Winter Review Scottish Small Stream Fly Fishing
Вставка

- Just a short video today and a quick fly-around the snowy local river. We are now more than half way through the close season, so whilst we are not fishing yet we live in hope cheered on by the ever lengthening days and looking towards that shining light at the end of the tunnel! I hope you enjoy it.
Roll on March 15th!

Can I ask you guys who are subscribers if you received a notification of this video? I ask because the "notify subscribers" option was nowhere to be found when I uploaded the video. Perhaps I just missed it?
I did
@@flockwallpaper Thanks 👍👍

Thank you I'm happy that you enjoyed it. 😊😊
Hi Fred !...great to hear your voice again ...and belated Happy New Year wishes !!...yep, got a notification of your video...a truly beautiful Scottish winter season scene (plus very clear camera/drone work and great choice of music)...very enjoyable...thanks a lot...see you next time in March...get tying those flies for the new season! 😄🎣TK
Many thanks TK! I've managed to avoid fly tying thus far over the close season but will have to check the boxes soon I fear! 😄😄
Hi Fred, I did get a notification you'd put on a new video 👌
Thanks Doug! 😊😊
That was beautiful- cracking pictures- thanks for sharing and tight lines for the new season when it comes
Many thanks for your comment. 😊😊
Yep.👍
Glad you liked it! 😊
Good to hear from you. The river looks really good it's waiting for you when the season opens up 👍👍
Thanks. I just hope we don't get too much more rain before March 15th! 😊😊
Good to hear you online again Fred and like you can't wait for the new season, rivers in wales just gone down after over 3 months in spate or full flood and now blue sky and sun so fancied a go for grayling but sooooo cold for my old bones the log fire won lol. Stay well and hope to see you back on the water soon . ATB Mike PS yes I did get the notification.
Thanks Mike. Our wee river has been in the fields for months too. It looks good now but it won't take much rain to send it crazy again.
The 15th is rapidly approaching and I have just given my tackle a good look over and ordered another couple of dozen flies. I don't really need them but a man can never have enough flies, just in case. Lol. Tight lines
Yes, the 15th is a week tomorrow! If the weather is OK I'll do my duty as tradition dictates and get out for an hour or two. It's not usually much good for the first two weeks or so on my local, but it's fine just getting out again after the long lay-off! I might even shoot some video. 👍👍
yes mate recieved notification thanks for a great we video great to watch the snow from the armchair
Thanks and yes when it comes to snow the armchair is king! 😁😁
Good to hear from you again. Aye, opening day is coming closer, and I can feel the excitement building. I've been driving my wife mad, searching through end of line bargain bins and online specials to get myself properly kitted out for the 15th. I've got a couple of new rods and reels, and a head full of ideas that the weather will no doubt have the final say on. 'mon the fush!
Thanks and aye, the excitement is building even although the season seldom kicks off until April. The first trip of the new season is always special even if fish are scarce. 😊😊
Picturesque to say the least, 👍.
Snow really adds a new dimension to familiar places. 👍👍
Lovely video Fred, it's been a wee while since we heard from you, hope all is well?
Thanks for asking Richard. The season start right through April and into May was dreadful with cold winds and floods. I just found other things to do and have not got back into the fishing at all! Hopefully the spark will re-light soon! 😊😊
@@wildfisher Been the same everywhere I think Fred. Looking forward to seeing you in action again. Take care and tight lines
All the best for 2024 Fred
Same to you mate! 😊😊
@@wildfisher Thanks Fred, was out with the dog one day at Lunan bay and decided to go home Via boysack mill, stopped the car, me and the dog had a walk upto the weir, its so overgrown since i was last there (maybe 30yrs ago)

Hi Fred, just checking in...jhope you're keeping well...have you been out on your local river yet? all the best
Hi TK and thanks for your comment. I'm fine it's just the terrible weather that has stopped me getting out fishing. I'm hoping to get out and do a new video this week. Keep checking back just in case. 😊
@@wildfisher Glad you're ok amigo...hope you get the chance to wet a line this week...take care, all the best
