Fun fact: The trick that Etho used on Iskall to confess to the nether portal is a form of prisoners dilemma. Where two partners are separated, and told that they’ve been ratted out even though they really haven’t, the officer says if they confess then they could have a shorter sentence. If both stay quite they both benefit in the form of no confessions given. If one confesses then they could get a shorter sentence but they screw over their partner, if both confess then most of the time their both screwed. It’s really interesting to watch cops put this tactic into play and Etho played this perfectly on Iskall.
i remember this was adapted into something on TV where you could either STEAL of SHARE 1,000(i think) dollars. if both share, 500 each. if one steal and one share, 1,000 to the stealer. if both steal, nobody gets the money.
Realizing something I didn't think of during Tango's pov of the postal route setup. It might be good to put some blast resistant walls around the whole line, or at least decorative blocks to set it apart from the netherack. Putting it so low in the nether, I can easily see some other hermit coming through with tnt and beds to mine for netherite and accidentally blowing through all the redstone...
Very true. Was also thinking it might be worth it to add some exit signs or some instructions for when Grian and Scar inevitably get stuck and manage to destroy the whole system.
Yeah but adding a protective layer around the lines would take 10s of hours and thousands of blocks. It'd be much more worthwhile to just repair every once in a while. Also consistent maintenance of the line means consistent reminder of how it all works, so nothing is forgotten and future improvements can be made with ease.
What I am slowly realizing is Etho has turned his "interior only" bases inside out, now there's exterior only and all the functions are outside. Now the inside of the building looks strange.
@@KatieWillems last season after they updated game versions one time I think etho said he got his modpack from bdubs, and I think it included a sound mod or something along those lines but regardless that makes me wonder though if he would've even installed freecam or if it was just one of those things he just happened to have because he got tango's pack lmao
Etho is such an underrated builder. The past few years I’ve been amazed by how he keeps finding new color combinations to build with. Everything feels so unique. Really inspirational for helping me to try new things in my own builds.
it also always feels really "minecraft-y", if you know what I mean. it's not mimicking real life, it feels like a pure result of playing in the world itself. anyone could build like etho, but only he has the vision to do it.
I think the floor should stay clean. It looks good the way it is. Scar once said something to the effect of "you have to leave plainer parts on a build so that you can control the focus of someone viewing it." If everything is equally detailed, it's almost unsettling to look at. You don't know where to focus. I prefer to look at BdoubleO's ultra textured builds from far back because the distance blends the textures together more, but up close, they can be a little jarring or have a cluttered feeling. The walkway in question is a semi-enclosed smaller space, so I think the clean look helps to make it feel more open and bright.
It kinda feels like Etho and Bdubs are at the brink of singing "Anything you can do, I can do better. I can do anything better than you. No you can't. Yes I can. ..."
Etho using freecam really threw me off, of all the things I never expected that to just casually pop up unannounced. Always gotta love those nifty little editing touches that pop up over the years. And the cut to the porch view... wow was that smooth! We've come a long way from the star transition eh.
I think freecam in moderation was okay'ed last season, but only a few hermits used it at first. More have been getting in the habit recently, especially thanks to the crazy Decked Out 2 events at the end of the season.
@@masonbarber871 They’ve been using cam accounts since the mindcrack days. The mod isn’t very different. Doc was the first one to start using the mod on hermitcraft I think.
@@xSuperFryx Yeah, between the cam accounts in spectator and the replay mod it doesn't actually change much in terms of functionality, just makes it a lot more convenient. One thing I really love about all of Etho's builds is that they almost all take extremely unorthodox block palettes, and still make them look extremely cohesive. Bdubs excels at making builds that look good from a distance, but Etho's you can explore and really get up close and personal with, and they honestly look even better the closer you get. Hey Etho, Just an idea, but an easy way of getting around your roofing problem could be by building a simple rooftop garden. Given the focus on incorporating nature into the build, I think it could add some more charm to the base.
