This is awesome! Thank you for trying this out for us! Your hair is always beautiful. The bedhead little tease crimper gives a similar effect and is only $30 for anyone looking for a "dupe". It is also smaller so it is easer to get right at the root.

I bought the 'Valoom' over 2 yrs ago and watched too many videos to try and help hide the 'waffling🤣' you are the first to show or mention doing the back of your hair/ crown....thank you. Gave it another go today and it turned out, actually, good...thank you and thank you for doing/showing the back of your hair.

Since you asked, I'd love to see a video about the Inverse hair conditioning system. It looks like a straightener, but it doesn't straighten and you actually put it in the freezer instead of using heat. It's supposed to reduce frizz and strengthen hair over time, improving it more with each use.
It's a product I've been curious about ever since it came out (maybe two years ago??), but there aren't really many reviews that I can find and not a whole lot of info in general, for that matter. It'd be cool to learn more fron someone whose opinions I'd actually trust.

My hair is very fine and straight. And it's just so flat! On days where I don't "heat-less" curl it, the Voloom really helps fluff it up. It's definately worth it. And heat damage I may be causing is only on the under layers where it's not visible.

Girl, send it my way if you don't need it! I've been crimping my hair for volume and texture for about 16 years. I've been wanting to try the voloom for a couple years now. 🤗🤗🤗

Also Babyliss pro crimper has the same effect but much more subtle in that the crimp is hidden more than this & is £18 in Tesco (uk)

Mine was the same for a long time. I did the no shampoo thing for a month. Then went back to shampoo and conditioner. Now I shampoo every 2 days and only need conditioner once a month. It took that whole month of doing the no poo for my scalp to stop producing so much oil.

I just got one on eBay for $80. It was used once & wasn’t for her. It had no signs of being used & I cleaned it good. I have tried all kinds of products for volume & root lift. They all weigh my hair down. My hair is super fine & thin. I’ve only used this once & got several compliments at work. It’s expensive, especially brand new, but compared to money I’ve spend trying products that don’t work. I recommend this. The only way I’ve gotten volume before is using caruso steam rollers but that’s so time consuming. The voloom took less than 5 minutes & I was out the door. I seem to have more self confidence & in a better mood when my hair looks good so it’s worth the money to me.

Great concept, BUT, I wouldn’t want to have my hair “waffled” underneath! If your hair blows around then you are going to see the waffle marks. At least with a light backcoming, your hair is still smooth. That is just my own opinion though. Thanks for reviewing!

    • @Framlii

Julie Colleran i think its great idea when you want your hair up and add volume. But its not worth 120....

I tried the small revlon triple barrel
...and I have long beautiful thick straight hair and I took my time with it .....i let it cool didn't use it too hot took long breaks in between sections so the tool wouldnt burn my hair and now I have some permanent waves mixed with my straight hair and I hate that. That was 3 years ago and I could still see the waves....and I barely ever do anything but wash my hair No dyes No hairdryers.....hot crimper tools are all bad.....so if you want permanent waffle hairs try this.

    • @TangyExplosives

Hey! I saw your comment and I wanted to tell you the tricks I use that keep my hair looking waffle crimped free lol. I've been using this for about 4-5 years and I find the best method is to use on all your roots, not just the ones underneath, then once it has cooled, massage your scalp with a tangle teezer brush in circular motions to diffuse the crimp! It looks incredible and people think I have beautiful thick hair and can't tell that I've used a crimping tool!
EDIT also wanted to mention when you massage the crimps out, it makes your hair MORE voluminous

I like that you let the crown of your hair grow out. It showed me that you can still manage to style it without the shorter layer in the crown. Since I'm just now getting ready to go get my hair cut. I grabbed a clip (pic) of you and am taking it to the salon and telling my hairdresser to cut my hair like yours. And since I don't process, color, bleach or anything, I think the Voloom might be good for me. My neighbor has more your type hair, she highlights often and she has no problem getting volume on her processed hair. Me - not so much. Virgin hair needs help getting "lift". I might be trying out that volumizer. Thanks for the review.

  • @bugstomper123
    @bugstomper123 6 років тому +4

I think this would be really great for an updo where you want a lot of volume, but don't have enough hair. Then you wouldn't have to worry about the crimping lines so much if the wind blows your hair about.

Diana Snow o am trying but i can't get products she's been using...and the shipping to slovakia is too much :( but also when i use a hair dryer my hair looks like s*it (i'm sorry for the word but i don't know better one :) ) and on the other day after that i can wash my hair again (no volume, no shiny hair, oily hair....:( )...still don't know what to do for the hair like hers ....

How long did it last? Did it look as good later as it did at first? I started watching your videos because you and I have almost the exact same texture and thickness in our hair so I rely heavily on your opinion of a product. Volume is almost always an issue and I can usually achieve it at first, but later...whew! Not so much. So an update on how it held up would be awesome.

Milabu the problem however, is that I live in South Africa. Very few of the products you test are available here. But thank you for responding and letting me know what's coming. I appreciate it!! Thanks for your vids. They're very informative and fun to watch.

I love big hair but can get same results by back combing. I like that you do these reviews tho! I'm always looking for new tools/accesories that will make my hair look cool without spending an hour to do so. BTW, I love your channel!

Milana I love your channel and have bought many products you have recommended including your own comb and clear elastics from your site ( I am waiting for delivery). I have severe arthritis despite being young but love styling my hair but many products are too heavy for me to hold for long periods. Could you recommend any styling tools you use that are light weight and perhaps do the job faster, perhaps a vlog. I love curls and volume many curling irons aren't too heavy but any suggestions would be appreciated I really struggle with hair dryers. I have been told the Dyson is light and does the job in half the time but I cannot afford this so do you know of any dupes that do the same job. Again love the channel I have recommended you to many of my girlfriend's I think your honest and trust your opinion. Xx

Stefanie Cichocki ho stefanie not sure where about you are but I used the lee Stanford chop stick curler. Really light weight and gives amazing curls. My daughter has hair past her bottom and I had to curl it for pantomime she was in, having really bad fibromyalgia that hurts my wrist really bad doing her hair I managed this every day for a week (and it took an hour and half)

Stefanie Cichocki if you aren't worried about temp control and can deal with just hi and lo settings there are a number of good mini hair dryers that will do the job just as fast as a regular hair dryer but half the weight or less.
