I've been having a lot of fun with Gotva Prime and its become my new favourite rifle. So I decided to make a small video about it.

The meatiness of this gun is so enjoyable. I don't really mind single-target weapons anymore, they are a lotta fun, especially with punch-through!
I'm also a Gotva Prime enjoyer. Personally I use a Cold Corrosif (or Cold Radiation) build with the Frostbite arcane, used by my Chroma Nourish.
The kick of gotva has a strong reminiscent of aeolak (same gun lol) for me, thats prob why i do like to use aeolak at times.
Gotva prime should be renamed aelok prime
I always enjoy hearing about "off-meta" weapons. Following the meta is what makes Warframe boring to me, I like finding the things that make the game fun.
Exergis
I love the gotva for the amount of build variety you can do with it. The passive paired with the slightly above average crit damage is something I coveted on a weapon to try out stuff out of the ordinary.
And of course lets not forget the sound design on the gun, shooting and reloading alike it just feels like a weapon brought back from an era way before the one our character is in and gives more of a classic assault rifle feeling that this game is lacking quite a bit. Love it
Gotva Prime has a very important factor for high weapon enjoyment: crunch. It's a really crunchy gun. It feels crunchy, it sounds crunchy, the impact sounds are crunchy, it's crunchy. It's a crunch launcher. I love doing random build things with it just because it's so much fun to shoot.
Isn't it technically the Aeolak? It does have less crits but has over double the damage and innate radiation for more gun CO damage. Gotva has a great aesthetic though, but has the same issue as the aeolak where the magazine reloads a few miliseconds before the animation continues, so there is a tiny amount of wasted time where you can't fire even though the weapon is reloaded.
apparently its the uncorrupted version of Aeolak (What some people are saying), I haven't used it yet though cos im too lazy to grind for it atm, but apparently Aeolak is also stronger which sounds interesting.
Yes the Gotva Prime is literally the original version before it got corrupted and turned into the Aeolak. Aeolak also has an alt fire but its one of those alt fires that uses a huge chunk of your magazine so i rarely use that part.
Im sure someone smarter has done the dps calculations to figure out which is better, better damage and innate radiation or chance for super crits. @@NovaUmbral

@@Darthmufin I don't have math, but in my kill testing Aeolak does way better. Shockingly better, like 2x as fast vs. tanky targets with full stacking. It has multipicative GunCO, and can really juice it with 4 innate damage types. (Not counting the altfire).
One small side benefit of Aeolak is its 1m PT, which is just enough to pierce most targets regardless of angle, and sometimes two. Gotva has 0.5, which usually won't even penetrate a Butcher from the side. Although some people don't care about PT, or might always use Shred anyway. Or might be more turned off by Aeolak for not being hitscan.
But when it does allow saving a slot, it's a big perk.
Take this in a SP void extermination with the game music all the way up and the nostalgia will send you 5 years back

Gotva is straight up one of the most fun weapons to use in the game.
For Mr it would be Trumna, Gotva Prime and Corinth Prime. All of them have respectable damage, recoil, magazine (something many weapons don't have or ammo economy is terrible) and just the feel of the weapon overall is just top notch. Really hope DE would focus more on this with new weapons.

There are couple weapons that I like using because of sound and kickback. Corinths sound awesome and they are pretty much only weapons where riven with added recoil makes them feel even better. I also love Baza and its lack of recoil.
I was just thinking yesterday about pyrana primes passive and if it maybe somewhat inspired the idea of incarnon weapons. I’m still a little salty that they never changed the passive so that we could refresh the timer for every kill after activating its passive after all these years
It does refresh after 3 kills though

Late to the party but I love shooting this thing into Zephyr tornadoes. Since it becomes pseudo aoe it procs the gimmick effect for basically every shot. I love that you just build status and crit damage with your typical staples and watch it do mondo damage
Using Gotva on my harrow prime is my favorite, The thing can even go to high lvl content fairly easily
New primes not having a unique trait like the pyrana prime is a huge disappointment I understand they can’t make every prime have a cool unique trait but cmon

the red crit mechanic sound great but its a tad inconsistent to be focused on, so ultimately its only a stable rifle with a very nice niche
which fit nicely into many people’s arsenal choice
Pyrana prime needs a timer buff
And timer on screen.
Or an activation button & ammo pool like the incarnon weapons.

What comes to single target weapons, I think Synapse had highest dps of any weapon for long time. Its likely still close the top in single target dps.
I love using this thing with my zephyr to spread damage across alot of enemies,I love it better on a gas slash build.

As a speedster, I’m a sucker for the Akurius prime; the damage is nice, the SFXs are sweet, plus they just look great
They Nerfed Tonkor and my Synoid Simulor Mirage combo back in the day, and look where we are now, back where we started, or worse hahaha
Tonkor (Kuva version) is now stronger than ever and yet nobody plays it anymore.
for what u talked about at about 1:50 mark insted of incarnons all round how about a mass buffs (based on usage and type of weapon with outliers getting even more buffs) say everything gets like +2 crit chance and +2 status chance and 0.1 crit damage to base and a 15% to 30% damage (not much but might help and say they do that every year for like 1-3 years and all the sudden every weapon is up to snuff or ok at list
It would have to be for the variants of said weapons (Prime Vandal etc) but even then I think having an amount of incarnons maybe twice a year would be better since Incarnons revamp the weapon on a fundamental level with new mechanics from evolution. Or adding more gimmicks to older weapons could work (instead of bandaid augments)
I would love to see Gotva prime incarnon but then I think that would be very overpowered making it the best gun in the game.
I need to test this on Steel Path enemies. I'm thinking amp up the status, multi-shot, and crit damage.

Ngl i running full incarnon loadout on harrow is so fun, braton, lex, and hate are just a blast to mag dump then insta reload to incarnon form for aoe if necessary

It is not, but i guess newbies can see this video and make gotva the weapon which they would use to get through the game until they get curious about other weapons.
the gimmick on gotva looks rlly attractive but its actually lower dps than aeolak and less aoe status viable since its dps is split into more shots & it has no alt fire. they both feel good but i prefer the feel of the aeolak tbh and if i want the high firerate feel ill go for the prisma gorgon or grakata because they literally shoot like miniguns
I haven't used Aeolak so i dunno, but if thats the case then rip, still great gun though I'd say.
Gotva was a BROKEN seeming gun at release, and i was concerned it would be months before anyone else saw it beyond tennocon watchers
To my surprise it came in a couple weeks... but definitely toned down lol

This rifle is the same as others, these redcrits add almost nothing to the damage, and all other points you make could be made for any ather single target weapon.