38:37 "Honestly though I had a ton of fun making this thing. I think Tango did as well. It was it was fun working with him on this project" It's so fun _watching_ you and Tango work on a project together, too! Loving it
I hope they work together on some potential expansions of the mail system, such as the mail order shop Tango wants to build. (You could aslo automatically mail packages from your industrial district to your base's storage system. Either as a new address on the system, or as an indicator within the shulkerbox to flag it for autosorting vs your mailbox. And as the creators they don't need to pay for stamps.) But honestly any redstone project between these two is bound to be fun.
Hey gamers. I've been a long time fan of Etho, practically grew up watching his videos. Ive been watching since near the beginning, before I had this account, before I had a computer, before I had anything, I'd sit with my aunt, and we'd watch Etho together. Through all my life troubles, I could aways go and watch an episode, be it with team Canada, OOGE, the lets play, or mod series, I could always sit and watch. In 2012, my father decided to adopt a puppy, and he named him Copper. Anytime a new eqisode came out, Id sit with him on the couch, and watch. He was my best friend. I grew up with him, spent every moment that I was home with him, which was the majority of the time outside of the school. Honestly, Im trying to make a long message saying how much I loved that dog, and just how some of my best memories with him were watching Etho, but Im struggling to get the words, if any can descirbe them. He passed away today. I loved that dog, I remember how he'd come running up hearing that good old intro, knowing it was time to lay on the couch. Thank you Etho for nothing but good memories.
Sorry to hear that your puppers has passed. I know the hurt will remain for a long time.. but remember this: You gave that pup a good life and if he is awaiting you in the afterlife he will be wagging that tail when you get there. Also, this is a chance to adopt a new puppers and give the new one a good life as well. Do not lament the differences between them, however.. cherish them as they are what makes each one into a fond memory in the end.
Im so sorry for your loss. I hope that these videos will stand as a reminder of your good memories rather than a reminder of the pain of loss. I hope you are doing well
Mental Time-space. Bdubs always builds as if these were old inhabited places, old villages from the "people before" as he tends to refer to his ideas, his builds are amazing like that. But yours is, well, yours. "Tis mine and I built it" so theres no crooked floorboards, no moss from the pass of time, nor jagged tree logs. A man building his home for his present, alive just in time.
Etho, the way you build is super inspirational to me. Your explanations and process feel very “logical” and “reasoned” - like a designer would use - which makes sense as you’re such a talented technical minecrafter. Yet often this type of building can lead to overly simple and repetitive builds - like brutalism but in minecraft. Many other builders have a more “artistic” process, which leads to great results but for me is completely incomprehensible. I have no idea how people can just texture things on the fly while barely having to think about it. What you’ve mastered, in my opinion, is being able to include texture, colour variation, and organic / asymmetric elements (all of which the “artistic” builders do) - while still doing so with a “designer” mindset. You directly cite colour theory (and even RGB, lol), you explain how you try to balance variation and repetition, you iterate on designs, etc. What this leads to is (1) a wonderfully unique building style and (2) one that feels totally accessible to a more “designer”-minded person like myself. Of course, I don’t want to assume how you function. Perhaps the process feels very artistic to you, which is obviously great as well. Whatever the case, you do such a good job at _explaining why you are doing what you’re doing_ that I feel I can actually learn from it! Edit: I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t misunderstood: I find your builds and those by the more “artistic” builders both extremely great! Both have their own unique charm, neither being better than the other!! I’m not saying your style is more accessible because it’s simpler - far from it! Thanks for the great episodes! Have a nice day everyone!!
I agree with your take! I love the detail and admire the skill that texturing takes in building, but honestly I personally prefer a style closer to etho's build here for up close usage, and I consider myself more designer-y something something 𝓰𝓻𝓪𝓹𝓱𝓲𝓬 𝖉𝖊𝖘𝖎𝖌𝖓 ιѕ ɱყ ꧁༺ 𝕡𝕒𝕤𝕤𝕚𝕠𝕟 ༻꧂ lol
One thing you could recommend the hermits do is add their own return stamp to the packages they send. That way the receiver knows who the package came from and makes it easy for them to send a reply back!
