Whilst you CAN stirfry in a Thermomix TM6, using its "high heat" function, a Wok is almost always going to be the better tool/appliance for this job.
So WHY did we use a Thermomix for this stirfry recipe?
We just wanted to show its versatility. While is doesn't easily replace a Wok, it does do a great job at a huge range of cooking and baking tasks, minimising your effort, and improving your results. Its true, we are fans of the Thermomix.
We have loads of One Pot recipes that are a natural in the Thermomix. If you are looking for One Pot or Easy Dinner recipes, try of the following categories on our food blog.

A great video
Thanks! They take me ages but I think they help inspire.
Good video and tips. Thank you. I find that stir fries in the Thermomix work well for two people , which is great for us, but any more than that it’s just as easy in the Wok as the high heat function can’t cope with larger quantities. By the way I always have knobs of ginger in the freezer. Easier to grate too .
Thank you, yes, I totally agree. I've always got ginger in the freezer, too.
This is great, I will make it this weekend
Look very delicious 😋 with rice
Yes it is, thank you. Great recipe on Cookidoo
THANK YOU!!!! I will also make it very soon - I love the Japanese cuisine!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤
You're welcome. Nice, easy one with great flavour. ;-)
Thank you Bec.
Agree about music volume x
Thnx, I can't fix it now. I will eventually make another one. It works ok on my speakers but I guess it depends on what you are playing it on.
Thank you. Please forget the music! A close up of screen is needed.
Thanks.
It doesn’t cut the food? What’s the purpose then? I can stir/cook in my instant pot
You're right-there are many ways to prepare a stir-fry! If your Instant Pot works well for cutting, stirring, and cooking and gives you the results you want, that's fantastic. For this recipe, I prefer using my Thermomix because it allows for quick, high-heat cooking that develops those delicious caramelized flavours we love in stir-fries.
As for cutting the vegetables, while there are attachments available, I find that hand-cutting is perfect when cooking for two. It allows me to control the size and shape of each piece, ensuring even cooking. Plus, I'm pretty quick with a knife so I choose to use that! But the most important thing is that you're cooking and enjoying your meals, no matter your chosen method.
Looks delicious! :) Do you think you could freeze portions of this? (apologies if you mentioned this and i missed it, lol)
I don't think I would freeze this sort if stir fry. It's much nicer if you can do it fresh. However you could have things chopped in the fridge ready to go when you get home from work. As I have the ingredients ready at the side of my TM6.
Can you just cut and add ingredients as you go, rather than premeasuring everything and to save on washing all those bowls? (to take advantage of the built-in scales)
Yes, for sure. I just had everything cut ready to go to make the video. That way I could fast forward instead of waiting for me to chop or things to cook.
@@qwerky1309 of course you can, be cause you lo be cooking on your own and not watching a vídeo
wouldn't the chicken and veg be cold by the time you put the sauce on it??
Good question, but no. 1. I wasnt long and 2. I've put it in a Thermoserver. A Thermoserver is a double walled stainless pot that holds the heat.
Music is too loud
I agree in some sections it may be. I can't fix it for this one but I'll keep that in mind for others I do.
seems more work...
It depends on what you're making.
