Thank you so much. After DJI telling me that the new gimbal and camera I installed on my mavic air 2 can not be calibrated and they would have to put a new one in at cost of $390 I was not happy . Having just spent $300+ on new camera and gimbal I was now being told only a new unit from DJI would work. I took my drone and headed home. That's when I found your video and 2 hours later I was in the air again with smile on my face. Thank you thank you thank you. Arron Lewis

Very clear and step by step and the walkthrough went exactly as you have shown. Cant thank you enough. I can live with the Incompatible gimbal message as it will help tell which one I'm flying! Now to tell the wife......
Sincere thanks for your work on this video. My dad came to me with his Mavic Air 2 with the original gimbal pointing down at around 45 deg. An in app calibration showed the gimbal level and then dropped again to 45 deg after the calibration. Your video pointed me to the resources and your step by step gave me the confidence that this was the right option to try. This fixed the gimbal issue first try and my Dad is super happy!
WOW!!! After MONTHS of taking apart and rebuilding the new gimbal over and over... this FINALLY WORKED!! Note: I did this on a Mavic Mini, and needed to unplug and reboot the Mavic several times throughout the process. The windows 10 machine wasn't recognizing it as a COM port USB device after a few seconds. I had to remove the SD card from the Mavic, and then reboot the mavic, and would only have a few short seconds with the computer seeing it in "Com3". So we had to apply both lines of code separately. Rebooting the Mavic in between. BUT IT WORKED. I have a persistent "Gimbal Calibration Error" on my DJI app now. But the automatic calibration does successfully complete (after previously getting endlessly stuck at 10%) I'M VERY VERY HAPPY. Thank you.
there is a catch with mavic mini with FW 1.xxx.500 as it exposes itself on com port only for a few seconds after bootup and connecting to the PC. So keep the device manager open to get the COm port number and launch the command line in the moment it exposes itself. This helped me to get my replacement gimball centered again! Great thanks for and congrats to this didactically great tutorial video!
Hi! Exactly! I follow step by step all, but i can't find the com port number in mavic mini 1. I can't detect any variation in device manager after bootup and connecting to the PC. Then i'have a error: could not open port "com 3": FileNotFoundError
THE FIX FOR MINI 2 Hi first of all ,thank you for your video, which was very useful and all sorted now,the bird is flying, without its eyes leaning on one side lol . (FOR DJI MINI 2 OWNERS) That’s how I managed to fix mine yesterday 17-10/2022. First of all you need to check if the COM PORT is visible in task manager task manager if you use windows. It’s most likely won’t be there because of windows updates etc . That’s the fix If the details of your COM ports are not visible in the Device Manager, open Device Manager and click on “Action” from the menu bar. Select the “Add legacy hardware” option, then click Next. Choose the “Install the hardware that I manually select from a list (Advanced)” option, and click Next. Then click communication port and ok .Back in task manager ,you’ll see com port visible now and it might says ,port won’t function properly, just ignore it . Now connect your drone to the computer/laptop,go on task manager, click on com ports ,you will see two ports ,mine was showing COM 4 and virtual Dji USB port (com 3) ,you will use the one for Dji only ,which is COM3 . Leave your drone connected to your laptop. Go in notepad and save this (ps your port com might be different to mine ,check what’s showing in you task manager, that’s the one you’ll be using): 1/ py comm_og_service_tool.py --port com3 WM160 GimbalCalib JointCoarse 2/ py comm_og_service_tool.py --port com3 WM160 GimbalCalib LinearHall Now you follow the UA-cam videos and install everything as stated (Python,PY serial,Dji tools etc) Now go in command prompt C:\WINDOWS\system32>cd.. (click enter) C:\windows>cd.. (click enter) C:\>cd\dji C:\DJI>py setup.py install Wait for it to install…. Then : C:\DJI> py comm_og_service_tool.py --port com3 WM160 GimbalCalib JointCoarse (click enter ) and you’ll see the gimbal moving Next : C:\DJI> py comm_og_service_tool.py --port com3 WM160 GimbalCalib LinearHall (click enter) and wait ,and you’ll be all good to go . Disconnect the drone ,connect to you phone ,calibrate imu ,calibrate the gimbal, and enjoy your flight . Ps I still get error message(Code:40021 and Code :40011) but it didn’t affect my flight .