Thematically this makes sense too, irl people use the stamps that they have to denote their packages and write out who they're delivering to. Some people even use stamps as a sort of postcard for where they're sending the package from
By adding the return stamp the system would automatically return the package to the sender if the destination stamp was not found (miss spelling ergo's name) because the cart would do a full lap and end back where it started and take out the return stamp
And if we are going to go even further on this stamp thing, you can even use Maps and Map art to make actual stamps for Hermits to use, with each Hermit having their own custom stamps
I really love Etho’s build style, and that it doesn’t necessarily involve texturing all the time. It’s bright and busy and detailed and beautiful even without it, and a plain wall or floor offers a great base for an otherwise very detailed build. Texturing has a time and place, and it’s nice to see building where it isn’t necessarily needed in every zone, but is scattered about in places like his crop farms that aren’t as visually busy otherwise. (Also because my stupid brain is super analytical and hates the idea of putting packed dirt in my wooden floors just to add visual variety, I like the reminder that I CAN make builds that can both be beautiful and make sense to me)
i love how someone exclaimed "etho you disappeared" during the boat launch and he pops in the next scene as an invis potion runs out. Love the little gags 😂
I'm not a redstoner in the slightest, but I can't believe just how much of that explanation of the mail system I understood. You did a great job of building it AND explaining it, which is a rare combo!
Can't wait for the Mail System, it sounds like it'll be a big part of season 10. I hear Tango is planning on setting up a Mail Order Catalog System, I'm sure Grian will purchase a bulk supply of Mumbo stamps, and Scar will finally have people to send his weekly Disney newsletters to.
As a designer, yes. Our brains like pattern, but in the interiors industry we really try to go for subconscious patterns. Eg. Finishes that connect throughout, repetition in certain spaces. I personally try to avoid symmetry because it doesn’t help/enhance designs and in some ways can be quite unnerving to the eye. ✌🏻 I really love the garden area in your base because it references similar finishes while still keeping a ‘messy’ element of greenery. It’s setting a rule and then breaking it with purpose👌🏻
The analogy comparing visual design to music made a lot of sense to me, and compelled me to recommend one of my favorite books on the subject, aptly titled “How Music Works” by David Byrne. The book covers many different social, psychological, and technological factors that have influenced the development of music over time, including a bit about how we’re naturally drawn to patterns and beats. One of the chapters I find particularly interesting connects the evolution in popular musical styles to changes in the architecture of the venues you’d expect to hear that music performed - Bach wrote intricate pieces for small ensembles designed to be played in close quarters filled with soft furniture, where Tchaikovsky wrote for full orchestras in cavernous opera houses and literal cannons as instruments. Music and architecture (including like… the architecture of your headphones and your car and stuff) has always gone hand-in-hand. Not entirely relevant to the main video but if anyone is reading this, I hope you have a good day and that you found this interesting! :)
The music thing makes even more sense when you remember pop music. The stuff is repetitive (esp in their choruses) but it also throws in uniqueness with different verse lyrics and bridges!! There's a reason they're In POPular music genre!
@@FionaPGTpop music is simple on the surface but it is quite often hyper-detailed in the production side of things, ever since The Beatles popularized production as an instrument. Check out frank ocean or sophie, both wear their production skills on their sleeve, so to speak.
For the Mail System: You could automatically add the sender’s stamp as well. So the receiver knows from who it came from and is also able to send a response easily. And as side effect it is impossible to get infinitely traveling carts in the nether when someone messes up the stamp. It just gets returned to sender after one complete loop.
Tango's thought of this and discussed it on stream, but he's still deciding if it's more important to support anonymous mail. And Frank Grimes, the system can support 2 stamps. All other stamps will be checked before the sender's stamp is checked.
If return address stamps are not an option, then there could be a part of the loop that adds a marker. If that point is passed again with that marker in the chest minecart, then the package is removed from the loop. You could probably dump the package into a chest in the post office.
