The team full of legendaries is probably low IQ.. the team full of rarely seen Pokémon is a wild card to be feared.

As someone who plays VGC doubles, if I see an opponent use something out of ordinary in their team I feel such immense fear it probably can't be measured because at least against the meta mons I know somewhat what to do, wildcards are spooky! 😂
What i fear the most is that guy who has 4 OU mons, 1 PU mon, and 1 random lv 1 aron. Understands the game well enough to know the meta, but creative enough to know what unpredictable antimeta works

Thief + acrobatics or feint scyther is also chill. No one expects item stealing from an acro user giving ghost killing power. Run it with CC and feint or quick attack to bait ghosts out.

Man I caught a Surskit on my 1st playthrough of Sapphire cuz I thought it was adorable and I was a Masquerain fan for life.
The combo of intimidate lowering opps attack and quiver dance boosting spatt,spdef and speed is pretty nuts. Overlooked mon for sure!

I’ll be honest, I was bit disappointed to not hear the scream when Golem used Explosion.
Guzma taught me that can be a threat
This Pokémon should have Compoundeyes as ability, it would be much more useful on a sleep powder move set, equipped with hydro pump with increased accuracy

Design wise Intimidate makes way more sense though

I was just getting into games when Pokémon Gen 1 came out and your videos constantly blow me away with how *deep* Pokémon strategy has gotten since then where it was just “haha fire go brrrrr against grass”
Gen 1’s strategy has gotten deeper over the years too, no one who doesn’t play competitive would expect Tauros and Persian to be the strongest mons of RBY
Masquerain has always been a thorn in my side in PvE over the years. I always forgot it's typing because it's rarely seen and then it has Intimidate just to be a nuisance to me.
Now the new gen reveals the effectiveness of the move to your oppa

I've been using this 'mon for quite some time now. It is unfortunate that you released this video of it because now its potential will be out there for people to see 😅.

I personally believe mud shot (w/ tera ground) is a better option than Hydro pump. It covers more, has 100% accuracy, and speed drops 1 stage. Yes, hyrdo pump can cover for fire and rock types but what about steel and electric? That's why you choose mud shot.
I feel like blaziken users would gain a lot more advanced using moves other than protect immediately everytime

Speaking of this pokemon, I got an entirely full odds 1/4,096,000 Masquerain by accident, I was looking for Iron Crown and Iron Boulder in Area Zero and I encountered a shiny Masquerain with a rare mark, and any pokemon has a 1/1000 chabce of having a rare mark, and the shiny Masquerain (1/4096 chance) has a rare mark (1/1000 chance), which makes it a 1/4,096,000 Masquerain, and I didn't have any sandwich boosts active nor the shiny charm at the time, I ofc hyper trained it and it has the moveset Giga Drain (for rock type coverage), Air Slash, Bug Buzz, Quiver Dance, and it has the grass tera type, it managed to barely take out a 5 (or 6 star, I forgot) tera raid Golem.
Always love seeing these forgotten mons get some love. You never fail to entertain bro. Been a fan since the gen 4 wifi days 👊🏿

It also doesn't get scald.
(For vgc) You can also run a supportive quiver dance baton pass set. Focus sash, sticky webs, then QD, then baton pass it to something that can cook. Put an Oricorio next to it to start, baton pass to your Volcarona and you got a dance party.

I've always liked Masquerain. Not necessarily its utility, but just in general. I really like your videos with underused Pokemon being successfully used competitively. It goes with my belief that, though some are definitely more useful and versatile than others, every Pokemon can be good when used strategically. Just like how you used Dodrio a couple weeks ago to decimate a team. It's awesome.
