    Thanks for the vid!!!! Very helpful replacing both left arms! Might want to mention that you need to put the front shoulder joint (?) in the half way position when reinstalling to preload it. Also I found if you pry up slightly on the ears (?) at the rear of the top shell, it comes off MUCH more easily.

    • @SuperAirman24
      @SuperAirman24 4 роки тому +1

      hi mate, can you please run me through this half way position? like does the armm need to be in the open position? also what are you using to turn the joint. ive been stuck for a long time now. thanks

    • @fishesfromtupperware
      @fishesfromtupperware 4 роки тому

      @@SuperAirman24 The rotation shaft is the little silver "can" with black plastic tee on the top (looks like a servo arm) You can see him pushing it out at (3:34) and the other arm's joint is on the table near his middle finger knuckle. Its the pivot and connection point for the front arms.
      Hold the "can" gently with a pair of pliers and with another pair to hold the arm. Rotate it gently and you'll feel it lock into position every 180 degrees. By "halfway" I mean the point between locking positions. It'll hold itself there if you're careful. Then install it on the drone with the arm partially open (it only fits one way) and push it down onto the tits where the black arm seats.
      Clear as mud huh? I've got one coming in tomorrow and I'll post a vid. If pictures are worth a thousand words and a vid is at least 10k. cheers

    Nice video thanks! I have been doing some comparisons between US and EU model to find out the ADS-B hardware. I cannot find anything different between the two models. As per DJI, US models come with ADSB rf circuit and additional antenna and a different ESC powerboard

    Hello, very good video, I have a big doubt, I want to know if you know where exactly the compass is located in the Mavic Air 2, I had a similar doubt with the compass of the Mavic Air v1 and after investigating more than 6 I was able to confirm that it was located in the main board, that is, it is integrated with the board. Do you know if the same thing happens with the Mavic Air 2 version? Thank you

    Very thorough tutorial! One question, will any disassembled part require a calibration with special software after everything is put back together?

    • @AudioStorm1980
      @AudioStorm1980 2 роки тому

      I believe that all the calibration needed is the one where u turn the drone.

    Question about the bottom cover on the Mavic air 2...
    There are two round sensors on each side of the LED.
    When you take the bottom cover off, do those have glass in them or are they just empty holes?
    In other words, is there supposed to be glass covering the glass sensors?
    Thanks

    What are the blue things on the bottom shell towards the rear? I’m not talking about the LED lights or the sensors but the mirror-like things

    what type of motor is it? Schematics?? size and power??

    • @droneoptix5218
      @droneoptix5218  3 роки тому

      its a brushless motor DJI do not release schematics, if the USA push the right to repair bill and legislate we may get some then, size and power can be found in the specs of the drone on the DJI website :)

      Yeah, if people want to see that in a future video please like this comment or add another comment and if we get enough requests we'll make one. These videos are pretty expensive to make though as they take a lot of time to do properly - this one took about 15 hours!

    Where is the Compas located?

  • @artemkhol7321

    Hi DroneOptix, thank you for this guideline. Really appreciate.
    I have some questions. Basically, due to new European regulations, I need to decrease 570 grams weight of the Mavic Air 2 to 500 grams. I have an idea to get rid of avoidance sensors (Front,Down,Rear). Related to the above, the questions as follow:
    1. Is there a chance to measure the weight of each module are shown in the video:
    - Front vision module (2:27)
    - Down vision module (1:02)
    - Rear vision module(4:10)
    2. What are the parts may be considered as redundant? Just in case if avoidance sensors will not cut 70 grams.
    3. In case I remove 3 mentioned modules and disable the avoidance sensors in the setting of the app. Would it be working fine?
    4. Is the a chance to remove - Rear vision module(4:10) without unsoldering work?
    Thank you a lot for any information. it will help me a lot to make a decision. I believe for many people in Europe that would be helpful, due to the new European restrictions (valid from 1 July 2020) with drones above 500 grams.
    Thank you a lot

    • @droneoptix5218
      @droneoptix5218  4 роки тому +1

      Sorry, but we don't have all of the parts in stock right now to carry out that weighing. We also don't know if the drone will still work without those sensors, but it should.

    at 0.18 timeline, when you remove the bottom, do you see sealing to those screws to prevent unauthorised unscrewing so that once remove, warranty will be void? I suffer warranty void because of simply accusation of missing seal caused by me.
