Air Force has a significant job because one of the major responsibilities is to protect the superior technology that we have they have to be able to Grunt and controller.
i was in the 7th SPS from 74-78 and we guarded the weapons storage area with nothing but a couple of dog teams and no reserve force. i went to fort wolters infantry school 4 times and took AZR right out of tech school. after 1320 days on alerts in the B52 patch and the WSA, i found that a small crew with exceptional skills is superior to throwing too many thinkers into the mix. and I was top gun in tech school, which will sound hokie to any poor soul who wasnt there. Im 65 and have never taken any shit my whole life cause of the experience i had as a teen in the strategic air command. and i retired after 33 yrs federal service. its a great beginning, but its just a foundation.
Should ALWAYS work on securing your pistol in your holster WITHOUT looking. It is all about maintaining tactical awareness and keeping your eyes on the threat while transitioning. It is perfectly fine to look down while training, especially if you haven't ever drilled the technique. However, it should NEVER be discouraged. The USAF SF and other military police forces should be drilling that technique over and over again since they carry firearms while on duty at the bases.
Where will you go in war after peace with talibans ? There will be moments like that of 2005/2006 when you broken doors and entered in a lot of houses? I'm sorry for my english but i'm italian. P.s. i love america and your armed forces(police, army, seals, navy...)
If a deal is made with the Taliban, then we will probably reduce or limit our occupation in Afghanistan, and focus on the remnants of ISIS in Iraq or Syria, or turn towards Al Shabaab in Africa, or simply maintain a presence in defense of Saudi Arabian or Israeli allies. When in "peace," the military will stand prepared for war. We should be READY for it, not HOPE for it.

My thing is this, have more than one weapon, and have enough ammunition the last you 24 hours if you need it