Re the texturing, if you watch that video where X, Cleo and Joe toured Gem's base last year youll hear X say that a plain floor is actually beneficial to him. Gem thinks this way as well. It allows other parts of the build to be "busy". Im loving your floors so far because they feel achievable for a builder like me.
house and drum n bass producer here, the extra bits we add to change it up and keep it from getting too repetitive ( swapping every 4th snare with a snap/clap, toms at the end of a measure, other fills in between bars ) is called ear candy, which is super important to keep a listener engaged, eye candy in builds does the same thing for sure
I really appreciate the use of freecam. I know you don't normally do that on the let's play, but since it's common practise on HermitCraft I enjoy the fact you're also using the tools of the server.
Wow, that mail system is a REALLY ambitious project. I love it. Reminds me of the old Mindcrack subway system that I don't think was ever finished. Massive props to you and Tango for figuring it out and actually building it!
Etho, since you helped design the mailing system of the server, I feel it is your obligation to also start the black market since Grian created the permits for each type of store. He also is creating an enforcement team which brought this entire idea. It’d be amazing for you to set this up using your own mailing system. Send anonymous mail with proposals of “illegal” trades would be hilarious and so entertaining. Create an entire storyline with the new season.
Joel and Etho giving us boat boys memories. I love Bdubs and Etho's friendship, you can tell they respect each other so much :) The mail system looks so cool! I'm glad this season most of the hermits are based close to each other. The prince scam note was perfect😂. Enjoyed the video!! Your base is looking incredible 😊 Can't wait to see more and future mail system shenanigans
On the topic of repetitive patterns, I find the 80/20 rule works quite well to make sure it's not overwhelming, but also not boring. 80% of cool colors and 20% of warm ones, 80% of repeated patterns and 20% of unique and detailed spots, 80% minor texturing and 20% bold and detailed textures etc (the reverse logic works as well to create very busy and overwhelming environments). It's something I learned from character design, but I think it works great in helping to bring attention to a focal point in your build
i am absolutely enchanted by the palette this season! i’ve never noticed quite the amount of pink-ish blocks that all go so well together, like the jungle wood and the white terracotta… so good!
Okay I'm going to say, I'm going to school for software design and watching you make the mailbox was amazing. All of the small things that break and get in the way remind me of coding, especially the whole mailbox checking if there was a shulker and made sure there was a stamp. Error checking in minecraft is mindblowing lmao Love your stuff Etho
Hey Etho, I have a small suggestion for the mail system. If you automatically put the stamp of the sender in the minecart together with tye stamp of the receiver, not only would it be possible to notify the receiver who the mail was from, but also if the stamp was named to something invalid or had a typo, the mail would simply return to the sender once it does a full loop.
The mail system is so freaking cool, not only is it using storage minecarts, something that has gone sadly mostly unused due to the superiority of shulker boxes, but it also has so many redstone mechanics that make it work in the end... Just so cool :D
The mail system is Genius. This thing is a content creator for all the hermits that will use it . Communication, mail order delivery, shenanigans, story telling, ...
This mail system is an incredible example of what you can do in Minecraft when you have an intimate knowledge of all the game mechanics. So cool, thanks Etho!
The way BDoub navigates the small convo on texture really made me appreciate him as a person. His kindness and social adeptness just extrudes through that interaction. Like affirmation and bringing ethos feeling into the convo without making it weird is such a rare skill. That was fire.
BTW etho, you can rename barrels and maybe dispensers in the anvil so maybe you can also rename the barrel as "inbox" and the dispenser as "stamp outbox" or something for a friendlier user experience.
The mail system is going to be so cool when it's all finished! The conversation on repetition vs variety in building was also really interesting. Personally I like a mix of both with slightly more repetition. It helps the unique parts pop even more.
Be careful with Grian's snail... don't want him infecting the mail lines and slowing down delivery times... I know you'd want to avoid the stigma of having snail mail!
I am spellbound at the redstone going on with the chunk loading, mail packaging, all the portal magic...... and Etho can freakin BUILD too! Unreal, man, unreal!
