Really good idea. Tomorrow I'll be replacing my wiper blades.
Excellent Idea. . . . . ;-)
Excellent idea, thank you. I have just made a modern road overpass (all for free) and could not figure out how to do good looking barriers. We are in lock down so unable to get to the local car wreakers so will wait for my wife to look away and grab a wiper off her car. Cheers, Garth
I Love it, but, I didn't tell you to do that, well, not outloud. Good Luck.
I tried it thay work great I made 1000 and thay are fantastic
Excellent. . . .I am glad that it has worked for you.
Good idea,, when I had my layout. my friends were always amazed at things that I used from throw out everyday stuff into useful scenery ideas
Like old newspapers?
Just discovered your channel and subscribed, awesome work brother.
Paul Knapp , thank you my friend. . Much appreciated. . .

Great videos they help alot
Thanks Mike, Appreciate you watching and commenting.
This is a brilliant idea! Only problem is the thought now of how many barriers I just put in the trash before winter. 3 pairs of wipers at least. Bummer. Lol. Thx for sharing this. 👍
Great idea !!!
Great video, very interesting and informative as well . Very well done. Awesome, awesome you did a great job. I stumbled on to a video of the animated tractor in the sand pit nice layout you should be proud of your work..hope mine is as half as good as yours. Well done sir.
Jim, Thank You . Your comment is very much appreciated. I am glad that I can share some of my work. Thanks.
Wow great creative problem solving!
Thank You.
It never ceases to amaze me.... I've been in the Hobby for almost 43 years, and am STILL learning things that I've never heard of before!!
They DO look like concrete barriers. I'd have to do some searching, because I'm in HO Scale. Very worth the effort, as they look GREAT!
One suggestion, I use this with great success on Delrin and Celcon handrails on locomotives.
At your R/C Hobby Shop, they sell spray paint for Lexan car bodies. It stays flexible and adheres well to slippery surfaces. If you move them a lot, this paint may be a better option.
Gotta warn you though.... It's FAR from environmentally friendly!
PacbeltRR, Thanks. . . . . In the video @ 3.10, I show some of the Biggest that I found, Not Quite HO, But, I have not checked into Big Rigs. . .Not sure if they are different. . Good Luck to you. Report back if you find something, I would love to know. . . and thanks for checking me out.
That's great, I had never thought of using wiper blades for barriers, I have several places on my layout where this will definitely be used
Thank you
Rick B. aka plastic butcher
That's what I'm talking about. Thanks, Rick B. Let me know how it turns out.
Definitely will, thank you, I really enjoy your videos
Great vision. Try some Bumper and tire marks for your weathering.
What a cool idea! Now why didn't I think of that? lol
Thanks Scott, I am sure that you would have. I just beat you this time. Thanks. . :-)
Great video and great idea Gus. Just sent a text to my daughters and son in laws to save me two wiper blades should they be in the mkt for new ones. But I also am sure I can go to local NAPA etc and get a couple “ damaged ones “ donated”
Ha ha ha. . .Yes, I found a few in the spare parts can in front of my local auto parts store. I asked if I could have them, and got a funny look, but a nod, ok. . . . Good Luck michael.
Pretty damn good buddy!
Thanks
Thanks William. . .
Awesome Idea!!! I'm always looking for things that can be reused for my N Scale Layout. This is amazing!! What was the math for the smaller barrier you are using. I have to get me a caliper, & a N Scale Ruler. Thanks for sharing this idea, It is awesome.
On my N Scale Ruler it shows just about 2.5 feet tall. . . Using the my digital caliper, it measures out .2 inches ( point 2 ). . . .2" x 160 (n scale) = 32" inches tall . . and .150 wide , .150" x 160 = 24" wide . . . and then cut to a scale 10' long which is 3/4" . . Thanks for your comment and I hope this helps. . . Let me know what you come up with. . . FB@ Model Train Details.
Awesome, Thanks for the reply. I'm going to attempt to make some of these myself. Thank you for the measurements. I like your cone pods as well. Hope you have a awesome 4th. I'll save the info for future reference.
Oh man......what an excellent idea...absolutely brilliant !I was going to buy some from BLMA,but they don`t make `em anymore or sold out (think they were bought out by Atlas)
Anyway ,this is just as good and a PILE of money cheaper.
THANKS

Hey Gus, what a clever, environmentally friendly idea in N scale! Did you plan to upload this video on Earth Day, or was that just a happy coincidence? Your concrete barrier idea is so good that I've added this video of yours to my UA-cam channel's "Clever Ideas in N scale" playlist for everyone to see. -from Tom Pilling
