- The tenth anniversary starts and ends with a blast!
In this special episode of Meet the Random Fortress, I shall unleash one last compilation of goofy gameplay clips as a celebration and as a memento.
All the clips have been recorded in Dispenz0r's Fun Server on varying dates. No client side mods.
Thank you once again for all the staff, members and viewers for making all this worthwhile through the years. Additional thanks to Neppu Tennouboshi for assistance in visualizing the thumbnail.

End of an era folks
10 years already? Time files so fast. Thanks for all the laughs from this series, Dr. Heavich
Nostalgia has ended after 11 years
So this is the end, huh? Never expecting one until it's there. Well, take care of yourself. And good luck with your new adventures!
Yes, the series ends with this video. I am not going anywhere though. I am most likely going to start uploading short videos more frequently.
@@FINHeavich oh, that's cool, is it gonna be TF2 still or you found some new fun stuff?
@@IvanezRus I am keeping the channel TF2 oriented, due to the subscribers. I am a bit unsure what to continue with though. Most likely testing out some new things this year along with old things, such as Heavy Rain style.
@@FINHeavich good to know. I would like to take this time to thank you for your hard work on the meet the Random Fortress series. I've watched every single one of them and have enjoyed the experience.
@@FINHeavich you could try reviewing tf2 maps and mods, new vscript stuff
It is sad day to see this end.
But it had big surprise.
NOT BIG SOUP RICE!
*Cries slowly*
This is not a childish imagination, I am actually crying in sadness because Meet the Random Fortress series ended.
Man, those closing words were very bitter-sweet, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't cry.
Here's to a new chapter in your book, Heavich! o7
1:05 HOLY SHIT IT ME
Even it was only for 12 seconds, I feel honored to be in a DFS video after a few years of discovery.
I wish great things to come to you, Dr Heavich :)
I never thought there would have been a new entry finalizing the series but I'm glad I'm alive to see it. Thank heavwich
THIS CANT BE THE END
Didn't think the saga would be finalized, but I'm glad to be alive to see it
Also the C&C Generals edit (1:13) made me lose it
Once, like 5-7 years I would say, I loved to play this server. so many fond memories of just little random events that occurred here sit in the back of my mind.
But as I grew older I forgot about the server (and tf2 as a whole basically) till about 3 months ago, and wondered what happened to it
So I joined the server again- It was the DFS Home default map, where most of my memories started with this server
it was completely empty.
Walking through the server with absolutely no one but me in a map once populated by huge numbers of players was... heartbreaking. Good to know they are burying the server finally..
glad I was part of this server, even if just as a one unnoticed player. thank you for the shitshow
I’m gonna miss this beautiful shitshow.
TF2 custom servers always provided a unique experience that you don't find often in online gaming. My moments among all the crazy madness and shenanigans that have ensued in these magical places are ones that I will always hold dearly in my heart.
Can’t believe how fast 10 years goes. Tf2 wouldnt be the same game to me without dispenz0r’s server or these videos. Really interested in seeing what else you’ve got in store for us!
This series is a testament to the beautiful chaos that TF2 is capable of. Thank you for this 10 year long series, Doc.
Ten years really went by so fast, but seeing you share all these memories has made it amazing. Thank you so much for making this series :3
I have always re-watched your Random Fortress Series and thanks for this 10 years and for the finale.
These videos brought me some great laughs on even my most downer of days. I wish you the best of luck moving forward.
Thank you, Heavich.
I've been reflecting on the past 10 years lately, and this video shows that I'm not alone with the passing of time, it's been a blast, honestly.
"Meet the Random Fortress" was one of my favorite series that not only introduced me to the most fun servers I had in the game, but also gave me interest on trying out TF2 myself. I enjoyed every minute on Dispenz0r server and parts of your series every time I run upon to. Thanks for sharing these moments with us!
Thank *you* for making these videos, without them I would have never found the server!
Met a lotta good people through it & I will certainly look back fondly on the memories made. ❤
thanks for all the memories, never got to experience the server at it's heyday but seeing the videos was still a great experience
It was super awesome to see my silly McDonalds TF2 map be a part of the final Meet the Random Fortress video. This series has been super fun, and was part of what got me REALLY into TF2. Thank you for all the laughs. We'll miss you, DFS.
