Two rivers in a gale, the Bure and Yare. Trying to scratch a few fish. Sea fishing angling.

- Well it was blowing 30 - 40 mph southerly wind. It would have been horrendous on the beach here, so I thought I would get the uptide rods out again and try and scratch something from the harbour. I then tried the river Bure on the way home for an hour or two. Tide was really pushing through on the ebb. The wind with tide kept the tide running for longer than predicted.

Another atmospheric video, thanks. Too bad about the fish. I'm after a decent pair of waders to fish off the beach. Can you recommend a descent set with reasonable movement when fishing ? Thanks, Mick.
Well it all depends on price. I only use cheap pro s chest waders. They get battered when potting. Obviously like likes of Vass, Ocean and Guy cotton are far better quality and comfort, but they also cost a lot more

Good try James, the sea is poor at the minute, get the freshwater roads out again mate before the course season closes.
Thats what Ive been thinking, just need a mild day without a gale!
i did all my sea fishing up in anglesea many years ago and spent so much on bait and back breaking bait digging just to feed them bloody shore crabs

From what ive seen and heard that first mark sometimes fishes better on a night tide
I’ve only fished the river twice, and never at night. There was plenty of whiting there before Xmas.
Keep out the wind beany because that cold old wind up in Norfolk will go straight through you . I have lived in Norfolk East Barsham Manor Henry the 8th hunting lodge when I would walk from the cottage to the big Manor house it was that cold my neck would sink down in to my shoulders beany interesting times beany I love old fashioned houses they got character old fashioned times to think about I don't like mordorn day liveing beany 😢

@@richardhogan8911 yes, there was tonnes of eels here years ago. I used to boost my pocket money as a kid catching eels.

sea fishing has changed so much over the last 40 years and all for the worse, just not worth the petrol, bait ect for me, good on ya for trying pal
Yes it is getting hard work. The winter fishing isn’t that great anymore since the cod vanished. It’s better in the summer now for bass and smoothies
