bad, I tried my sisters game to see if it will run on my computer but nah, which I thought so cause it is under minimum requirements. I have been wanting to play this game for about 4 years and then my sister found it and bought it straight away cause she has a computer reee I can't afford a computer as I am not old enough to work and my parents don't work.

Honestly I would build yourself one. Check out PC part picker. That’s where I built mine. They have builds to go off of that fit certain price ranges. I’d go for one of their gaming builds not the streaming/gaming builds. Then put it all together yourself!

You COULD do a laptop. That was my first upgrade, then I built a big boy. If you travel and game a lot i’d say a laptop. If you’re mostly at home then i’d say desktop. If you go to LAN party’s at friends and stuff a lot, you could also do more of a portable desktop.

Push tab and type his name in the search bar or find him from the list. Then push the + sign next to his name, they’ll get a notification and f1 to accept. Be careful of random nest invites though!