Random Fortress series was one of contributions to my first TF2 experience, on the same level as TF2-Gmod golden era machinimas. Really hard to believe it was 10+ years ago. Thanks for making such a incredible piece of work! Also good luck with new things coming down the road!
Gonna miss these series, sadly, but everything good must come to an end sometime.
Your work was a part of my TF2 childhood, delightful job Dr.Heavich, take care.
Damn, haven't stepped foot in that server in 2 years. Many good memories there, but I've moved on. Thank you for the laughs and giving me an opportunity to make a lot of good friends at DFS, Dr. Heavich!
thank you dr heavich for your entertaining videos throughout the videos. you made some of the most creative and iconic videos for this community and i say that with truth. im already looking forward to what spicy future content u got for us in store!! c:
this series has bought me to tears with gut-busting, diaphragm-heaving laughter
maybe we'll see someone else take up the random fortress mantle
but for now, rest doctor heavich
Man, time flies. Thank you for all the laughs in those 10 years!
Im happy to have visited DFS because of these videos, every time I loaded in I had a good laugh. Its a true shame that its going away but I want to thank everyone for the few but amazing memories.
My god, I just recently got this recommended to my video. Ever since I started playing TF2 when I was 7 back in 2012 I'd always look forward to Meet the Random Fortress videos daily. Seeing it end hits really hard, but hell, we all grow up eventually. Thanks for the laughs, Heavich.
I remember this series from way back. I remember the super active fun servers that are now long gone.
Thank you, Heavich.
Your MTRF series are what made me download this game 9 years ago and I will forever thank you for that. I was sadly never able to experience DFS as showcased in these videos but thanks to its influence on community servers as a whole I had similar experiences in other servers.
This series had a good run, thank you for all of the childhood memories :)
Servers like DFS and videos like this are what made me the brainmelt of a person I am today. Though the server may die out, the memories and the weird sense of humor that lingered on after will still remain. Thank you Heavich, DFS and the people there for turning this game into a whole different experience altogether.
Wasn't been aware you uploaded the finale 3 months ago! I came from watching AxMan's "oh my god you're a spy!" and was reminded he made a.. well not a parody, moreso a tribute to random fortress (titled "Totally Not a Rip Off of Meet The Random 4tress") and it made me want to rewatch your classics
these videos, while some are better and funnier than others, is an absolute classic and always a blast to rewatch
wish you the best going forward, good Dr. Heavich
Even though the series is going to end, there's still a bright road ahead in the future!
Thanks for making the videos you do Heavich and I hope your happy with whatever you decide to do in the future!
First GmodTech, Hades' Underworld, then Medic & Friends, and now Dispenz0r's Fun Server.
All of my servers i loved that i used to play on almost a decade ago, being shut down one a time, seemingly 5-10 years after they were created.
I joined the DFS Steam Group 7 years ago only because i saw one of the Meet the Random Fortress videos, now after hearing of this news i will forever regret not playing this more back then.
Always a tragedy when i hear of another TF2 server that's actually good gets shut down out of nowhere, it always hurts. I will always miss the dead servers i used to have fun playing on.
R.I.P. Dispenz0r's Fun Server. You were just like the other servers that made TF2 good, and thus will be missed. :(
A beautiful ending, and I'm glad I was part of the server's journey (and the little credits flashback too!). I'll miss you all.
I am not immune to nostalgia. Thank you for this wacky series! I just realized that these videos are kinda special to me, considering that i spent my childhood playing on deathrun community servers instead of quickplay.
4:55 "I need some boys!"
Scout leader, is that you?
Glad to see it go off in a blaze of glory. A lot of these moments were very funny to watch especially the ones on the McDonald’s map and the traveling bus map
Watching this brought back some old memories from like 2013, on how all the servers back then were all “slightly” crazed with the inhabitants, maps, and the moronic plugins. Damn was it ever fun
I remember watching MTRF 3 back in middle school and as of now I’m getting a college education lol. Thanks for all the laughs man these were all fantastic.
This series got me into TF2. Which would later go onto be my favourite game of all time. Thank you so much for the memories!
Me being a kid, a tf2 fan, when I first watched this series, it was the hardest I ever laughed at any game related content. It's not an exaggeration to say it partially defined my sense of humor. Now more than ever we see comedic value being derived from absurdity with memes like "E" or a video of a "song but low quality" with a spinning compressed jpeg picture of demoknight etc. And I mean sure, with age these become progressively less funny, but it's nice to now and again return to your roots. Thanks, I'll see you around.
