Premiere Pro's Auto Reframe Sequence is great to create variants of a project with many aspect ratios. It even tracks your content to pick the perfect section of the frame, but what if you don't want that track? In this tutorial you learn how to remove the track data to avoid undesired camera movements and also how to automate this process with Automation Blocks for Premiere Pro.

The CSV file does not function properly in Automation Blocks for After Effects. When I manually download the Google Sheet, it works fine; however, when I use the Google Apps Script, it doesn't work. The script completes without any errors, but it does not write any text. Please help. thank you..

Thank you for your feedback, but I don't fully understand what you are talking about. Which Automation Blocks tool did you try to use? And if you say the script is working with a csv file exported from Google Sheets but not with one generated by Google Apps Script, this sounds like the export with the Google Apps script is broken. Best post a question in the forum (as described here:docs.mamoworld.com/automation-blocks/#forum ) and explain which Automation Blocks tool you have issues with and attach both the csv file that works fine and the one that causes issues.

I wanted to do something similar but probably even easier. I just wanted to disable (or delete) the auto reframe effect (or toggle on the motion effect) which ever is easier. How would I do that? I just got the trial to see if it would be possible and searched through the forums but I don't see anything about toggling on/off effects

As far as I know, the scripting API of Pr has no documented functions to enable/disable effects. For adding effects in the meantime we found some inofficial QE-dom functions, which you can now also use in Automation Blocks (see docs.mamoworld.com/automation-blocks/block-reference/prOther#clip-apply-effect), but I am not aware of a similar workaround to enable/disable effects.

Hi, this is a nice feature. Can I poke your brain for a minute; is it possible to use Auto Reframe, but then somehow have a script that can copy all settings into each item in timeline back onto the normal Motion and then delete the Auto Reframe?

This is an interesting idea! Automation Blocks can read and write the property values at any time in the timeline, but it cannot figure out where exactly a property has keyframes and how they are eased. Therefore, Automation Blocks cannot copy the keyframes, but it could create a keyframe on every frame of the normal motion to replicate the same motion. Would that still be useful for your application? If you just want to eliminate the Auto Reframe effect, then this should be good enough, but it would make it very hard to change the motion later with all these keyframes.Unless we come up with a clever method to eliminate unnecessary keyframes...

UPDATE: I did some experiments and found a way to create only keyframes where necessary. In the examples I tested, I found that the Auto Reframe actually contains quite a bit of unnecessary keyframes and Automation Blocks eliminates those during the process. So after copying the keyframes from Auto Reframe to Motion-Position, you actually have even less keyframes for the same movement. I will look into it again on Monday to turn this into a polished tool, which I can share.

I just published this tutorial about it: ua-cam.com/video/owvo87ehv0s/v-deo.html