Hi. Thanks a lot. It solved my problem!!! I got two errors but who cares, gimbal works perfect!!! I have a mini 2 and use de mini 1 code. Everything worked flawless! To those whom has this question or doubt, go ahead and be happy!!!
So what is exactly is wrong with yours, because the problem I'm having with mine is when I fly it in regular mode or sport mode it it's shift to the left and the right it's never even with the horizon and I really need to fix this problem
I have the same problem with the mini 2 drone, but I cannot calibrate it from this video, I get an error com_og_service_tool_py: error : argument product : invalid choise com5 ( choise from A2 P330 ........ Please i need help
@@Deair2201 i have the same problem with MM2 after calibration. I assume that the problem comes from using MM1 code for calibrating MM2. Hopefully they’ll update the code soon with new MM2 SDK. The horizon problem comes from gimbal being pointed a little bit to right or left after calibration. Try manually adjusting the gimbal by 0.2 to 0.5 degrees. You need to do it once and the drone always remembers the adjustment . Hope this helps
YES!!!!! Thank you Thank you THANK YOU!!!! I was ready to buy another gimbal thinking the one I got was bad. Someone who saw my video on how to replace the gimbal for a mavic mini, saw the problem I was having after the repair. He found your video and someone else's video which is just about the same, but different ways of getting to the folders. This was a big help. Only issue I had when follwing both of your steps, is that I was doing it on my desktop. The front USBs are really just part of a USB hub, and just showed a drive, and not a com port. After I figured that out and plugged it in the back USB, it pushed the calibration onto the Mini. Rebooted the mini, and took a quick flight inside, and it's like NEW again. Thank you!!
@@jillsabo5973 USB on laptop are usually part of the motherboard. When I use my Lenovo all I do it plug it in and in the device manager under Ports (COM & LPR) I see the port number. I turn on the mini then plug it in to the USB.
Thanks a lot, my drone is working fine again !, just to add for Mavic Mini so you can see the com port you have to shutdown your drone after turn it on again and connect it in less than 20 seconds. hope it is helpful for you guys.
Thanks so much for making this video. I am IT illiterate and still don't know how all of the instructions came together to make it work. You are an AWESOME teacher for me to follow your instructions and success.
I know this is an old video but I'm looking for some help. I followed your instructions perfectly. On the very last step in the command prompt, it will not let me install the py. Install. ... it says module not found error
I found that installing python 3.9.0 (like in the video) instead of the most recent version allowed me to install. Hope this can still be of some help! @bcinm1 @ChaserProductions
just succeed with a rebuild gimball (electronic changed, water damaged) on a mavic 2 pro (and no errors present !!!) Thanks for this super tutorial ! You saved my drone !
Very good instructional video Ash! Best I have seen on the web, you didn’t miss a step! Too bad DJI isn’t making parts available to the people buying their products. I regret buying the mavic air 2 just for this fact and will look for other manufacturers in the future. I hope others will see the light and inform their friends that DJI is not a good company to deal with and only cares about the money you give them. Sad, great drone but it will crash so don’t buy it, you won’t be able to get parts to fix it. Shame on DJI.
Well done indeed Ash. Considering the number of people who have issues with the gimbal facing off centre with their drones (In Particular P4P V2.0 models for some reason) this could have a major impact for those people and I'd love to see it tried on a P4P. I think people are being a little needlessly freaked out by the procedure. As long as they follow your steps carefully it's going to be within the abilities of most anyone I would think.
Thanks dude, be sure to share it to your group as I'll bet that it'll work! If anyone wants walking through the steps then ask them to join the DroningON membership and I'll happily setup a session with video to step through it and we try live on their Phantom! Thanks for the comment!
