      ZBB is really a rock band that was forced into the “Nashville System”. That’s why literally 40% of their live show is covers. If you listen to their covers you can see what they’d actually like to be playing.

    All of the misdirected hostility in this thread is ridiculous. It’s safe to say that most of you are not musicians...cause everyone knows that musicians pay their dues by playing covers. You play songs that appeal to both you and the audience and slowly start to find your own voice. This performance isn’t a faithful rendition of the originals...it isn’t meant to be...no more than Hetfield doing Waylon’s Don’t you Think was meant to be a carbon copy. It’s done for fun, for Pete’s sake!
    I was actually pretty impressed by this myself. I’ve always like ZBB, but seeing them stretch and show some of their influence has made me appreciate them a bit more!

      You know, what is missed is its all country and blues. If there was a miss, it was the Nashville sound, which put handcuffs on the musicians. I used to think the rockers and the country artists would have a shootout, if ever in the same room. Instead, they were hanging out with each other. Most of the original rock and roll guys ended up country, because that was what they were. The next wave trended that way as well. Look at Brown and imagine him on a country stage 40 years ago.

    I think back to the 80's when Metallica were still the shit! when they were the biggest metal band who never had a song on the radio because their music was too hardcore. and now country bands are saluting them. we really are in the future! so awesome!

    • @vinnielalumia

      Scott Thomas this is from the 90’s when they were all over the radio. Much more than this nobody

    • @scottthomas9391
      @scottthomas9391 5 років тому

      @@vinnielalumia I know that. I'm making a contrast between the time this song came out when Metallica was on top of the world and in the 80's when they were actually just as popular but not mainstream so they had hits but no radio stations would play them, but they play them now. Fade to Back and Master of Puppets were considered too hardcore in the 80's and the first time Metallica made a music video was the song One.

      I went to this country music concert or festival back i n 2010 with my wife and daughter. I started raising up and down on my toes rapidly because I'd just gotten diagnosed with vascular disease and and my feet had swelled up and fell asleep. The singer stopped and accused me of assaulting my own daughter and I was grabbed up by this big fucking security and tossed over the rail and taken to the parking lot. I guess she must have thought I was dry humping a teenage girl from the angle, but we were just squished together on the floor. It was such a shame that I didn't make it to see Taylor Swift give one of her last true country music performaces...not really. I know someone has it up on UA-cam probably, or Watchmojo has probably made a show out of it.
