Sadly I'm having some issues with seeds and most have rotted :(( Never had that happen so I'm still trying to figure out a reason. On the other hand the one in fern mix are pushing out their first leaves! :D
@@adansoniia it started with my anthurium Bakeri self pollinating itself. One day I looked at it and say berries…it was the wildest thing. It was soooo small too. There essentially was no peduncle 🤣 now I’m trying to get my Clarnervium to self pollinate but am so clueless
Excited to see how the bbs develop! Have you ever tried propagation/seed starting in vermiculite? I've found it holds water and nutrients much better and longer than perlite, and is much easier to remove from roots than moss!
Uff me too! I think if we're lucky we could get some dark bois down the line :D For vermiculite no, I personally have never tried it. Vermiculite does break down much faster so I suppose that plays a role. If i get a chance I'd try it out :)

Thanks for the great video! Do you fertilize the seeds in spaghnum? If so, from what point in time? Do you wait for the seed to come loose? And what fertilizer do you use for spaghnum?
Hi atm no I'm not really fertilizing them in spag. In the past I used to do it with Gold Leaf, but I had issuses since I was getting some weird stem rot (not saying the fertilizer was an issue, but I'm not doing it anymore). If I have some root booster that's left from watering my regular plants, I'd dillute it very much and give it to them a bit. Ideally after 2-3 leaves you pot them up in seperate pots and soil and start fertilizing from there slowly!
Your Sphagnum moss looks so clean. Do you sift through it and clean out all the non-Sphagnum moss stuff (like little sticks etc.), or does it come 100% clean? If so, can you tell me where you get it from? Because so far I've ordered from 3 places, all of them say "premium" and all of them are full of sticks etc.
I'm using Spagmoss (www.welovehouseplants.be/en/spagmoss-classic-40-liter-500gr.html). Yeah it's more on the expensive side but the quality is next level. Its nicely coloured, fluffy with a lot of fibers, minimal debreee (you can still get sticks here and there). Previously I was using cheap spagh from ebay and quality really was... The one from ebay is great for moss poles and such, since you use bigger quantities. But for any props where I need the "cleanest/closest to sterile" Spagmoss wins!
Yeah have had the proble, usually I rub it off. I've found it grows if there are remains of berry pulp still on the seeds. I very rarely get it growing on the seed.
I've gotten this question several times ;-; as mentioned it depends on location. and there is no fixed answer. You can make your own via pollination. You can buy them on any platforms plants are bing sold: FB, IG, ebay, you name it. Some shops have started selling them as well. You can have nice friends that made seeds and share it with them.
@@Stavrian-d5v Hmmm...It may be your best bet to check out some nurseries near you. If there are any reputable online plant nurseries, you can contact them and ask if they have some. It would be better just to buy an anthurium seedLING as they are more readily available. Sorry I couldn't help much!

In that scenario i think aroid mix - but I had issues with some weird rot, so the experiment would need to be done again!

Usually they start turning green and pushing out new roots in few days!
Do you have any updates on these seeds? Also, have you had any problems with mold? Mine have some on them, and I'm not sure how to remove it 😕
