Philly has always been lugubrious and plodding. It made them sound second-to-none on old monaural phonographs. Legitimately. Now, modern microphones don't muck around.
Genius Hilary's performance is beyond description , immeasurable , unfathomable and inspirational , and full of admiration and deep emotion , and comfortable to the ear and the mind From Tokyo of the Land of the Rising Sun 🇯🇵
5:47 - Damn look at when the crowd stands up to applaud, its just a sea of grey and white hair, I wonder if classical music will still be thriving in 50 years
She always play it like this. This isn’t e first time she’s played this. But I do agree it’s a little quicker than usual. But it’s not her. She’s following the conductors style. He likes it that way
Not so good sound at all, so this goes a long way from the normal standard of uptakings with Hilary Hahn. She plays as usual phenomenal, but the sound is lousy. Don´t listen to this!
Amazing!👍👍👍 One of the best third movements I have ever seen!
It’s so refreshing to see the concert performed outside.
I agree. It's hard to do with classical performances because they are booked so far in advance. Sometimes by as much as 4 years.

It's also risky because wind can mess up bowed string instruments; make the bow tighten and can even make them come out of tune.

She is like a talent fountain, the excellence is continually pouring out of her and it makes a heart soar and brings a smile to my face.
un disputed Best living violinist in the universe
Wow, that was a marvelous concert. She is the GOAT.
She seems to take some of the phrases forward with more energy than the orchestra can... handle.
Absolutely.
Yes, a pretty insipid orchestra...and Conductor?

Love HH
Brilliantly talented 👍🏼🎻
Her performance with the Norwegian (don't remember the conductor) is positively scintillating.
I'm praying everyday to be a good violinist like her.
_Everyday._
Good luck ☺️🍀
Go practice.
Don't forget to practice 40 hours a day
Sorry. No disrespect, but you either got it, or not.
Xayah Stop praying, start playing.
The best violinist ever 😍 I love her

Hopefully Hilary plays this concert sometime soon! I’m excited to watch this live, I’m willing to even do a little tour to hear this live 🥹
The orchestra isn't feeling nothing. Hilary Hahn it's so amazing. She is everything in his video.
The amount of flow in this is divine! ❤
Quelle belle interprétation ! Divine violoniste
Her Playing Does Everything Right In Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto.

So beautiful! Thank you for sharing!!!
instant standing ovation :)
Bravo! Ms. Hillary Hahn.
So smooth but so clean,,,,,,,,amazing!
The audience is mesmerized. Quite rightly.
♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️ BRAVO BRAVO BRAVISSIMO!! WHAT A BEAUTY!
Thank you for sharing.
The Maestro indeed
HER DRESS THO
@pvsabist it is NOT DISGUSTING
J'adore....💖💖
THE MOST POWERFUL VIOLINIST IN THE WORLD 💪💪💪
I just wish Hilary could visit NY Phil after Covid and perform whatever she likes.
Come to Berlin and practice scales, please... 😂❤️❤️❤️
I am became fan of her nowdays
Amazing wow wow wow
Amazing..extremly amazing...
Also @Leon Buđavčević Should Be Guilty For Hating Such Masterpiece.

Amazing 😍
Here's the twoset violin comment you were looking for
Ling Ling in action.... ❤️
Totally. I spent 40 hrs / day looking for this exact comment.
Super-human!
Wow. How does she remember all the notes without the music in front of her. Glad she smiled. The orchestra looked grim faced, why!!!
真好聽啊!

Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy, 3 February 1809 - 4 November 1847.
Nah, doubt it 🤔
Check out Twoset Violin.
it is so sad to me that the average age of the crowd here is 96
So, younger than usual, lol. Yeah, I’m a classical musician and the audiences are overwhelmingly of advanced age.
Yes. Sad. It’s slowly fading away ….
Ever heard of TwoSet? Check 'em out.
令人愉悅,
有幸福感,
The conductor is well behind her tempi, that's why they are not together with the orchestra.
Do you have a full performance ?
no, it's just this excerpt :c
HILARYYYYY💪💪💪
She's amazing, but is that Robert Plant conducting??

uau
She is going at break-neck speed in some passages.
Probably has a bus to catch, or a date.
Go HH, love you! 👍🏼
Dod she have a train to catch?
It appears the Orchestra is unable to match the adrenaline rush from Hilary Hahn.!Honestly ,they do look overwhelmed.
Heifitz and Oistrakh are the only other violinists in history who played at or exceeded Hahn's level of performance.
Fair enough, but IMHO Heifetz is less musical than Hahn. Oistrakh had more depth but less technical than the other two.
And by the way -- that's a really really unforgiving hall. Look how there is no real room projection.
It’s outdoors. Perhaps that’s why
the orchestra look tired😂
The recording is so bad, it sounds like a casserole... She plays wonderfully, though, as always.
So much white
držte si gatě, a nechte na hlavě☺
Am I the only one that feels like she kind of rushed in this performance

@@KoiYakultGreenTea yeah I guess
She did what the composer demanded and the conductor followed her, not the other around, absolutely
She isn't rushing, the orchestra is lagging.
Great performance but I do find it a bit racy. Not really my place to comment not being a musician but as a layman it seems a little rushed
Not so good sound at all, so this goes a long way from the normal standard of uptakings with Hilary Hahn. She plays as usual phenomenal, but the sound is lousy. Don´t listen to this!
Recording outdoors never works.
Raise the sound quality
Is good as she is in my opinion ..Nadia plays it much better
