Really called battleship gray. Maybe they found some old navy wwII surplus paint.
It's a matter of opinion but Hypersonic looks nothing like Sea Wolfe, one has a lot of green tint and the other is like a Nardo Grey. Also you can't replace Black with Carbon Flash, Black is one of the staple colors and not everyone wants a sparkly paint.

That Riptide blue with the yellow accents looks good! I am so torn on what color I want to go with on a 24. It's probably going to come down to a "day of" decision. I agree with you that they made a huge mistake with how many shades of gray they have. I still want to see the Cacti color in person before I bash it too much. I've been watching for one of the local dealers around me to get a Traxx in because you can order that same Cacti color on that vehicle.

I would like to see a British racing green not a neon green.
Sea Wolf Grey looks good, but I personally would go with Riptide as I'm a big fan of blue cars. I think Riptide would look really good. And if you're not able to change the grills and boomerangs to black, you can always get them wrapped or painted yourself. But I think you're making the right choice. The blue and yellow looks amazing.

Great video! Totally understand where you are coming from, but they can’t get rid of black. They NEED black, red and white. Sports car colors. Should have retired CF Black with the Pearl. I do agree that they need a bright green and purple to round out the pallet. 👍😎
I agree they should get rid of some of the gray and add more interior colors I would like to see another blue solid interior

I agree with you about their color choices, too many grays. I like the Riptide blue it looked good on the Corvette Commercial with the polished wheels. I’m favorite colors are the Red’s that’s my choice for my next C8.
My choice is Sea Wolf Gray. Some of these colors, I believe are E-ray only colors especially Sea Wolf Gray & Cacti. I like Riptide Blue except that it is a color being offered on the Equinox. Owning a $125k E-ray that is the same color as an Equinox does not bode well with me. I agree to wait on the front splitter for after market designs.
Also very interested in ordering my eray in seawolf grey but also worried about it looking silver! Silver shouldn’t be a colour offered on any car lol 😂
Agree with you concerning the silver/gray colors. As far as the new colors, having seen them in person at the Bash, the Seawolf reminds me of gloss 'primer' (not a fan); cacti - WTF GM (enough said); Riptide blue is a good choice for your E-Ray. Riptide is lighter than the ELB it is replacing. Certainly agree with you that a green should be offered. The 2014 green was smashing.
My build specs are almost the same as yours. I would like to have that Carbon Flash Black, but I settled for just the Black, because it was only available for the 70th Anniversary.
Cacti Green is actually the new best color (imo).... Like you, I like the idea of yellow belts with yellow brake calipers (maybe not with Cacti, though) But I personally find black interiors to be very boring. Very ordinary and too common.
I don't like the new blue much.... It doesn't seem very different from the Elkhart lake blue.
I agree that there are too many grayscale options.
BLUE, spending this amount on this type of car on a color as boring as grey/silver would be a shame. Grey/silver doesn’t say FUN, it says “I write this off as a business expense”. You’re not that old!
Riptide blue and no yellow accents
Red is the color on& for most sport cars.
I designed mine about 2 months ago. Convertible, of course, interior red accent, Bright red metallic & with racing yellow stripe. Red calipers, red line stripe tires. brought me back to the acrobat race car team from speed racer.. 😊
Ya never know what ya might like till ya see it . The dark Grey with the yellow looked crazy nice .

Chevy - "Oh, we have a TON of colors for the C8! There's white, off-white, eggshell white, gray, light gray, medium gray, dark gray, silver gray, silver, bright silver, dull silver, kinda-sorta silver... SMH!

I don’t think GM can make a mistake on the C8. They will still sell everyone they build!

I love your picks! I’m crushing hard on the Sea Wolf Gray! It’s the only color that might take down the Torch Red. I give a big thumbs up on your yellow accents. Question: I’m hearing that the Chevy dealerships/service are turning folks away when they come to them for after market add ons like the spoilers and rockers. If this is true, should I go ahead and opt for the flat black rockers offered by Chevy? I really want the carbon flash 1VM rocker panels from acs to match my carbon flash trim on my current build. I’m just having a hard time wrapping my mind around some side shop drilling holes in MSBHVIN !
Go with ACS all day...I just finished installing their rear diffuser inserts and Z06 rockers on my 23 CMG coupe...the drilling was EZ PZ. Really made me feel good doing it myself as well!
I’m in Maryland, if anyone knows of a shop with an excellent reputation for doing quality work and respecting their customers, please share… I feel like this c8 is my soon to be born child! I’ve been renovating the garage and getting ready for her arrival! As of this week, I’m 14 mos pregnant! 🤦🏾♀️

