Nicolas, I've long enjoyed your videos but this year, especially this episode were so uplifting. I became nearly housebound about five years ago with a rare health condition. My dreams of travel to London and other European destinations have crumbled away. But you remind me that small, beautifully crafted items can help bring the feeling of a place to you, where ever you may be. My siblings and I lost our Dad and most of his family this past year. He was English and quite proud of it. As a retired English teacher he made sure to provide us each with complete geneolagies of his line, including some quite astounding historical figures. Blue! How refreshing. I know, it’s hard, and as a coastal person I steer clear from royal blue for stereotypical reasons. But the hobnail glassware + ivory + gold = great! You didn’t ask my opinion 😁 but maybe switch the blue tapers with ivory ones. Save the blue tapers for your green layout or something. 🎉

What an elegant spring table! The yellow is just the color to offset the deep blues and white. Actually the yellow tulips bring out the ivory color in your unique flatware. The simplicity of this table also enhances its charm. The coronation china is stunning and of course I would love to have it. Hi Nicolas If you want a tip for stopping the Tulips from drooping. Stick a pin in the stem immediately below the flower make a hole right through the stem and take it out again. Do it to every flower. They will stay upright for much longer and often don’t droop at all. Nice video. The blue looks cosy and relaxing for informal meals.

I have been disabled for a few years now and I really hated it in the beginning. I could hardly leave the house. I love your show, I learn so much from you. Dinner time in my home is very special and sacred because it is the one time of day that is a must for everyone to be present. We start with simply asking how everyone’s day went, I even ask my one year old, all he does is babble but it’s cute and give us all a laugh. We also dedicate either a day, week, or month talk about, celebrate, or recognize other cultures and traditions and of course that means food and even table decor. I would love to introduce High tea to my kids and that tea set would be an amazing element to add when we do it… keep up the amazing work that you do, it’s hard to stay positive in today’s time but your videos give me hope and they are always a reminder that love is still alive… Thank you ❤

Thanks for sharing your new haul. The blue glassware brought back memories of my Mom who collected blue glass and by the time she passed away she had amassed about 800 pieces. There was a wide variety of items including but not limited to plates, glasses, perfume bottles and vases. I had it appraised and sadly what she thought were expensive pieces were mostly reproductions but she got a great deal of joy out of collecting them and that is what counts. I always use a white tablecloth for a dinner party and then add colourful placemats on top that relate to the season of the year. I am looking forward to watching the coronation for the history and pageantry of it but I will need a nap afterwards since we are five hours behind you and that means I will be getting up before the birds.

Hi Nicolas, your table setting is so pretty and summery. After watching you show us your "haul", I had to stop myself from jumping in the car and heading out to buy some new china and cutlery. I've been using the same old china and cutlery for years and have a perfectly nice set of 'good china' in the cupboard for special occasions!! How silly, I am going to start using it on a daily basis and I'm going to start making an effort to make the dinner table look inviting rather than what I'm doing now, which is to throw a few place mats on the table!! Blue! How refreshing. I know, it’s hard, and as a coastal person I steer clear from royal blue for stereotypical reasons. But the hobnail glassware + ivory + gold = great! You didn’t ask my opinion 😁 but maybe switch the blue tapers with ivory ones. Save the blue tapers for your green layout or something. 🎉

If you want a tip for stopping the Tulips from drooping. Stick a pin in the stem immediately below the flower make a hole right through the stem and take it out again. Do it to every flower. They will stay upright for much longer and often don’t droop at all. Nice video. The blue looks cosy and relaxing for informal meals.

I love your show, I learn so much from you. Dinner time in my home is very special and sacred because it is the one time of day that is a must for everyone to be present. We start with simply asking how everyone’s day went, I even ask my one year old, all he does is babble but it’s cute and give us all a laugh. We also dedicate either a day, week, or month talk about, celebrate, or recognize other cultures and traditions and of course that means food and even table decor. I would love to introduce High tea to my kids and that tea set would be an amazing element to add when we do it… keep up the amazing work that you do, it’s hard to stay positive in today’s time but your videos give me hope and they are always a reminder that love is still alive…

Thanks for sharing your new haul. The blue glassware brought back memories of my Mom who collected blue glass and by the time she passed away she had amassed about 800 pieces. There was a wide variety of items including but not limited to plates, glasses, perfume bottles and vases. I had it appraised and sadly what she thought were expensive pieces were mostly reproductions but she got a great deal of joy out of collecting them and that is what counts. I always use a white tablecloth for a dinner party and then add colourful placemats on top that relate to the season of the year. I am looking forward to watching the coronation for the history and pageantry of it but I will need a nap afterwards since we are five hours behind you and that means I will be getting up before the birds.

Hi Nicolas, your table setting is so pretty and summery. After watching you show us your "haul", I had to stop myself from jumping in the car and heading out to buy some new china and cutlery. I've been using the same old china and cutlery for years and have a perfectly nice set of 'good china' in the cupboard for special occasions!! How silly, I am going to start using it on a daily basis and I'm going to start making an effort to make the dinner table look inviting rather than what I'm doing now, which is to throw a few place mats on the table!!
