Lindsey Duquette's Journey with FSGS

Lindsey Duqette was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome at the age of 2. She was later diagnosed with FSGS, and by 2011, had gone into kidney failure and needed both of her kidneys removed.
The next year, in hopes of getting Lindsey off daily dialysis, her family began searching for a kidney donor - and her father, Jim Duquette, was a perfect match.
He donated his kidney to his daughter at Johns Hopkins Hospital in June 2012. This year marks the 10th anniversary of Lindsey’s successful transplant.
Jim Duquette was recognized as the honoree at NephCure's 2022 New York Countdown to a Cure, where him and Lindsey addressed the audience.
The Duquettes have been active members of the NephCure community and our fundraising efforts for the past 18 years.
