But there is a cheapest and simple way to get rid of the stain at very low cost and free from chemicals! All you need are baking soda and vinegar!

After the baking soda and vinegar dried out you want to hoover the area. Not brushing it again. The baking soda and vinegar dissolved the dirt from fibers and re-compacted on the surface. That’s your chance to take them out the carpet. Brushing it again with more water will simply push the dirt deeper. Aesthetically pleasing but the dirt is just hidden now.

@@Ausfilsimplelife I guess my carpet is dirtier than I thought. It worked on one side of the room. But on the other side. Ma'am you still look like he hasn't been cleaned in years. So thank you for your help because it did work it's just that my carpet has never really been cleaned since I've been here in this house.

how would you get rid of the vinegar smell? does the water wash it away?
In my experience the smell of vinegar didn’t retain, probably it evaporates with the water

Haven’t tried those products, as I only use vinegar and bicarbonate soda for wine stain and dirt stain. You can try vinegar and bicarbonate soda on your carpet leave for longer and maybe put some lemon juice to eliminate the stinky smell, bicarbonate soda helps to eliminate the smell. Hope this will work for you.

I've tried this before but couldn't seem to get all the baking soda out of the carpet ...is that just not scrubbing it enough? Is anyone else getting soda residue?
You can vacuum the carpet once it is dry to get the soda residue. Hope this will help
@@Ausfilsimplelife I've done that in the past but never could get all the soda out. Maybe that's due to it being an old and low pile carpet or not sure. Anyway, I'm finding that a 75%:25% vinegar to water ratio works best...there's a different scrubbing routine involved with damp towels.

Based on my experience the vinegar smell seems to be gone after you brush in the water and allow to evaporate.

Vander Quillte for me not really that bad vinegary smell as you brush it with water, the smell doesn’t stays long.