Brilliant! Thank you so much! After replacing my gimbal after a crash, I was having not only alignment issues but a rapid vibration of the gimbal. This process cured both!
Just used your procedure on a Mini 2 which had a slight mishap with the underside of a bridge. One of the gimbal arms had broken and was mended with cyanoacrylate (superglue). Reassembled and powered up, the gimbal started pretty level, but if the drone was banked, the gimbal would overcompensate and tilt the opposite direction. Nothing worked so I tried your procedure. I had a lot of trouble connecting the drone. My laptop would only see it for a few seconds. Not the first person to have that problem!! Downloaded DJI Assistant 2 and used that to connect to the drone. Yes! Closed down Assistant 2 and saw that my Mini 2 was still connected to my laptop. Yes! Used the correct COM port number and WM160 as the drone code in your script, but - nope! After some serious Googling I found that your script needed an extra "--port" in front of the "COMx". Yes! Final result... yes!! No more overcompensating gimbal. Thank you, sir!
Hello friend, would you describe in detail the process step by step, I have the same problem in recognizing the COM port. Thank you very much in advance.
There are several vids just like this explaining this process. Although I think you blast through this a bit to fast to follow for dummies like me struggling to grasp this, your video is definitely much easier to follow than others. Thanks so much. I swapped the original camera to try to avoid all this because I thought it was a serialized camera matching thing that caused the need for this. I ended up with no error codes at all but the gimbal 20 degrees to the left and everything fully functioning normally.
It's a big procedure unfortunately and so it's hard to work through it any more slowly, but you can always pause and rewind :) glad that it helped buddy!
Ayer choqué mi MA2, y hoy lo tengo funcionando. Ahora a esperar el update para solucionarlo por completo. Gracias, desde La Plata, Argentina! Yesterday I crashed my MA2, and today I have it working. Now to wait for the update to fix it completely. Thanks, from La Plata, Argentina!

As you know the value for the info you supplied here would be impossible to evaluate. As putting the Amazon price of a new drone is reasonable, for many drone owners after a while some people become somewhat attached to their drones (Does anyone agree or am I alone in this thinking, please comment). Furthermore, having a perfectly good drone in every other way sitting there doing nothing over a tiny piece of broken plastic, when we all know it's capabilities, don't sit well with me. MA2 owner. Obviously, here to say it worked and many thanks for taking the time. I'm honestly surprised there's not thousands of comments yet. P.S . Special thanks to an ol' buddy for assisting these old eyes across the finish line! I can still see YOU though R.C.
Thanks for this perfect and user friendly procedure. Took me just 10 mins to calibrate the replaced gimbal cam. The errors appearing though remain there. Hoping to see solution for these errors also soon from your great self. 👍🏻
@@tariqmughal2027 The method given in following video is once you replace a damaged gimbal camera then this procedure enables you to align it properly. I broke my Gimbal while doing stupid stunts and replaced with one from Aliexpress. Thanks for the clear instructions. Looks like they updated their code, while running the final commands you need to provide "--port" as an argument before your port name.
Sweet! I just now replaced my gimbal and followed these steps to calibrate it and boom it works. Great content and thank you so much on this diy fix!! What a money saver!
Man this helped. Mavic Mini 2 - used lines for Mavic Mini Model, WM160. Works like a charm. I have bought crashed drone and crashed gimbal, because on the drone, after crash, the bottom motor was overheating. sawed off the bottom half, with 2 motors, replaced, glued together and changed the cable. It had strong tilt afterwards, maybe 45deg. on the horizon level. This "script" helped a lot, but I had to use slightly different command with "--port COM3" instead of just writing down "COM 3". Thanks a lot. Also I have no other warning message apart from gimbal calibration required or something like that.
