I work on sewing machines too…my off topic refurbish was a kitchen aide mixer from 1954. It’s my every day mixer. The paint was nearly pristine. I paid $32 for her. 🌈🌈🦋🦋
What a GREAT project! Those old style fans remind me of my Grandpa, I remember him having one in his home office... The actual room I now use as my sewing room (I live in my grandparents old home)! Thanks for sharing the remake of this relic!!! BTW... The color choice is perfect!
I'm on the last leg of renovating 3 1960's Kenwood Chef mixers. I love their sturdy simplicity, both of use and maintenance. Lots of these fans in Australia that I've passed by over the years. What's the odds, watching this, that I find one soon?😂😂
so timely and synchronous. I was just thinking about stripping my vintage frigid fan and panting a steel color today. what are the chances of you doing the same!😂
I love how you show your mistakes instead of editing it to look like you can do no wrong. It's like we're all casually sitting in the shop with you. Old fans are so wonderful! I've rewired a few because by the time they get into my price range they need a lot of love. I'm surprised you didn't need to rebalance the blades because it seems mine are always just a bit bent. And that paint job is just beautiful.
You're not going to believe this, this morning I was looking for Singer items to use for my Singer table and found this Singer fan. I was debating if I wanted to spend that much money on it. So just before I emailed you for your opinion on the emblem for the table I went ahead and ordered it. I thought this would make a good addition for the table. After emailing you I saw you just posted this. What are the odds? Actually I misspoke it was a couple days ago I found that fan, but this morning I was still looking for more items and undecided to buy the fan, but decided to buy this fan before I emailed you.
The joy in your voice when you switched her on, lovely colour. x
She is glamorous with the emerald colored paint.
When you turned it on I actually giggled out loud! Great job! What a cool addition to your shop, fits right in!

Oh what a blast! I didn't even know Singer made fans but it makes perfect sense they would when you see one pulled apart. Loved it!

That was fun!!!👍😀
I had fan light that when I was a kid. Mine was mint green color. I don't know the brand name.

Loved this restore. You are inspiring me. You did an awesome job. Thanks for sharing.
Very cool! You certainly are a Jack (Jill) of all trades.
Just love it! I have one just like it and have been looking at it for 4 years. But I was too afraid to open her up. Thank you for sharing!