I think this build has my favorite color palette I have seen on a Minecraft build yet. Etho becoming a master builder is such a flex because he’s been a legend at everything else for so long.
ive been binging this season today and its such a fun ride, i love the mix of interactions, design theory crafting and the insane redstone work this episode !!
I just wanted to say, I really really like this style of editing. I'm a bit of an old head (like most people here now I presume) and this is pleasantly reminiscent of the older, "raw" videos I think you used to make. There was something really nice about following you through the process of getting materials together, or grinding on a tough build. I also think that this still has some of that kinda cut-down trimmed feeling to them that you really perfected in hermitcraft season 7. It's refreshing stepping away from content-optimized mega-cut attention burners and to just kinda chill.
That mail system is insane, love it. Also thoroughly enjoy you interacting with Tango! I've started watching more of his content since Decked Out 2. Thanks for doing what you do, Etho. Been a fan for over 10 years now, which is insane to think about.
I've been building a storage system sortof similar to the mail system you have. The idea is that you can send a request to a central storage system through the nether, and it returns items back to the sender automatically. (Similarly, you could sent items to be sorted and stored.) Feature creep lead me to never really finishing it, but it's cool to see people playing with chunkloaders!
Hey Etho! Hope you're having a good day. There's a great way to proactively deal with minecarts which MIGHT travel backwards. Using a curved rail (where the normal flow of the minecarts is unchanged), you can "catch" the minecart which is going the wrong way. Then a block or two away from the curved rail (off the normal track) you place a powered rail (power on) going into a block, which will turn the minecart around and keep it on track. Just a thought. Give the idea to tango if you don't want to take it on yourself. Amazing video as always!
I love the explanation of the mail system! Stuff like that is what makes these videos so entertaining. It's both genius redstone design and encourages the hermits to interact. Has the same feeling as the OG nether hub on MindCrack
I really enjoy the etho style of building. There’s a very satisfying amount of detail that really makes the build feel lived in. I like the clean paths and a little less texture because it really makes the unique color palette stand out.
Your base is soo pretty! I love the colors, the plants being intermingled, and how I basically forgot you were only doing the exterior because of how the structure and outside aspects are so well combined. Also the few chiseled bookshelves match the beehives so perfectly and look refreshing. I'm also so happy about this mail three-some, and loved hearing about how the mailing system was so thoughtfully designed to be sustainable, not cause problems, and minimize space taken up. The system's so neat!
Whenever I use beehives in a floor, I normally use Oak planks to texture. They blend in a bit better than the chiseled bookshelves. Just a personal preference
I really like the mail system that you and tango did. The redstone is pretty clean, we can see every problem solved in the making of it, and yet it's really simple ! Awesome work !

No no, the inside of the building just looks like any normal redstone contraption, truly fit style for a redstone mastermind
I found that very funny as well, the house looks so complete from the outside but actually there's nothing in it 😂
"Let me go into freecam here for a second" When I tell you my jaw dropped..... never thought I would see the day. He has come such a long way :)
He actually did a freecam last episode, when looking in the creeper farm (though he didn't call it out).
It's the tangoification
AYO I scrolled down here to comment on that too 😄
@@KatieWillems last season after they updated game versions one time I think etho said he got his modpack from bdubs, and I think it included a sound mod or something along those lines but regardless that makes me wonder though if he would've even installed freecam or if it was just one of those things he just happened to have because he got tango's pack lmao
I know!
This is the first time I’ve heard Etho say he watches a hermit’s content a lot on camera. Congrats Joel!
its because etho's obsessed
The Joel and Etho, I mean - Effo, tandem will ALWAYS be my forever favourite!
Small Eefo will reign supreme

Fr it’s crazy the stuff you can do in this game I never would have thought
In vanilla, this is bananas.
In modded you could do it 10 years ago.
I've been seeing it all over the subreddit and I was just DYING to get Etho's POV
12:41 The genius of Scar. Just fully ran with it. 3/4 corners + a curve. Brilliant
Etho is such an underrated builder. The past few years I’ve been amazed by how he keeps finding new color combinations to build with. Everything feels so unique. Really inspirational for helping me to try new things in my own builds.
