    i definitely agree with the last part, i also have a fear of being mediocre and want to strive to be the best i can be and push myself out of my comfort zone. that´s one of the reasons why i started my UA-cam and am going to travel long term after graduation

    This is great guys ! Really helpful tips for aspiring vlogellers ! oh god i remember the first time I started to vlog, I just felt this painfully strong feeling that people were looking at me Judging every word im saying. When it really comes down to it, who really cares about what strangers think. They are strangers. They dont know ANYTHING about you, therefore their judgement of you invalid (and shame on them for Judging in the first place) And if all else fails, just think of it as them being boring and weird for not vlogging something special :) Dont let anything or anyone stop you from happiness !

    Cool beans guys. I may very well be heading to southern Mexico and exploring some of those cenotes myself pretty soon. My big fear is sharks, I hope there aren't any sharks in those underground rivers!?! (Probably not.) Where to next for you all? I guess we shall find out...happy trails.

    • @vagabrothers
      @vagabrothers  9 років тому +1

      Hey Gabriel! No sharks in the cenotes, just a couple of fish. We are going to be in Europe winter 2015. Then back to the states to shoot some spring videos and plan out our summer and fall. Hope all is well. Merry Xmas and safe travels!

      Sweet. Also I was hitchhiking yesterday and got a ride with this woman who had been to the area around Playa del Carmen and Tulum, where I plan to go, and she recommended a place called Xelha. Some kind of crazy natural water park or something with tons of water pools and natural slides or something along those lines. Sounds pretty fun. Time to get a waterproof camera though. Have an awesome 2015!

    I swear Marco read my mind with that last one. "Motivated by the fear of being average"

      Many of us share that same fear. :) thanks for watching and commenting George. Merry Xmas!

      I'm coming to the US first on the Disney International Programs, doing a bit of travel before/after within the US and then heading out to Europe! Thinking of doing a Contiki in Europe. I'm a UK/NZ dual citizen but I've lived in New Zealand for 14 years now so I haven't seen most of Europe.

    I liked the travel diary tip, should've done that for Paris except I wrote stuff I did haha. Well emotion diary for London next week I guess. And scuba diving through the caves, I would actually die from fear!

    • @vagabrothers
      @vagabrothers  9 років тому

      The diary is a good way to relive those great moments of travel. Scuba diving in the cenotes is scary but so unique, it has to be done! Cheers and thanks for watching!

    lol i love how ppl from different places pronounce things "panyers" for a sec i was like what are panyers... paniers hahahahha yall r so cute. also another way to cut down ur budget while travelling is like pre-drinking not drinking only at bars & eating local food!

    vagabrothers I watch Mission blue on Netflix have you guys ever thought about trying out the hope spots?

    • @vagabrothers
      @vagabrothers  9 років тому

      Hey Megan. We're afraid we don't know exactly what you're talking about. What are the hope spots?

    • @mjavin25
      @mjavin25 9 років тому

      vagabrothers Hope Spots are special places that are critical to the health of the ocean - Earth’s blue heart. Some of these Hope Spots are already formally protected, while others still need defined protection. About 12% of the land around the world is now under some form of protection (as national parks, world heritage sites, monuments, etc.), while less than three percent of the ocean is protected in any way. Mission Blue is committed to changing this. Networks of marine protected areas maintain healthy biodiversity, provide a carbon sink, generate life-giving oxygen, preserve critical habitat and allow low-impact activities like ecotourism to thrive. They are good for the ocean, which means they are good for us. We are often asked, “How much protection is enough?” We can only answer with another question: How much of your heart is worth protecting?
      Check out mission-blue.org It would be a great vacation place for for an eco-friendly video.

    Hey do you have any tips for backpacking from Ho Chi Minh City to Bangkok? We wanna travel manly through Thailand and Vietnam. I would freak out in one of those cenotes, I love to scuber diving, but I really hate caves!! Merry belated christmas!

    • @vagabrothers
      @vagabrothers  9 років тому

      charlotte b Marko went through all of SE Asia by backpacking. He bought a Minsk motorbike and did the trip on 2 wheels (see the written stories on Vagabrothers.com). If that's not for you, buses are the cheapest way to get through Vietnam to Cambodia. Then you can get to Thailand easily enough.

    Ok Marko, so what do you think the origin is of my last name? I've lived in California all of my life, but it always seems to be butchered. Hope you guys had a great holiday!!! 🎄

      Keri Ables Hmm... online it says it could mean "evanescence" or follower of Abel, from the biblical story. Take your pick! ; )
