How CHINA Surprised My Mom!! || 中国让我妈妈大吃一惊
• How CHINA Surprised My...
Remember that Chinese people have these holidays for thousands of years even longer than any other nation on this planet. It is crowded in these three holidays but Chinese people are disciplined and every transportation works perfectly. Relax and see how well the Chinese infrastructure and systems work.
When Lizzy says split the holidays, that'd be like splitting Xmas in 2 parts one in Dec and one in the following month of Jan!!!
That would never work. It's called a public holiday for a reason.
It might just be her sarcasm
@@hongluong3427 I don’t think so.
@@philiptan2051 im just judging it by the title thats all
There is an idiom in China "人山人海" , literal translation into English is 'people mountain people sea' , describes a crowd of people bigger than mountains and seas
Most dangerous place in China: night market. You lose all your money in pocket and bring 10 pounds fat in stomach to home. 😂😂😂
Fat people in China!?! 😂😂😂
Nobody use cash in China
LOL
Jeez .. I really wish I knew what you're talking about..

Peaceful beautiful freedoms anicent great China 🇨🇳 💙💐
Happy holiday and I have bring my America family to vacation in China last summer for month what a blast.!!!🥰🥰🥰😍😍😍🤩🤩🤩😘😘😘
You keep bringing everything into perspective. Wonderful, please keep it up. Cheers from Edmonton Alberta.
Beautiful city, beautiful people.
Even though crowded, still very clean and organized.
Such a harmonious society.
I was there in 1997. I am glad to see the markets are still thriving.
Seeing this I think it's the liars who preach about the collapse of China who are going to collapse I guess! Hahaha
It's culturally for Chinese tradition like big crowds and big familiy gatherings.
I like the atmosphere, though. The crowds won't bother me, empty streets will
五一假期快乐丽兹!
I enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
I can learn English through your videos.
Thank you for introducing my hometown, Lizzy. ❤❤
I didnt know the real meaning of crowd until I went to live in China for about 7 years...LOL Yes, I stayed at home whenever there was a public holiday...😅 There is one exception though and that is the Chinese New Year. If you happened to live in a city, like I did in Shenzhen, more than half of the city population (more than 6 millions) will go back to their hometowns and the city is amazingly quiet for about 7 days.
Bangkok the same 😊
Same as most big cities in China. I really enjoyed Chinese New Year time when I lived in Shanghai, quiet and no traffic jam.
@@davidz7858 Yeah, it was too quiet that it felt eerie...lol
Thks for sharing , Next time you can counter those haters by showing China still thriving .
Sleepy Joe is crying in his White House.
Happy Labor Day holiday !
👍
🙏for the victims and their families of the expressway .
Don't worry. Everything will be fine. That is why the police officers are there. And Chinese people are well experienced for this sort of getherings. Happy Labor Day!😊👍👍👍
Not everyone will be travelling . Some might wanna stay local
The police are service personnel. Some people who don’t know where to go can consult. At the same time, they also maintain traffic.
very true. i don't travel during holidays. I stay at home but sometimes, i like the hustle and bustle 😂
主要在氛围。。中国有这种氛围。。比如 哈尔滨冰雪大世界 万人户外蹦迪 很嗨😂
China is definitly not only safe in recent years. When I was in primary school, which is 20 years ago, I was coming home from school alone, I accidentally fell asleep on the bus, missing several stops and finally got waked up by the driver. When I got off I had absolutely no idea where I was and started sobbing. The city I lived was a medium size city called Zhuzhou which has about 4 million people. A local mototaxi guy saw me crying so he asked me what happened. I was panicking, didn't know how to say things clearly. He was so patiently comforting me untill I told him where I lived and then he drove me home. My family wasn't so rich by that time still my grandfather gave 300 yuan to that man but he didn't even take it. He just sent me home and left. 20 years later, now I live in Rome.If I had kids I would never let them go to school or come back home alone in such city like Rome, it's chaotic.
I have been lucky (Chinese wife plans the trips) enough to not have traveled during big Chinese holidays. I can't even imagine the number of people because there are a lot of people out on any given day (or night) of the year. It would literally be an ocean of people. Unlike many westerners, I actually love the large crowds of people in China, but I think during the holidays, even I would get claustrophobic.