Always doing his own thing, whether it's redstone or architecture.
it also always feels really "minecraft-y", if you know what I mean. it's not mimicking real life, it feels like a pure result of playing in the world itself. anyone could build like etho, but only he has the vision to do it.
Clean area feels too symmetrical. I like the floor of Etho's farm area better!
Yeah I feel like the floors looking clean and maintained fit the theme of it better
Yeah i agree
It kinda feels like Etho and Bdubs are at the brink of singing
"Anything you can do, I can do better. I can do anything better than you. No you can't. Yes I can. ..."
Peak Etho/Bdubs
STOP THATS LITERALLY THERE THEME
Lol
I would watch that duet and make it a show on broadway.
has anyone made that into an animation yet id love to see that 😭
Etho using freecam really threw me off, of all the things I never expected that to just casually pop up unannounced. Always gotta love those nifty little editing touches that pop up over the years. And the cut to the porch view... wow was that smooth! We've come a long way from the star transition eh.
ze goat effect 😈
I think he installed it for the decked out empires event
I think freecam in moderation was okay'ed last season, but only a few hermits used it at first. More have been getting in the habit recently, especially thanks to the crazy Decked Out 2 events at the end of the season.
@@masonbarber871 They’ve been using cam accounts since the mindcrack days. The mod isn’t very different. Doc was the first one to start using the mod on hermitcraft I think.
@@xSuperFryx Yeah, between the cam accounts in spectator and the replay mod it doesn't actually change much in terms of functionality, just makes it a lot more convenient. I think the reason people are finding it so interesting now is that the term "free cam" is more often heard in the context of hacks instead of survival content creation.

No shade to Bdubs at all, just different styles.
bdubs detailing is also amazing though, his interiors are next level!
Seems like you only seen the thumbnails of Bdub's episodes.
@@pinakijana9479 While I wouldn't say bdubs is in my top 5 most watched hermits or anything, I did go out of my way to say absolutely no disrespect to bdubs, and that his style and etho's style aren't better or worse than each other, just a different take. Not really sure where you're getting this from.
imo its ethos color usage, he is insanely good at really picking the best possible colors- id say my top 3 builders are bdubs scar and pearl but i also havent seen etho do like a serious megabase style like them, when it comes to general design choices though hes severely underrated
@@pinakijana9479 ? bdubs specifically focuses on how it looks from a distance for some of his builds. look at his cliffs from s7 and building with bdubs. bwb also has the massive bridge in the background as well

Hey Etho,
Just an idea, but an easy way of getting around your roofing problem could be by building a simple rooftop garden. Given the focus on incorporating nature into the build, I think it could add some more charm to the base.
A rooftop garden would be awesome! Could add some little farms too.
don't encourage his penchant for never doing a proper roof!! :p /j

It's so fun _watching_ you and Tango work on a project together, too! Loving it
I'd love to see them do some game design projects together
I hope they work together on some potential expansions of the mail system, such as the mail order shop Tango wants to build. (You could aslo automatically mail packages from your industrial district to your base's storage system. Either as a new address on the system, or as an indicator within the shulkerbox to flag it for autosorting vs your mailbox. And as the creators they don't need to pay for stamps.)
But honestly any redstone project between these two is bound to be fun.
There's more of them redstone brainstorming on this project together on tango's vod channel Tango Tek2 as well

Dude Im so sorry to hear that, rest in peace Copper
Long live Copper 🕊️
Etho finishing an exterior?! Always keeping us on our toes ❤
When last time he only did an Interior!
I think his strategy is to just do one or the other
Combine this base with the Monstrosity and you'll have a complete base!
Freecam was a big step too
Now, he just needs to do the roof. XD

I love the detail and admire the skill that texturing takes in building, but honestly I personally prefer a style closer to etho's build here for up close usage, and I consider myself more designer-y

One thing you could recommend the hermits do is add their own return stamp to the packages they send. That way the receiver knows who the package came from and makes it easy for them to send a reply back!
