For Lando to win the WDC, you could argue that Lando needs to win six more races. In the first 13 races in 2024, there have been seven different race winners. All seven of these races winning drivers can win the last 11 races. Add to fact, Max will most likely get another 4 more wins this year. After the Miami GP, Lando needed to constantly out score Max in order to have a shot at the 2024 WDC and it hasn’t happen.

Nico highlighted the fact that Lewis had to follow team orders when he knew that he was going to lose the 2016 WDC, as a result of it. The podcasters on this podcast are wrong in using Lewis Hamilton because Nico Rosberg can provide clear examples where Lewis and Nico swapped position, because the Mercedes team strategy was to use the faster car to win the race. Sebastian Vettel is a great example, within two years of not following team orders, he was no longer at the team. You can argue that Sebastian Vettel Doug dug his own grave at the team by not following team orders. Multi-21 year was the last year that Sebastian Vettel won a WDC.