Godspeed Meet the Random Fortress.
You graced us all with laughter and shall be remembered in our hearts.
Thank you so much for making this series Dr. Heavich!
Over five years ago, I began playing TF2 then shortly introduced to DFS after seeing one of your Random Fortress videos and I cannot be more grateful after seeing the uniqueness of this server and the players met. But the bad part is, I didn't appreciate it enough for the fun I experienced and the work done to make it so, nor thankful for the series that let me see DFS, until now.
I thank you very much for this series and DFS whole for the wacky, stupid, funny moments that cannot be repeatable but will be preserved as memories! 🙏
Great videos whenever you upload, sad to see this series end, but it had a good run, cheers!
this probably has to be the best finale I ever seen for the series, literally a rampage on non sense and unbridled chaos right before your eyes cranked up to 10
I’ll never forget the one day I played on this server and about 6 of us launched to the floating palm tree as D.K and spammed the “Oh, Banana!” line. Such a goofy and fun server. I’ll miss it.
This Goofy Series is What Got Me Into TF2 in the First Place.
Thanks for the Memories and the Laughs.
i watched every Meet the Random Fortress videos for 10 years. and it was worth it, it was a damn great journey seeing these videos Dr. Heavich!!!!!! Long live Meet The Random Fortress Community :>
I'd like to send this series off with all of my gratitude. I never got to play tf2 growing up, especially during the games peak. You, this series, and plenty of other creators did manage to keep me entertained as if I really was playing despite that I wasn't.
I'm glad I can enjoy some pure, brain-liquefying nonsense one last time.
All good stories have an ending, and I'm glad to have been witness to the absolute silliness. :3
I have many fond memories of DFS. It allowed me to meet a lot of fun people. Some of whom I still talk with to this day. If it wasn't for this series I would have never found DFS. Thanks for everything Doc. Good luck on whatever your doing next.
I remember going onto these servers with a computer that could barely handle it, and I always binge watched the series when I was taking a break from TF2.
May the future hold well for you, Dr. Heavich. And thank you for the awesome memories.
I know that it's been 11 months, but this is perfect. Watched this series since 2015, and it was pure, glittering, glimmering, shiny, bright gemerald
I had a great time and I was so happy for this series thank you..
Wow… it feels like I really missed the train on this. What chaotic fun this all must’ve been,
I strongly regret never seeing this sooner. This seems like something I would’ve loved to have been part of, and even though this is the first time I’ve ever seen it- I also feel emotional that it’s ended,
Ten years of this sort of crazy fun is an amazing feat, and I’m glad for everyone who’s been part of it
I like the way you choose music. Especially the tracks from Crash Bandicoot. Very cool
this server is so cursed... but in a good way! i need to join you again once a while!
no matter how crazy or """funny""" other tf2 youtubers try to claim their gameplay compilations are, nothing has ever come even close to this artistic level of chaotic tf2 footage that this series managed to achieve
Damn.
Who knew that a video that made me laugh the entire way through could make me emotional in the last few minutes...I'm gonna miss this series, but it's been a fun ride, and we've all gotta get off at some point. Glad we got off on a high one!
It was a great ride and wacky as it was but.
Great memories and still amazing stuff over your random clips.
It's been a wild ride Heavich, thank you for all the laughs
It sure is weird coming back after 4 years to find the series ended. Some of the funniest things I've seen in all my gaming years.
It's sad to see DFS and random fortress end, It really was a fun ride. To me, servers like DFS were the soul of TF2. I used to rewatch these episodes a lot throughout the years and I will keep coming back and keep rewatching them with smile on my face for the years to come. Thank you for putting up all this amazing content and intruducing me to DFS all those years ago. It will stay in my memories forever.
Today 8 years ago, I watched RF for the first time and was instantly hooked. Plus it was a good way to laugh during Uni studies. Now, 8 years to the day since I first found them, I found the finale. Farewell Random Fort and DFS. You shall be missed.
Hard to believe it's already over. The series AND the server. I wish I'd seen this was the end sooner...but either way, it's been a pleasure going on this journey with each and everyone who attended that server. Here's to a bright future ahead, with whatever projects you decide to do. All these random moments are something to treasure for years to come...and lord knows I'll never forget them.
Dispenzor, Heavich, Axman...thank you for everything. Godspeed.
