This Omega Seamaster Cal 1342 (Quartz) is my Dad's and does not work. I assumed it was the battery so I decided to strip it, clean it and replace the battery.
I have exactly the same, bought it somewhere between 1970 and 1971 in Gent, Belgium, from a certified Omega dealer. It worked perfectly on its original battery for some 15 or 20 years, Then I lost it but found it back some 10 years ago. Had it sent to a certified Omega repair centre in the UK, it was repaired, cleaned and now works perfectly again. Repair cost was only 360 Euro. These watches are accurate to about 1 second per year. That is why there are cerified marine chronometers, hence "Seamaster". The name has nothing to do with whether waterproof or not, only the accuracy.
Those are the inexpensive removers from Esslinger. For some reason I feel the Presto style is too much for smaller delicate watches. I use the presto style ones on the pocket watches, but I felt more comfortable using these here.

Unfortunately not. I never found that stepper motor and honestly haven't tried looking for one for sometime now. Thanks for watching

I'm not sure if it did. This was my dad's and I have no idea if he changed the bracelet to leather or if it came with one.
