for those wondering, she did not say "it didn't even taste good." she asked, "did it even taste good?" she just used the wrong inflection so it did not sound like a question. she went on to answer her own question (eventually) by stating that the chefs did a fantastic job and the food was delicious. and yes, the mango sorbet in the middle was not dessert, it was a palate cleanser, but personally, I too like the idea of two desserts! 😁 and to answer her other question, I could not choose between mango and ube! but where I work, we do a huckleberry creme brulee, and that's what I thought that was at first, which made no sense because does Hawaii even have huckleberries? but honestly, I'd still pick ube over huckleberry!

@@stephaniemarie3587 The menu was very spot on about its theme there was no hiding it and it was very on the nose but that doesn’t make it a bad film necessarily. I found it worked really well as a black comedy instead of a horror movie as they put it. It’s definitely in the horror genre as it’s a psychological thriller and bloody at times but thats where it ends. It’s not a movie that relies on jumpscares to get the audience invested and that’s mainly why I like it so much. I think the character’s writing is a little superficial at times but that’s what ties into the experience of as the main character is kinda the only one you root for. The acting was spot on and the twists you find out about the main character were a little on the nose but very welcome! Overall I rate it about a 7/10.

Sure they do. I've seen some where the family brought in the food, I've worked at both an Italian restaurant & a bar b q restaurant & catered countless weddings between the two. The prices not being bad at all... similar to a fast food catering. However, we would set up, decorate & serve/ clean up. The Italian place would offer a bar... you could do open bar or cash bar... depending on your budget. I did one wedding from the bar b q place, out in the country in an old barn... & I thought they were crazy. They wanted brown paper on tables, twinkle lights & sunflowers for the decor. It sounded tacky to me at the time. They hired two guys to play the music... I think they had banjos, maybe guitars... long story short... it was one of my all time fav events. The atmosphere ended up looking incredible with the browns, oranges & warm lights... looked amazing w the metal building & wood tables & complimented the food perfectly. And the musicians blew my mind... I never thought two young dudes w two instruments could put on such a great show... but they were wildly talented & entertaining as they danced/ played/ sang on top of the tables. It was truly magical... I was bummed when it was over because the vibe & the energy was amazing. And their food bill? Incredibly affordable. The building was either free or very cheap... the decorations were super cheap (but SO cute) & the kids doing the music were college kids just trying to make some extra cash... w no DJ equipment or fancy extras (& they didn't need them). I would've never thought you could do an amazing party w amazing food & music for such a great price. It was more enjoyable on every level than any of the high dollar/ fancy/ formal weddings I had done... & at only a fraction of the price. The guests had an awesome time. They loved the food... and then they sang and danced and partied & drank beer they brought themselves & just had so much fun doing it. I really enjoyed being a part of it & they showed me you didn't need to spend a bunch of money for all the fancy stuff to make an event great... it was 20+ years ago & I still think about that night on a regular basis & how fun it was/ they were. So... if it were me... I'd skip the fast food & go for something like that instead. About the same amount of money... but a way better vibe. I do live in Texas... so having bar b q at a wedding wasn't weird & made the guests happy. Lol. I think it would work just as well regardless of location tho. Good food is good food... no matter where you live. I wish you the best when the time comes!!

Sorbet in a french style dinner is a pallet cleanser, not a dessert* but agreed, its always good xD

Yeah, I've had this happen once at a cousin's quinceañera. They had some meat that seemed to be a guisado but it didn't really hit and it had loads of cartilage. Frou frou food no good

Just so you are aware. It is not 2 desserts. The one you had in the middle of the dinner is usually something like a sorbet or similar. It is a palate cleanser, a way of cleaning the tongue from flavour and eaten food so that it allows you to taste more accurately what’s next

That wasn’t dessert in the middle. That was just a palate cleanser. They do it for really fancy, upscale meals. It’s very old school.
