When I first saw clipchamp in my pc after updating to win 11, I was annoyed, but kept it anyway. But later it's become very crucial for me now. It's a great one for basic video editing.

Can i ask which tool did you use? Your transitions look super smooth & while editing softwares allow lot of options, the smoothness is most difficult to acheive

If you're new... Capcut is amazing for you to get started and is easy to use on PC and Mac and on your mobile device! However if you have some experience DaVinci will be better.
I wanna use Davinci because I like to do hard stuff, and learn alot, I made myself learn how to code thinking I wanted to make a game, and now I have an engine and have learned about completely and I didn't want to make a game/didn't have an idea, but I fell like learning Davinci will be fun even though I'm 12, I believe I can do it after I learned how to code
True, it’s web based and needs internet. Davinci resolve can work entirely without internet. Capcut too, although it downloads various effects as you need them.

And also, if you do get the PRO version, you just pay 300$ once, and then forget about it. With Premiere Pro, it's now a subscription. I had used premiere for 3 years, so it was a little hard to switch, but once I learned the shortcuts and stuff, I am now editing as good as before. I think that a lot of time ago, (6 years or something), you had to pay for DaVinchi, so if you tried it at that time, that might have been the reason you got a watermark.

Thanks for the suggestions. I really do think that cap cut and DA Vinci resolve are really great editing software applications. However, cap cut constantly tells me that I have no storage on the cloud and DA Vinci resolve is very complicated and I encountered problems like video offline ( although it isn't - as I got it stored to my harddrive).
Clip champ is frustrating. Cap cut works great for shorter videos under 15 minutes and it's limited for how many layers it'll run at once but m still use it. DaVinci resolve is something I want but I can't figure out how to install it correctly.🤦

why is no one talking about the one on windows 11? I didn't even know windows have it's own video editing software I use Shotcut anyway the problem with many free editing software is that they usually have a watermark so does any of these come without the watermark?

Please do not use Microsoft clipchamp. I wasted almost 3 hours to edit a video and it keep crashing. When i am done editing i found clipchamp doesn't process 60fps and it make my video laggy
Because they can’t be used offline I wouldn’t say they are the best, and you have to have a lot of data for them. I know technically you can used Capcut offline but only for the most basic stuff like trimming and and adding not effects of transitions or anything
I went from iMovie on iPhone to iMovie to iPad because my phone had less storage and also iMovie for iPad had waveforms in audio which really helped. I then went to CapCut for iPad as there were more functionality and finally to CapCut for PC as my PC had way more storage than my iPad (1.25TB vs 64GB) and also because of the ability to select multiple clips at once and the ability to copy and paste made editing a whole lot easier. I plan to edit on both my iPad and PC as projects can be transferred via the cloud and hopefully replace my iPad with a laptop in the future as an editing device.

DaVinci Resolve Studio 18.5... mainly use the Fusion page with the transform node to pull together the transitions.

I tried clipchamp when it first came on Windows but the problem is it doesn't work offline.

Davinci resolve has everything that capcut has but better with extra things
Better masking tracking rotating davinci resolve is free like capcut but better in alot of points
Da vinci resolve might be complicated nothing is complicated when you take time to learn it because patience is the key