A stack of likes! Plus really cool idea. I hope they do this!
Thematically this makes sense too, irl people use the stamps that they have to denote their packages and write out who they're delivering to. Some people even use stamps as a sort of postcard for where they're sending the package from
you could even set up an automated system to add a return stamp in the nether when the mail is put into the system!
Etho & Tango pioneering a functional 24/7 mail delivery system. Awesome and inspiring to watch!
I hope "Sherlock Etho" becomes a mini series like "Redstone with Bdubs"
The mail system Etho and Tango created is so innovative and inspiring, Can't wait to see more collaborations like this in the future 🙏

Interesting!
The music thing makes even more sense when you remember pop music. The stuff is repetitive (esp in their choruses) but it also throws in uniqueness with different verse lyrics and bridges!!
There's a reason they're In POPular music genre!
Wow didn't expect to find this here, I'm actually working on a thesis about music and design right now, so I find this really helpful for my research!

True good idea, and the reciever would automatically have the recipients stamp; so they could eayily remail them thier response.
Good idea
Love dnb and breakcore!
Shade E E's return!
Joel and Etho's banter always puts the biggest, dumbest grin on my face. Y'all are fun chaos.

Joel and Etho giving us boat boys memories. I love Bdubs and Etho's friendship, you can tell they respect each other so much :)
The mail system looks so cool!
Error checking in minecraft is mindblowing lmao
Love your stuff Etho
Hey Etho, I have a small suggestion for the mail system. If you automatically put the stamp of the sender in the minecart together with tye stamp of the receiver, not only would it be possible to notify the receiver who the mail was from, but also if the stamp was named to something invalid or had a typo, the mail would simply return to the sender once it does a full loop.
20:42 The Etho version of “It’s quite simple really”
"He disappeared" and then reappears from invisible potion. I see what you did there Etho. Nice intro
Idk what’s my favorite part of the season, the hermits being hermits or the early days let’s play vibes every hermit seems to have adopted once more
BTW etho, you can rename barrels and maybe dispensers in the anvil so maybe you can also rename the barrel as "inbox" and the dispenser as "stamp outbox" or something for a friendlier user experience.
The mail system is going to be so cool when it's all finished! The conversation on repetition vs variety in building was also really interesting. Personally I like a mix of both with slightly more repetition. It helps the unique parts pop even more.
15:15 the checkered red ceiling is lovely!
The part where etho was getting building advice from bdubs made me smile
Be careful with Grian's snail... don't want him infecting the mail lines and slowing down delivery times... I know you'd want to avoid the stigma of having snail mail!
Vary funny :)
Loving the post commentary bits being included, hearing your more collected thoughts on why you're doing things is nice.
I love it that tango and Etho are casually making infustructe for the Hermitcraft server
(Similarly, you could sent items to be sorted and stored.)
Feature creep lead me to never really finishing it, but it's cool to see people playing with chunkloaders!
What. A. Glorious. Episode!
This base is shaping up to be my favorite Etho base of all time, in terms of aesthetic.
Etho and Gem are such a delight together, love that clip at the end.
Mail system is awesome!
I love the explanation of the mail system! Stuff like that is what makes these videos so entertaining. It's both genius redstone design and encourages the hermits to interact. Has the same feeling as the OG nether hub on MindCrack
That mail system is madness!
Also that ending with tango made me feel like what it must have felt like to see Alexander graham bell demonstrate the telephone. Simply marvelous
22:40 Pearl: "We will Not have packages go missing."

I really enjoy the etho style of building. There’s a very satisfying amount of detail that really makes the build feel lived in. I like the clean paths and a little less texture because it really makes the unique color palette stand out.
17:51 okay I did NOT expect to see the prisioner's dillema being applied in a MINECRAFT video this is amazing
I really enjoy how much the Hermits are collaborating this season.
The mail system was a major throwback to all of Etho's work with RailCraft and similar attempts he made in other series.