@@MSBHVINdoinggirlstuff what work are you looking for? PPF? Coatings? Great place near Philly called Blackout Tinting. Send Horse Power Obsessed an email as he knows area well. Likely worth the drive from Maryland and he might know best dealership or mechanics in at least Philly general area. I drive 200 miles roundtrip to get great service and intend on driving 800 miles to get my car PPF done by Blackout Tinting. And Mike could have some ideas. Many drive hundreds of miles to get the right mechanic or dealership or PPF place.
Just called my dealer yesterday to change from HSG to SWG. Exposed carbon ground effects, mirrors and spoiler. Left the winglets body color. But if course I'm a dork, red interio, brake calipers and carbon flash racing stripes with red trim. Looks oh so good 😊 (#1 on the list at my dealer so I had to make a final decision) it's ordered!!
We have the Red Mist Metallic Tintcoat. With the sun shining on the car it looks fantastic. If I knew how I’d attach a photo of our car. Cheers!

Riptide Blue just pops really well with Velocity Yellow for the brake calipers, and seatbelts.
Tried to buy a 2023 this past week. Cant get the Elkhart blue. Says built out all that color and is not available. So need to go with 2024. Whats with that. The new fancy paint shop cant paint blue?

I personally like the Sea Wolf Gray 🩶 color!
I think GM should have gotten rid of Ceramic Matrix Gray amd added a brighter green 💚 or purple 💜 color to the pallet.
CMG has been around for about 5 yrs now when it started on the Carbon 65 Edition cars.
The Sea Wolf Gray is different than Hypersonics heavy greenish hues. The lighter golden metallics give it a really great look in person!
The Artemis color interior has a dark clay color in person and two tone black competition seat would look really good with Sea Wolf too!

I do not like the blue or gray with the yellow. By far the best color with yellow is black. I can't believe some people also put yellow with red. The Oscar Meyer Hot Dog Corvette!!

Love your videos, you asked for an opinion, I would probably prefer the yellow exterior if you were doing the black/yellow interior, but that is just my opinion.
Love your spec Mike. As to GM's choice of colors, obviously someone at GM likes to experiment with them, and that's fine. But when all is said and done, if it ain't broke, don't try and fix it. But that's just me. I TOTLALLY AGREE as to GM having too many grays. What's up with that!? 50 Shades of Gray maybe? 😉

Accelerate Yellow DOES NOT match the Edge Yellow in the caliper……but it doesn’t matter. All the yellows complement each other. 👍🏻

My sales specialist advised me to not get stealth on speakers. His points were well taken so I’d look at that choice very carefully. I went with non stealth speakers. Got to CF roof and nacelles for sure. No red calipers and red seat belts? I know the yellow stiching cool but the yellow on seat belts just is a bit off in by opinion. Go for Sea Wold Grey hands down new color and blue is blue only a different shade. If purple was a choice then it would be a flip of coin but Sea Wolf still would be my choice. I think you’d be very happy with Sea Wolf and it will always be seen as “new” and innovative in my opinion. Skip yellow seat belts and go black. Nothing else really looks like Sea Wolf vs. the version of blue. You’ll still have yellow stiching and that will enhance yellow calipers. People will know that’s new and 😎 cool if you go with Sea Wolf. Really an amazing new color. Yes, Chevy has let us down on colors that would be great in year 5 of C8. Any of these good points for you Mike? By way I wish BOS would sponsor a Colorado event in Estes Park driving up trail ridge road (highest PAVED road in North America) visiting Alpine Visitor center and crossing Continental divide. Estes Park very helpful in putting together these type of events and I’d be happy to help! Now if I could only get that set of ERay all seasons for my Z06! Can you ask your contact? Gets cold up in them there mountains in mornings! Check out you tube videos on Trail Ridge Road as some refer the area as the “American Alps.” Absolutely awesome indeed.
why not a neon green. Im getting this and trading in my torch red C8. Im forced to get another red cause i dont like any other color in their palette. I also have a GT500 in grabber blue, so rapid blue is not an option for me!

I agree with your opinion on the colors if they insist on having such a limited selection. This has become an expensive car, there should be a much larger selection even if they have a set that is of much higher cost.. Cars like McLaren, Porsche and Lamborghini have what seems like unlimited selections. Why be so short sighted and even boring? I'd love a purple with a black and white interior. So charge extra...people would pay. How much interest do they really think they will get in Cacti? Whose idea was that? Is that person over 70 with similar colored hair? Furthermore, at the cost of an E-Ray compared to the Z06, I am turned off by the apparent lack of offering of the trim pieces in carbon flash. They could have done it center exhaust as well but I understand they don't want to step on the toes of the Z06. I would like a red mist with natural and black interior with RED stitching...I'm betting they would never do it...which makes no sense.

You don't seem to understand resell value of colors and that 65% of all cars sold are some form of gray /silver including black and white
It only is a mistake if it results in fewer sales, which is not going to happen. GM will sell every Corvette they can build in 2024 - so no mistake.