Hi, Sorry that it took a while before I had time to test the last part. IT WORKS! After a contact with András K. Szabó where he mentionned stepping down on the aircraft's firmware to v01.00.0320 with dronehacks. I did the gimbal recalibration. After that I reconnected the aircraft to the pc and upgraded to the newest firmware. And it did the job. No error 40011, everything is as new and normal. Did a fly test after a compass calibration and it went super. So I suggest that all people having this error on the screen do the downgrade, gimbal calibration, re-upgrade and see if it works for you. Btw the dronehack software license is a small amount for the help it offers. Regards and succes, Ed
@@Droning-ON There ia a software for DJI Service Centers named 'RepairTool' for any DJI products and it just running with specified VPN with Certificate that can Pair modules by its IDs into drone's Mainboard. I was able to use this general procedure to fix my MAVIC 2 Zoom on my MacBook Pro. It took some fiddling to get everything working correctly but in the end it worked. Thanks.
Thanks Hexter and while I agree, I wasn't comfortable with having to ship the whole drone, package it and get to a post office, then wait months for DJI potentially to tell me that it's my fault, and end up with a bill! It was so easy to order the gimbal and to fit it took merely 30 minutes, then this procedure is another 5 minutes or so. The errors aren't lovely but they don't stop it flying or filming, they disappear once you dismiss them and so I'm happy overall :)
Thank you!!! It worked for me. I'd also replaced the gimbal / camera unit and had the same off-centre issue, your clear and concise instructions enabled me to fix it.
Your information was excellent. In case of p4p, if we want to change yaw motor , in that case we should keep yaw motor magnet of original motor which came with drone. If we put complete new yaw motor(coil and magnet), then gimbal doesn't point straight. Can we use this method in such case where we just replace just a yaw motor of gimbal instead whole new gimbal?
Awesome! I just did everything and looks like it worked, I just crashed my dron after my first week with it 😂 but lucky me the gimbal and camera were still working, except for the flex cable which I replaced, then after your tutorial my camera was perfectly calibrated! Thanks a bunch BOSS!!!
Hey, I recently crashed my drone and i'm trying to gather as much info in order to properly troubleshoot it. I noticed you said you damaged a flex cable - seeing that it isn't a readily visible part by just looking on the drone itself, what behavioral change did you experience for you to dive deeper to then discover the damaged cable? (I'm thinking to attempt what's instructed in the video without dismantling the drone itself unless i absolutely need to) - Thanks in advance. ^RD
@@kloudsnaps Hello, so did you manage to solve your problem, cause i think i have a flex cable problem it got damaged , the gimbal and camera are not receiving any power so out of service. I'm thinking of changing this only cable and see.if it works.
@@phdz9390 Changing your flex cable should resolve your issue. I'm going to attempt dismantling my drone over the weekend. I haven't had the time to do so before.
This worked on my Mini SE. Needed to add '--port' before the port number though (I used the WM160 code). And run the script quick as the connection vanishes from Device Manager after about five seconds. I'm left with a persistent 'Gimbal calibration error' but I'll live with that.
BRILLIANT! Detailed directions is a nice change. Thanx So Much. I've been all over Hell looking for the correct way to calibrate the camera gimbal. Cheers, Friend.
When I do the py script install it says Error [WinError 32] The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process. Any Idea how to fix this? I replaced my gimbal and the camera is not working.
Thank you, the first video that's sorting out the moving parts on the gimbal instead of the rubber parts I will try this on my mavic mini and let you know if it fixed it . Ps , more indepth videos on fixes for drones like this is so needed once again thak you.
That is a lot of work. With the Mavic Air 2 still under warranty. I would have sent it back to Dji. But for the future. After the warranty is up. I might. Thanks Ash. Very good information.
Yes that would have been the plan for a regular consumer but I wanted to try the gimbal swap so as to share tips and advice with my viewers, plus the hassle of boxing it up, sending it off and the risk of DJI claiming that it was 'user error' and ending up with a bill, then waiting for it to come back, I didn't want to have to go through that! Thanks for the comment!