People enjoy big crowd and shops enjoy huge business.
Nope, we don’t, we just has no choice 😂 unless government comes up some better policy
@@Im-mono what policy can prevent people to go out for vacations? if this kind of policy existed, you are the one get banned! and any one force you to go out? no where and no one will vacant street for you!
中国人都喜欢凑热闹,到处都是人有一种安全感。
Just a heads up speakiing of traveling. Be careful where you go in China because of shody construction commonly known as toufu dreg. Yesterday news of a highway callapse causing 48 deaths. Gas explosions happen randomly in cities. Enjoy your holidays and stay safe.
In fact, the partial collapse of the Fuzhou Expressway was not due to shoddy construction, but because the local precipitation exceeded 500 milliliters for several days, leading to landslides of the entire hillside. Naturally, the road section could hardly escape the disaster. Such an incident is a very small probability event in vast China. Besides, the road accident did not occur due to heavy traffic, but because all passengers except the drivers fell asleep on the expressway at night. Therefore, many people did not notice that a part of the bridge was missing after the landslide at night.
im so happy to see my homeland in your video. and you have very good idea for holiday. why not try! i think we can try!
It is because many people work away from home. Those are the only holidays they can see their families. This is like the Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year holidays in the US. And US don't even have that many people but airport and highway are all jammed packed in those holidays. You can never get away from crowd in Asia but you also never feel alone.
Here we celebrate the holiday at home with families or a few friends, drink a few beers and maybe enjoy something from the grill or go hiking in Nature. Greetings from Vietnam😊
Absolutely right, do not travel in China during Chinese holidays, May 1st, Oct. 1st and Chinese New Year.
If you want to travel during a holiday, I have a recommendation for you!! Like you, I generally don't go far during the holidays, too much craziness. But New Year just gone, I went with friends to Shenzhen, and compared to the normal times I've been to Shenzhen, the place was dead!! It was actually a really relaxing and quiet trip. Because so many people have moved to the place for work over the last thirty years, holidays means everybody leaves for their hometowns!! I've been to Shenzhen a few times, and this was by far my favorite trip there!!
I always avoid crowds when I can. Must be hard in China to do so.
oh u are in Yunnan, it's ok out there at national holiday cuz there will be events anywhere but a bit crowded however don't travel around at this time
Thank you for your sharing.
😂i am opposite。
i like crowded place , as long as you can move is great.
caused i can observe which stall full of people mean that great stall.
if tat my favorite food i will in the q too.
never been to china thank for show me this .
this crowd for me acceptable.
你可以尝试到中国旅行,1000美元就可以玩一周时间👍👍
Chinese tourists are not going abroad, instead, they are flocking local attractions! So avoid the crowds specially on chinese holidays like chinese new year, where the largest exodus of people takes place and everyone's eager to go to their hometowns to visit their friends and family whom they see only once a year, maybe?
u r right, even many Chinese people don't travel to crowded places during holidays
What makes me laugh is that the cover of this video is the Tiananmen Square incident.
Welcome to China, we have many people. During holidays, people are everywhere and it can be very crowded, but it's also very interesting haha.
同样生活在昆明 有时间去云南周边旅游 更好玩
I follow the channel litle chinese everywhere. She seems to know where to travel to in China during the hollydays.
you were in my hometown city Kunming oh my god!! happy!
When you think of the locking-down days during Covid, you should prefer this kind of busy day.😃😃
Despite the crowd, I see clean streets & people are properly dressed, stalls & shops looked organised. Freedom to feel safe is most important.
may 1,oct1,in china were called golden week,5-7days
than is china spring holiday,7days
Can you ask them why don't they go overseas for holiday. I think they know haters knock them behind their back.

