I guessed the car right off the bat..the chevy Vega. I got my DL at 16 yrs old in 1972. The chevy Vega and here in Canada the Pontiac Astra. The Vega coup, hatchback GT and the wagon. I used to wash cars on the weekend at a car rental company and they had lots of them. I couldvtell you every colour they came in.
My older Girlfriend with full time job had a brand new silver GT Vega hatchback with black stripes and manual transmission. It would scat... you are right these cars like all the cars in the 70s would rust out in 5 years.
Had a vega wagon put a 350 in it won a lot of money with that car
My buddy got a 73 from his sister same color blue and did the V8 conversion around 1980, had a lot of fun in that car, I did a V8 Pinto at the same time
That Tru Fuel stuff might be junk. If you haven't seen her video, Chickanic talks about her bad experiences with it.

I would love to have that car I would put a four cylinder out of a S10 with a five speed in it myself I had a 76 model years ago and after watching more of this video I checked out finding parts for it and eBay motors seems to have them

I'm really torn about this. This Vega is an amazing find, and I hope to be the lucky new owner, but I want to call this guy names for his cruel and shallow labeling of this wonderful car.

It's a miracle there's no rust those funky hinges are cool they still work not to be confused with the modern car junk have a great day man some hot rodder we're going nuts for that You Don't See many anymore
Great car to swap in an iron duke 151cu 2.5l 4 cyl. and a t5 5 speed.
Chev Vega, I stole a 4 spd outta one & bolted it up to a 250. It flew until a guy skidded into a pole. I slit a hockey puck down the middle as a tranny mount!

I had an 87 4 door. It had power steering AND power brakes 😂 my first car was an 80 Monza Spyder with the Buick 3.8 😖
That is a real find! I would say put a V8 in it, but that one may be best left stock. That tent thing has got to be rare.