Awesome information! Im going to give this a shot tonight on my Air 2. Ordered it online whiile i was in a rush and completely skipped the DJI Care section. Of course Ive wrecked it now and broke the housing ring the gimbal rotates in. I recovered the plastic pieces and with a tiny bit of super glue, managed to repair it for the most part except for this issue. Thanks for the hard work!
@@Droning-ON sorry for the late reply. Didn't get the time to try it until last night. It actually worked! This information is pretty much non existent with basic Googling! Thank you so much bro!!!
@@Droning-ON sorry for the late response! I've actually had a lot of issues with the IMU calibration and the gimbal calibration ever since the accident. Im not completely sure what is causing it but i haven't spent much more time troubleshooting since its pretty much turned into my backup drone after upgrading, The most noticeable issues being, it will slowly start descending as soon as i let off to hover and the second issue being, no matter how many times i calibrate everything (before each flight) the gimbal wants to be on a horizon tilt that's about 5 degrees off every flight. Thankfully, DJI added the ability to manually adjust the gimbals tilt in one of their app updates. Little bit of extra work but it does the job!
Thank you so much for this information! Although it did take me literally all night I have a smile on my face again, You are as before mentioned an amazing human being again thank you!
Oh my God thank you sooooo much. I had to replace my gimbal on my Mavic Air and it was doing the same thing. I searched everywhere for a fix and nothing. This worked instantly and I am back up flying. You made this so easy.
I have had the same problem with my mavic mini - will follow your pointers and hopefully it fixes the issue, but as great as DJI is and has been, this will probably be my last considering these issues are so painful especially as someone who is technical!
Thanks, this video lead me too the same spot as you, error messages etc, after a couple weeks this all undoes itself (probably after firmware upgrades) DJI 🤬 Thanks DroningOn
Hi. Love your content. I have a mavic Air 2 and it won’t connect to my iPhone done a reset and it still won’t work. I think it might be the motherboard do you have any idea how to reset the motherboard etc. many thanks
Great work it's help me all what I need and could not find any where I just fallow all instruction you gave and its done I replaced MAVIC AIR Gimbal and now it's working whit new camera and gimbal as it was use to be. THANK YOU.
Hi is there a com for Camera? My gimbal work great after replacement but the camera don’t show image , it seem like it not connected. But everything connect probably. Please help thank you
Good video, very thorough - I am a programmer, so probably easier for me to grok, but I believe it was explained clearly regardless. If only that had fixed my issue (burned out motor in part of the gimbal). Looks like I'm going to have to order a replacement, and then use this again. :)
HI thanks for the video, I can see it worked for many. But Do you know if this procedure code is still applicable, I just got my camera changed and need to calibrate it. Thanks for the video
Hi and thank you very much for this video. I got suddenly some issues with my Mini2 with a horizon tilt. If I have it on follow mode the horizon tilts always to the same side, no matter which side the drone moves. The weird part is, it came suddenly, without any accidents. One day everything was just fine, then a week after on my next flight it suddenly started doing that. Do you have an idea if it is possible to fix that with this calibration method too?
This video was supper helpful! It worked as expected, I was able to center and calibrate the gimbal, how-ever my camera still appears to be blurry and out of focus. I am hoping someone else has experience this, and it’s not a problem with the replacement I bought. Has this happened to anyone else? Was there a fix for it?
Hi, I'm facing the same issue with mavic mini 2 . Had a crash it neither calibrates imu nor it allows to fly jus gets stuck in imu calibration. Very frustrated can you help me.
Thank you for the awesome video, I did this and it worked great. I did take the old camera module from the old gimbal and install it in the new one, I still get the 40011 code but the other codes are not there. I found an authorized DJI repair center that will do it for 25.00 but it will take me a couple weeks to get it back and I don't like to have my customers wait that long. It would be awesome if someone came up with a fix for this.
I had to take apart my entire mini 3 pro gimbal to clean the motors after a crash, when I reassembled the same gimbal and put it back, I got a message that its motors were overheating and the tilt was not responding, then a "gimbal locked" message appeared. Do you think this would work for me?
