Cribbage, or crib, is a card game traditionally for two players, but commonly played with three, four or more, that involves playing and grouping cards in combinations which gain points. Cribbage has several distinctive features: the cribbage board used for score-keeping, the eponymous crib, box, or kitty (in parts of Canada)-a separate hand counting for the dealer-two distinct scoring stages (the play and the show) and a unique scoring system including points for groups of cards that total fifteen. It has been characterized as "Britain's national card game" and the only one legally playable on licensed premises (pubs and clubs) without requiring local authority permission.[1]
The game has relatively few rules yet yields endless subtleties during play. Tactical play varies, depending on which cards one's opponent has played, how many cards in the remaining deck will help the hand one holds, and what one's position on the board is. A game may be decided by only a few points-or even a single point-and the edge often goes to an experienced player who utilizes strategy, including calculating odds and making decisions based on the relative positions of players on the board. .

Great three part video. Just started playing this whacky game last night with my girlfriends and really enjoyed it.
I've watched lessons 1 and 2 and this video with 10 strategy tips but I can't find lesson 3.
Where is it?
Good series of lessons but this is a repeat from lesson 2!
Hi, thanks for posting this crib series. I know most of this stuff, but I still stink. That is a nice app you demo with - better than the one I have been using on my tablet. I play on my tablet, because I'm a cribbage widow. My husband grew up in Cape Breton Island at a time when there were only one or two tv channels, so they played crib all winter when they weren't playing hockey, and they live and breath the game. SO ANNOYING! He hates playing with me because I 'don't count fast enough.' And you should hear them ragging each other during the games. And they play for money, YIKES! So, I play in my safe space, my tablet. btw, the Jack is 'his nibs' in CB. Thanks again, I appreciate your effort clearly explaining the game. Euchre is another god-awful game the ontario people like to beat you up with.
Maybe a bit of a hot take to say don’t lead with A, 2. Those are often the only low cards in your hand.

I have a question about "GO". If i can't make 31, i tell my opponent to GO, so he gets one point. But what if he can't make 31 either? Does that mean i also get one point for laying down the last card of the game?
If you both can’t make 31 and you’ve called go, and your opponent cannot go. You lay down the next card and begin counting to 31 again. Please check out all 3 of my cribbage videos and hopefully it will answer all your questions
When you say go, if the other person can not play they take a point. If they can play another card then they will until they can't play anymore or make 31, which at that point they take however many points they scored. They can make pairs, runs, or a 31 score.
The player laying down the LAST card that gets to a count under 31 will get 1 point for that count. The non-dealer starts the first pegging round and the player not taking the 1 point for a Go starts the next count. For example, if both players have nothing but 10-value cards, the non-dealer will get the 1 point for Go on the first 30-count, but the dealer will get the Go for the next 30-count, and the Go for the last 20-count. Of course, this is irrespective of any runs, pairs, or triples that may happen during play. If you have any questions, feel free to message me on Facebook, I use my Google e-mail just for Google service like UA-cam, but I don't check that e-mail all that often, so you have a better chance of a faster reply on FB.
If Sarah cannot make 31 or play a card that keeps the count under 31 then she must say "go". Her opponent must do the same thing. If opponent cannot play a card to keep the count at 31 or under then opponent says "go" and scores 1 point for "last go". Then the play starts from zero.
