I don't make house music. I like it ok, but don't listen to it regularly. But I watch all of Ricky's videos because I love his style, vibe, etc and supporting cool creators. You rock, Ricky 👍👍👍👍
Ricky thanks for all the great stuff, whenever I'm feeling down I watch one of ur videos and it gets me hyped up and afterwards i always make some music.
I still struggle occasionally with just getting myself to take that first step and actually sing on my tracks, despite having my mic set up at all times and working on sessions for 6-8 hours a day. It's intimidating, but I feel like its important to put myself out of my comfort zone every now and then with my production choices. Great track, love the vocals!
What you can do with Arcade is route the sound to a new Sound channel in Ableton and just record the parts separately. That way you can keep the integrity of the sample you are using and just mess around till you find parts you can use.
I love using instruments and sounds not akin to the usual house music sound when making house music, so Arcade is kinda in my wheelhouse. I definitely want to try out that Warehouse VST though!
SoCal expat living in the dirty south now… my favorite part of a Ricky Tinez video is I never get homesick. The “yo that’s tight” is the most LA phrase I can think of that’s in English lol
Bro! I just love all your work, but I’ve got a question that I hope you can help me! I’m about to buy a MacBook Pro but a see here you are working with a Mac air! ¿Do you recommend me to buy a Air o Pro? I will work 90% Ableton 10% Photoshop, illustrator, Lightroom, sometimes video editing… I just don’t want to buy a mistake.
I hope you'll be proud of this man because in these latest months since I found your channel, I can't wait for Saturday to come and watch your new video and if it wasn't enough, I'm starting out a Lo-Fi house side project along my Chill Synthwave main one! Since you're always in love with new tunes, I recently discovered this incredible dude called "Monolithic", his stuff is right on the money for that banging house vibes, I'm sure you'll love it if you don't know him already. Can't wait for the next one, hope you'll get this jam done because it's damn groovy! P.S. Currently in doubt between picking up a Novation Peak or Waldorf Iridium (probably gonna get both married someday) but, do you ever use your Peak on bass duties? Kinda curious how good could it be at those chunky square Chicago bouncy bass lines. When it comes at drums/groove boxes/samplers, are you comfortable with Polyend Play as your main drum/sample tank? As many I'd have loved it even more as a sampler but I get why they didn't want to cannibalize Tracker. Wish you all the best, peace!
Dude, Monolithic is sick! thank you for sharing Gianluca. The Polyend play is fun to me for creativity but it has a tendency (for me) to run into this situation with grooveboxes where i ask my self "this is cool, but now what?" and the chore of tracking things in 1 by 1 might be more "annoying" than its worth finishing the track in a DAW. -- But note that, this could also be a roadblock i throw in front of myself for fear of realizing my track might not be as good as i can IMAGINE it to be, so i'd rather not finish it and live with the fantasy that the track would be so cool if only i could finish it.
Those synth chords are tiiiiight! So rich and balanced-it feels like there’s almost mid-side processing on them to create width while also chopping out a huge chunk of the frequency spectrum so it doesn’t dominate the mix.
Arcade is cool, and I subscribed a couple times, but it wasn't really my thing. It got a lot better than it was when it first came out, and it was cool that they made some of the sounds playable, but they weren't as good as most vsts. It would have been better if the samples weren't just loops, but more like playable samples, that were in key. The way they just group a bunch of loops felt generic to me. It feels more like I'm just mixing or playing around with someone else's beat, than making my own. I would go into the tweakable parts of sounds, and try to chop the parts that I liked, but that was too much work, for what I got out of it. It's fairly affordable, so I guess it's worth trying, but it feels like cheating to me. It's kind of like getting Splice or Loopcloud, and getting loops that were already tweaked and processed, to a point, that tweaking them anymore, would just have the sounds overworked. I get inspired when I hear something, and I think of the things I can do with the sound. I don't want something that already sounds finished. The most inspiring samples are the Spitfire classical stuff, but they still had the same, already done, type feel. The only way I felt like it was my music, is when I would resample a loop, and then chop it up in an external sampler. That took the fun and inspiration out of making music for me.
"Does the heavy lifting for you" - if creating a hihat loop on your own is already considered "heavy lifting", then music means paint by numbers for you. Here's a question: If i use the same samples from that kit that you used, together with a generic house beat like you did, and we both upload our track - who's gonna own the copyright and/or who gets a copyright strike...?

Same here, always look forward to his Saturday videos even though we make wayyyyyy different music
Im exactly in this camp. Ricky Tinez is the only house I listen to and I don’t mind one bit!
same.
@@NineTo5Golf Would love to have a list of other artists who make similar sounding music.
SAME HERE! I do most of my music in industrial metal, go figure. But I love these videos.
'It's Sunday morning' and I loved that. great vibe
Ricky thanks for all the great stuff, whenever I'm feeling down I watch one of ur videos and it gets me hyped up and afterwards i always make some music.
Ricky videos are always a good vibe. Seems like a stand-up guy

Yeah I feel you man, I have an AKG mic that I bought 2 years ago and have yet to set it up and use it
Not unusual. I am really shy re: my voice too. Using some tuning software helps for me. 😊
Yo brother! It’s Friday Night! We’re feeling all right! ❤️
hell yea, every night right!
I find D Minor one of the easier keys to remember, since, similarly to E minor, there's only one black key.
You’re an inspiration Ricky! Keep doing what your doing.
Really digging the vocals man! Do it more often, please 😍

@Hit me up-officialmiscast--VIA TELEGRAM What's this for?
Oh yeah! Separate outs would be a great add.
arcade is honestly one of my most used VSTs. great service.
Yea it's gotten me out of a few ruts lately. even something as simple as a solid shaker or hihat loop can go a long way!
We definitely feelin’ alright now Ricky 🪩
Loving the vibes Ricky 🔥 thanks for sharing 👍🏼
Man that house track sounds dope!
It’s great that they put out a house oriented line. I still prefer chopping up loops in ableton simpler but they could learn a lot from Arcade.
I love using instruments and sounds not akin to the usual house music sound when making house music, so Arcade is kinda in my wheelhouse. I definitely want to try out that Warehouse VST though!
ukw....it'd be really nice if you demonstrate all the routings and how all the outboard mixing gear works in your super cool studio.
I don’t think he uses much outboard gear for mixing, and his hardware setup changes frequently
How long has your grandmother been living with you? Don't recall seeing her before! Wasn't that the modular rack?
I love your videos!! Such an inspiration! And so much fun! Thank you for that!
Gawwdamn vibes man! ✨
Some nice feel good old school deep bro. Nice!
my arcade is just loading the whole time when i am in my daw. but as a stand alone it plays just fine.

This is so good bro. 👏
Yes about time for arcade to rock the 🏠🏠🏠

Yea I used to use arcade. I used an Akai mpk mini with it and it was laid out perfectly on that keyboard... A little fun fact 😏🎶🎧

you bought Ob x8?
Ricky, I am very concerned. Is that a shure SM 58 that I see before you? Omg I think it is. Your voice deserves so much better - seriously.
That synth brings me back to the days, you could show us, how it's made...
don't sleep on the midi capture function if you happen on a nice loop before hitting record
You meant you spoke on this track? )) great job man
Nice , might give this a try. Ps is it raining in the background or is it some sort of fan?
Fire track!!!