Excellent work, I have just one question though - when I power up the drone then plug the cable into my computer I will get the triple beep but no com. port for the drone will show up in the device manager any suggestions would be welcome (mini 2) Thank you
Thanks so much for this excellent tutorial! I was able to follow and got everything working...sort of. I have an issue that maybe you can help with. I am able to get the gimbal to calibrate and work after running to the commands. However, when I power down and restart the drone, it goes right back to being a limp, not functioning gimbal. It's as if I never ran the lines and it's back to not working. Any advice would be appreciated. I do know that sometimes the gimbal gets stuck a bit due to the repair I made (I had to replace the ribbon cable b/c the gimbal was torn off the drone so with it being glued back on, things are little off but it does seem to move freely).
My problem is with my Mavic air 2 the camera and gimble will not move at all like is dead, and I never crash or any hard landing I wonder if I follow this steps it will re calibrate
the same is happening to me, with the mini 3 pro, I had to desasemble to clean the gimbal motors, when i put it back together, the gimbal is not responding and it says it's locked
Followed the video. worked great.... up to the point where the DJI Fly app doesnt recognise the new part. I assume there is a firmware fix to link the camera to the drone? Any thoughts?
Hey dude. Will this work in a mini! A 1 not 2 mini? I replaced mine but she’s got a tilt! And calibration is not working. Also u guys find a way around the errors? Or does that happen to the mini too or just the air?? Hit me back really would appreciate ur input. Have a good one.
... Mavic Mini and DJI Mini 2... the code to use is the same which is...WM160... Also, the USBC port on the mini drones are a...dual port... that serves as both a... COM port and Charging port...the COM port shows first for about 5 to 10 seconds at most and then switches to the Charging port automatically to the Charging port. I don't know how to make it stay on the COM port. What worked for me when I did this repair on my DJI Mini 2 I used the WM160 code and as soon as I plugged my drone into the USB port I entered the the GimbalCalib JointCoarse line and let the drone do it's thing. I then unplugged from the USB port turned and off the drone. I then turned the drone back on plugged into the USB port and entered the Gimbal Calib LinearHall code and let the drone do it's thing. You have to do each line in the short time after plugging into the computer USB port while the computer reogonizes the dual port as a COM port before it changes to a Charging port. I ran into the same problems as those posting above when using this video for their mini and mini2. Thankfully my son figured out that dual port issue. I made tha guess that since the replacement gimbal is the same for both drones the drone code might be the same and that worked.
For the Mini 2, I had to get the Command Prompt ready, plug the drone, and hit enter as soon as the computer recognized the drone because if you wait, then the comport will disappear and you won't be able to do the command... Thank you for the help!
Absolutely a brillant video - THANK YOU I have a Air 2S an replaced the gimbal - camera was working fine. I experienced an issue with first string (JointCoarse) error: argument product: invalid choice: ' COM4' So after an internet search, I added "--port" before com4 and was successful. I do not know code at all, just thought I'd add this comment since it took me two days to figure it out.😂
Thank you for the detailed guide! I've to mention that the calibration failed for me for the first time, when I tried to perform it with low battery of the drone, and on a windows 7 pc. I got "result: UNSURE". Today I did it on a windows 10 computer with 100% battery on the DJI and it worked like a charm!

Go in notepad and save this (ps your port com might be different to mine ,check what’s showing in you task manager, that’s the one you’ll be using):
1/ py comm_og_service_tool.py --port com3 WM160 GimbalCalib JointCoarse
2/ py comm_og_service_tool.py --port com3 WM160 GimbalCalib LinearHall
Now you follow the UA-cam videos and install everything as stated (Python,PY serial,Dji tools etc)
Now go in command prompt
C:\WINDOWS\system32>cd.. (click enter)
C:\windows>cd.. (click enter)
C:\>cd\dji
C:\DJI>py setup.py install
Wait for it to install….