Random Fortress Forever!!!💙
This marks the end of the era
It also seems to mark the end of a certain part of my life
Thank you for good memories
I wasn't expecting this to happen, but it's better to leave with a great bang. Thanks for entertaining me as a teenager all those years ago.
See you, space cowboy.
Thank you for this videos
I've been watching this series for what seemed like an eternity, and I'm honored to have one of my maps featured for a few seconds in the finale. That exploding floor seen around 0:40 was from my Absolute Muppet map. Too bad you couldn't see Tutter...
Finally found these old videos that i loved to watch
welp, looks like the series is coming to an end hope to see more fun videos made by you man!
You're a little fairy for our community, thank you so much for making these comedy masterpieces.
Iz noice finale for this series to come to a close
Now I Imagine you cramming all of them into one big movie/compilation
That heavy with the eyes popping out looked like homer’s head getting sucked from a black hole in that treehouse of horror episode with the 3D realm😂😂
I swear I subconsciously thought about the same thing.
Thanks for the memories, Dispenz0r
Random Fortress for me like Soldier Dispenser saga - pure postmodern (good) surreal art!
Its normal that artwork have endings, and im really glad see it how its completed.
Thank you Dr.Heavich for all this days that you created MtRF!
It still feels like just yesterday when dispenzors server was just a small group of memers, dreamers and goofballs. Whenever I'd pop in there, I always had a blast, even though I didn't have a lot of time to do so. Not gonna lie, I'm thankful for the time I did have there, even those quiet moments when no one was on. Godspeed, you magnificent bastards, it's been one hell of a ride.
Damn. This server must've been one hell of a ride to play.
I remember subscribing after the first one of these...sad to see it go but its been a fun ride.
Man, this series shapeshifted my humor into complete shit.
I'll proudly never forget it, thanks Heavich.
Holy shit, you are alive!
Perkele!
I'm gonna miss these video's, now I regret not playing in this server while it was still active.
It was fun while it lasted, take care of yourself!
I will cherish it forever, thank you for everything.
5:14 Demosatan jumpscare (Yep, that’s me.)
Fun fact: the Death Stare I have is a Strange one
So it seems that we have come to our final stop, old friend. I joined DFS when I was 13 in 2014, and I was optimistic and egotistical and then disappeared for a few years as my laptop had died at the time.
When I returned, I was changed, both physically and mentally. It only took a year after my return in 2017 that I became a moderator, and it grand time having met every one of you on this journey. Smashing each other, beating each other and all that sort of deal. We've been through a lot, hardships, victories and our fair bit of tomfoolery.
I wish we could have experienced more memories together, but this is where I get off. See you on the other side.
Like the drip or drown series that Samwiz1 has done and good things must come to an end, and the memories cherish forever. Let’s all look towards a bright future for all of us.
I wish I could've seen this sooner, but alas, all good things must come to an end.
The most incredible and random saga in TF2 has come to an end. Although it's a little sad, but memories of these 10 years of the most beloved TF2 videos will remain forever in my heart
it is NOW safe to say , Adding Vscript to team fortess 2 was one of the best updates ever.
That was really cool. I had no Idea some of these things could be done in TF2, I really wish I joined more servers since 2018.
I wish i still have fun tf2 like my early years when i played. Almost 10 years since i started play tf2 it's was good experince (in second try, because i very confused at community server especially idle). DFS was fun time back like i'm not sure i remember well 2016 probably. The last years was hard.
Thank you, Heavich for making Random Fortress, it was funniest gameplay to watch.
And DFS server.
After over 10 years, this saga comes to an end
I will miss those :c
thank you for your videos that I watched 10-9 years ago. As a kid, it was fun and idk how to speak English at that time and didn't know the game because I'm russian. Started playing TF2 in 2015, had some friends who are offline rn, it was a great time for me, until Valve didn't give us an update, because the game is old and maybe it will die. This is sad ik, but remember that the game is 15-16 years old. That's all for now. Thank you for the childhood.
Servers like this are absolutely the heart of TF2. Sad to see it go, but I understand. Hosting servers cost money and people lose interest. But I'm still glad that I was around to experience it in its prime.
I'm so gonna miss this series of MTRF.
Even a year later, I miss the time to just go to the place, goof off and do whatever I wanted, explore maps and move on to the next thing on the day. It's still wierd to know it's really over