因为中国太大了,以至于你根本来不及探索完,所以中国才是第一选择。
Most Chinese like festive atmosphere which is inevitably crowdy and noisy, but which can also lift one's mood and give them a feeling of happiness being among them. People also enjoy people watching too, which is also why the more crowded, the more attracted a place to people is.
Hi,Lizzy!Didn't Emma go back to her hometown for the festival? If you hire her, you need to pay her triple salary during the festival.hahahahah......
hahah, terrible! people mountain people sea. I don't understand either why China does not even out the holidays, for so many years. Hope now they can introduce paid time off policy. Take care Lizzy.
Wow! No mass shootings or gang fights. Cool!
Good advice Lizzy. We won't.
7:14 the 'fashion' is from comics.
Cosplayers?
Lovely actually.
Hello beautiful lady, if you live in China, you should learn to understand that Chinese people have a strong sense of family. Therefore, no matter how many people there are or how much traffic jam there is on the road, Chinese people will go with their family and friends without hesitation to do the agreed things, such as traveling.By the way, in such a crowded place, people are still happy, peaceful and orderly, and the environment is also very clean and hygienic, which is really good.
it's a tradition for Chinese people to gather with their families when during holidays, especially of course the Chinese New Year! maybe Covid times was not an appropriate reference for you😂
With most of Chinas major cities containing larger populations than most European countries it's easy to understand why it gets so busy.
PS Will you please go with your friends to a hotpot restaurant, I understood it's an experience with so many foods to cook at table and the pot full of bubbling chillies, there's so much going on and it would be such a good video, if you do please order the hottest hahaha 🥵
the crowd is not so extreme in Kunming
I’m 100% agree. Do not go out to famous places during holidays in china.
If you want to travel around China do it on a western holiday (like xmas, good friday and etc). China observes western holidays and do not travel.
😂😂😂😂😂Learn about the second dimension. You'll know why they dress up like that😂😂😂😂
I rather like these long holidays. It allows people to travel and really enjoy a destination. The idea of the government is to create economic consumption that helps to boost the economy. No point just waiting for outsiders to boost your economy. They do domestic since they have the populace to do so. 👍👍👍
Our trip to China begins Oct 8th…now wishing that I would have held off until at least the 14th. )-:
Hi Lizzy, are you able to watch a video naming " China's high speed rail is deadly" by any chance? I was speeches and astonished after watching that video.
From a snake? It's the Only One accident of Chiese high speed rail way and happened decades ago... Chinese hater always make rumors
@@Nichousha7878 That guy reports every single negative side of China, every single accident of China, never mentioned any positive sings. He is a shame, not only he is bias, but lies to his followers, he, together with the major eastern media, brain wash the westerns. Shame on him.
Well, the holidays in China are mostly related to traditions, many of them last thousands of years. A tradition is call tradition, because it involves everybody. So yes, be prepared for crowds in China during public holidays.
Do you plan to come Beijing?
Lizzy, may I ask why you choose Kunming City to stay, why not Xi'an, Chongqing, Chengdu, Luoyang or some others.🥰🥰🥰
温度,自然风光
昆明四季如春
to my understand, one major reason why Annual Leaves not working well in China is, the fierce competition in the Chinese workplace has led to people not daring to take annual leave, fearing that their positions will be replaced. Yes, there are laws to protect workers' rights to take leave, but if such a thing really happens to an ordinary people, it will be troublesome and difficult for them to use the law to fight against their workplace.
not true
Actually not that complicated. Let me rephrase - You are asking "Why not split the Christmas holidays" so that the crazy ticket prices don't get so cracy.
During the holidays, China is doing a stress test on her transportation infrastructure. 🤣
As little as 15 years ago, China's transportation system was struggling to cope with the number of people travelling. Today no sweat.
You look like Rey, the Star walker🤩🤩🤩
Can the west dictate to have different christmas day for different state/province? Or the Pope decides to have different easter for different regions? Big crowd should be anticipated if one decides to venture out during the 'holiday'! The choice is all yours: stay home or go on trips!
If you do not like China
Do not try to scare people with your own private viewpoint
If there are too many people. You can stay away. Do not blame Chinese for what they are interested in,
Everyone has his own viewpoint, Please respect others. And do not blame. 👀👀👀👀👀👀
Good efforts, just complain a little less please. New year eve in Hong kong has 10 times more people and this is a reality for large population.
✌✌✌
sure
It helps people to understand "people mountain people sea"...
I am in kunming too
🤣🤣🤣people mountain, people sea 😂

China is perfect easy beautiful high tech i was surprised
Thank you for risking your sanity haha

I visited china once. From the many places I like the most us great wall Beijing. And the time I was there just the same day Chinese celebrate their national holiday early October. I kept regretting why I was so unlucky to visit my fav spot in the time of holidays where you see crowded spot here and there....making we couldn't enjoy the place maximally. Really not worthy.
🤔😀😀
祝福您玩的开心

this May Holiday,Changsha city is more crazy than Kunming city, many many tourists here.
Omg, there’re people everywhere, so many people 😂
If you live in Kunming for 4 years you should know better. That’s the holidays and people go all out celebrating regardless of the hassle.