Then :
C:\DJI> py comm_og_service_tool.py --port com3 WM160 GimbalCalib JointCoarse (click enter ) and you’ll see the gimbal moving
Next :
C:\DJI> py comm_og_service_tool.py --port com3 WM160 GimbalCalib LinearHall (click enter) and wait ,and you’ll be all good to go .
@@armandbabet2160 I have the exact same problem. Did you solve it?

Thank you!!
Jimmie I do not understand how you selected a com port then? I am using a laptop and all i can see is the USB hub.
Thank you man!!!
Thanks so much for making this video. I am IT illiterate and still don't know how all of the instructions came together to make it work. You are an AWESOME teacher for me to follow your instructions and success.
That's genuibely so nice to read, thanks for the lovely comment!
I know this is an old video but I'm looking for some help. I followed your instructions perfectly. On the very last step in the command prompt, it will not let me install the py. Install. ... it says module not found error

Thanks for the comment Del, that's lovely of you to say!
P.s. be sure to hit subscribe!!
exactly true
After replacing gimbal you did NOT get the "incompatible gimbal data" error ! ???
wow, whenever I follow in depth instructions like this from the internet, it never works. This did, thank you!
Thank you very much in advance.
you are the saviour for mavic min 2. the extra --port was the tip remembering to change it in both strings
@@oldirtyrod I kow this is old, but do you rememeber exactly where you put the "--port"? I'm on this last step and I can't get it to work!
Thanks a million for this. I wanted to ask, by chance, were you able to remove the errors from after the repair?
Ayer choqué mi MA2, y hoy lo tengo funcionando. Ahora a esperar el update para solucionarlo por completo. Gracias, desde La Plata, Argentina!

Regards and succes,
Ed

Wouldn’t it have been easier to sacrifice a chicken to the DJI gods?
Thanks Hexter and while I agree, I wasn't comfortable with having to ship the whole drone, package it and get to a post office, then wait months for DJI potentially to tell me that it's my fault, and end up with a bill! It was so easy to order the gimbal and to fit it took merely 30 minutes, then this procedure is another 5 minutes or so. The errors aren't lovely but they don't stop it flying or filming, they disappear once you dismiss them and so I'm happy overall :)

You're right, Mavic Air 2 replacements are hard to find compared to other DJI's drones. BTW, do you know where can I find the gimbal yaw only?

It's as if I never ran the lines and it's back to not working. Any advice would be appreciated. I do know that sometimes the gimbal gets stuck a bit due to the repair I made (I had to replace the ribbon cable b/c the gimbal was torn off the drone so with it being glued back on, things are little off but it does seem to move freely).
My problem is with my Mavic air 2 the camera and gimble will not move at all like is dead, and I never crash or any hard landing I wonder if I follow this steps it will re calibrate

I made tha guess that since the replacement gimbal is the same for both drones the drone code might be the same and that worked.
thank you, it's work for me,
For the Mini 2, I had to get the Command Prompt ready, plug the drone, and hit enter as soon as the computer recognized the drone because if you wait, then the comport will disappear and you won't be able to do the command... Thank you for the help!

I got "result: UNSURE". Today I did it on a windows 10 computer with 100% battery on the DJI and it worked like a charm!
opened up command prompt on administrator and started following the instructions, well right away i encounter a roadblock
C:\dji>py setup.py install
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\dji\setup.py", line 17, in
from setuptools import setup
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'setuptools'
During handling of the above exception, another exception occurred:
Traceback (most recent call last):
File "C:\dji\setup.py", line 19, in
from distutils.core import setup
ModuleNotFoundError: No module named 'distutils'
how can i fix this to continue the installation?

Yes! Thank you ! I crashed my air2 into a big snowy tree, (when trying out waypoints from another app than dji,) and broke the camera, or more likely the wirering , gimbal, camera , ended up buying new from swedrone, and shure enough it tilted the camera sideways, after installed,,followed your instuktion to the letter,, the only hickup was that my "notes" wasnt able to read the dji notes, opent them in words instead, didnt really need them anyway, had the correct "strings" from your instr, Now ok ! Thanks.
