I put mine up on November 10th! It took about 10 minutes. I haven't had a tree the last couple of years, and I kept only my very favorite items. They are more winter-themed than Christmas specific, so I can enjoy them longer.
Yes! I always decorate when Advent starts (the fourth sunday before christmas). I was so thrilled to see your video, I found your channel through last year‘s one 😊 you inspired me to rethink what I own! I really enjoy your approaches 😄
I like how you move the tree it different locations each year. I am surprised that you aren't using a real tree... I do love the idea of storing all of your decor in an old suitcase. A tip on plaid fabric: I've cut it into long strips and use it like ribbon making it go a very long way.
Thank you for your inspiration. I have a beautiful real Xmas tree with home-dried slices of orange hanging on cotton twine and goose feathers as snow. (I opened up one of my pillows and sewed it close again.) The LED lights I will keep. Everything else I can burn in a fire in January.
I absolutely love your Christmas decor as well as all your beautiful rustic and old pieces. They bring so much character to your beautiful home. The plaid cushions turned out great and will be easy to store later. We usually put our tree up at the beginning of December so I guess that’s pretty soon.
I don't even have a tree first because of space but now I kinda liked not messing with it. And I don't have littles. At first I was gonna suggest those pine smelling sticks for your tree but you could probably make something from any outdoor stuff you have. Yay for the straight line seamstresses of the world.
We have an every other year gift giving tradition - which allows us to be more intentional about and afford higher quality when we purchase gifts for the ‘on’ years. ❤️
Your house looks so beautiful! Good idea with the plaid fabric, i may do the same. Thanks for sharing. Have a Merry Christmas with you beloved family 🧚♂️🧚♀️💥
Love your peaceful decorations. Just put identical nativity set on our mantle over weekend. Your videos are so well constructed and come across as patient. I can literally hear myself take a breath as you are speaking. So grateful how you bless my life. Am a newer viewer and appreciate your gentle perspective. Best wishes to you and yours this beautiful month.🌸🌿
When do you film these videos with your kids and job? Also I’d love a video on how you manage parenting, daily routines etc. I only have one four year old and get so tired despite our easy life.
Do you have any idea what the green bottle across from the J was from? The one with the sort of circular bottom? I have one as well, and I know it is more than 100 years old, but curious about possible origins. Lol.
Have you put up your Christmas Decor yet?

I put mine up Thanksgiving night. I set it out while my husband was asleep so he wouldn't protest.😅

Usually December 1st for my family here in the uk 🇬🇧 xx
Wow! That’s quick! We had more of a winter theme last year, which we left up until March! Happy holidays! ❤️
I love the idea of using real pumpkins and leaves for fall instead of having to store things! I need to try that next year.
I love your decorations 🥰🎄. You have timeless pieces that look beautiful 🥰🥰
Thank you so much! ❤️

Our artificial tree has been in my family for years and is very special to me! ❤️ great tip on the ribbon strips! ❤️

Ha Ha! My skills at sewing are limited but I’m happy I at least know how to do that! It comes in handy sometimes! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Very pretty. So many unique but easy ways to decorate.
Thank you! ❤️
Wow. Super impressed by the things you use for decorating your home. Like the frames and baseboard piece. And your holiday decor is ideal!
Thanks so much! ❤️

Thank you so much! I hope you have a wonderful holiday season as well! ❤️
Beautiful!! I love your taste in decor.
Awe, thank you so much! ❤️
Your home is so lovely and open! How do you deal with Christmas gifts and being a minimalist?
We have an every other year gift giving tradition - which allows us to be more intentional about and afford higher quality when we purchase gifts for the ‘on’ years. ❤️
I wrapped plaid fabric around clear craft acrylic ornaments and tied with twine or you can put fabric inside the ornaments.
I thought about doing that too! Saw something similar on the pottery barn website - but I ran out fabric! ❤️

Awe, thank you so much! I love that you have the same nativity set. It is so simple and beautiful! ❤️
Beautiful. Did you put up your lovely painting of the skater's?
We hung that on our stair landing for now! After Christmas is over I will switch to a more ‘winter’ theme and bring it into the main living space! ❤️
It looks beautiful
Thank you! ❤️

Well my kids are older now and don’t require me nearly as much as they did when they were 4! Ha ha! ❤️
Two year olds are the hardest! When you have more kids the older ones help.play with the 2 year olds in the family as they are born and grow!!
Yes! It has gotten so much easier as the kids have grown and started pitching in!

I don’t! I was thinking maybe some sort of mouthwash or something like that?
