- Welcome to another exciting episode of Station Rigs on Heroes Next Door! In this episode, we take a closer look at the 2017 Dodge 2500 Brush Truck, a vehicle designed with simplicity and functionality in mind. There are no fancy compartments here, just specifically in-house designed storage in the bed of the truck, and it's exactly what the UpperCo Volunteer Fire Department needed after a recent merger.
UpperCo Volunteer Fire Department was formed by the merger of two dedicated departments, the Boring Fire Department and the Arcadia Vol Fire Department. This union required an upgraded fleet and the retirement of an "antique" brush truck. Join us as we explore how this new Dodge 2500 Brush Truck is ready to handle the combined area and the unique needs of the community.
Former Fire Chief and now current Public Information Officer (PIO), Scott Warner, guides us through this remarkable unit. He not only puts the Dodge into service but also introduces us to its little brother, their ATV brush unit, showcasing the versatility of the department's resources.

DODGE THE FATHER RAM THE DAUGHTER
Its always interesting seeing Wildland/Brush units from the north east. They are so much different than what we run down south. The brush trucks down here almost all have custom beds with standing firefighting positions on them for quick attack. Highly recommend coming to a dept down here in Texas.
Definitely need to come see the latest brush trucks rolling out on the west coast. Hands down the coolest setups I’ve seen from neighboring departments. My department favors type 3s, 4s and type 6s.

In my district we are running a type 3 CalFire spec and type 6's.
our brush truck that runs first due was custom built by our current chief. has a flatbed body with compartments and a 300 gallon tank
100 gallons is a pretty low amount of water for a brush truck. You would go through that pretty quick. The average brush truck carriers at least 250 gallons around my area (mid-Michigan). That's a beautiful station for a volunteer department. Not sure how they couldn't afford full time personnel given the amount of money they have in the station and equipment.
Yall should do a station cribs and station rigs at Port Chester NY of the Harry Howard hook & ladder Co. As well as the rescue company

@@chrisbarr6260 not sure we filmed a TON of stuff over the past couple months. I would have to check the schedule and how each edit is going. Just watch each week like you have and you’ll get the station of your choice.

The real king of brush trucks are the type 6 ones out here in cali some of the most bad ass ones you’ll see
Wow, nice Station and great looking equipment. The Brush and Utility rigs are not Dodge, they are RAM's. Since 2009 the Dodge - RAM names split. I have a 2015 RAM 2500 Diesel PU similar to the Brush shown but still call it a Dodge too, even though it is not!
