Nissan Navara D22 A/C Fan Speed Repair
Вставка
- Опубліковано 19 жов 2021
- An easy fix to restore all speeds on D22 Navara AirCon. If your fan speeds are only working on some of the speeds, the Fan resistor is likely at fault. This repair cost a little over $20 and took less than half an hour to complete using basic tools. Although the positioning was a little awkward it was a very simple task that anyone can do.

Good one mate, back up and running keeping the kids cool👌
Excellent 👍🏻 great to hear
Reubs! Your a bloody legend. Been dealing with only one speed for over a year now. Took me 20 minutes to fix it with your advice. Cheers mate
Excellent to hear 👍🏻 thanks mate
just bought myself a d22 and had that problem so definitely going to be doing this at some point, thanks for the videos of the d22 very helpful
That’s awesome mate, glad these videos are helpful 👍🏻
Great video. Saw this a couple of months ago.
Had the same problem a year ago.
Also worth noting for others that a worn or tight fan blower motor can also cause the resistor to fail as it pushes too much current and blows.
I found this out after the new one also failed and took the motor out and replaced it too with the new one.
Cheers for the vid for all 👍🏻
Thanks mate great info I haven’t heard that about the blowers but good to know 🤙🏻
Legend. Been putting this off for ages until I saw this. Just ordered hopefully goes this smoothly ✌️
Awesome to hear mate hopefully it goes smoothly
Done and dusted. Can’t believe I went without AC for nearly 3yrs. Thanks again mate
@@steadlyentertainment ripper mate 🤙🏻 glad it was helpful
G'day mate
Thanks for the video on dash lights
It helps me seeing the Nav dash good in 6 years
Cheers Asha 👍
Glad it worked out mate awesome to hear 🤙🏻
Great video mate, would’ve helped me mega back in the day
Thanks mate appreciate the feedback 🤙🏻
That’s so bizarre - I literally just had the same thing happen to mine, would only work on high or # 4 speed.
Got to love eBay, good clip mate
Thanks mate, I’m surprised mine hasn’t failed yet as it’s a 2005 and has seen a fair bit of water. Can’t argue with such a cheap and easy fix though 🤙🏻
Awesome fixed the issue
Great to hear 👍🏻
Great video mate.
Thanks mate 🤙🏻
Thank you mate, very helpful.
No problem 👍 Glad it helped
G'day mate

But it still working
Keep it up mate Cheers Asha 🍻
That’s awesome how did you manage to fix it? Just clean off the contacts?

Hi mate
It had a short on card stayed on high speed
Solid it and still working
Hi. This is an excellent video. My fan is only working on top speed so will definitely be doing this soon. A more immediate problem has presented itself. Today when I got home, I turned the car off, then put the key to the on position to put the windows up (without starting the engine) and a loud noise came from the engine bay. I found comments on a forum which suggest it's likely the 3-way vacuum t valve that fails pretty often toward the front of the engine compartment toward the right, not the vacuum pump itself. The initial poster came back and said he replaced that and it fixed the problem. Have you worked on that at all? My Navara is a D22 2002 model for reference
Thanks mate, I haven't had issues with the vacuum system or had any parts fail however if it has failed and is now causing a vacuum leak you can test the area with smoke or mist to see if it is pulled toward to suspected failed part. This might help you to locate the fault.
@@ReubsModifications Thank you. Strangely, it hasn't happened since so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it might be okay
Thanks for your vid. Did you have to clear check engine light also?
Nope, from memory I don't think this fault causes the check engine light 👍
Great video, I have a problem with my nissan pickup where the blower speed does not work on 2 and 3, but 1,4 works. Would this be the part that may be the problem or would it be the switch? Switch 2 is intermittent, if I played around with the button, it tends to work intermittent.
Could be early warning signs of this part failing. Usually the fan only works on speed 4 however id say this will be the same issue.
The blower on my d22 stopped working today, it only blows in 4 (but barely) when i drive with high rpm, can this be the problem?
Yes this is likely the problem
Thanks for the video mate, 100% the issue ive just come up against... clicked you link for the part on ebay and says 2005 is the last model they are compatible for... mines a 2009. You mentioned yours was 2014ish... still the right part as the link? cheers mate
No worries mate 👍🏻 Should be the same part the navara I was working on was a 2012 model so it should be right.
Hi gents, can you please share the link again. I have a 2013 with this exact problem … this should do the trick
I can not get the back screw out! It’s so frustrating 😂 any tips
Depends on what tools you have available
@@ReubsModifications yea fair enough
@@jackospearo if you can get your hands on one try a flexible drive extension, they’re kind of like a universal joint but slimmer and longer 👍🏻
@@ReubsModifications yea ok thanks
would this also be the cause of it no working all together?
Possibly, however most commonly it will work on max speed 👍🏻
Do you know if the D40 is the same? We have the same issue.
Hey mate I can’t say for sure but I’d say it’s very likely that Nissan has used the same components on both navaras. I’d suggest before buying the replacement part, remove the suspected faulty one and see if it looks the same 👍🏻
Thanks mate
I just done this repair but it still doesn't work.
Is the fan working on any speeds?
No it just died on me the other week, 4 was the only speed then that cut out as well
@@kohdynrapana9139 I’d check fuses first but maybe the fan itself has broken
