Porsche won't let anyone sell these cars within the first year of ownership, you have to lease them through Porsche. So once they become available, it will 100% double in value like the 911R did back when it was new. While others are rushing to comment on the content of the video itself, I'm sort of stepping back and commenting on the phenomenon of commenting itself - a commentary on commentary, in a manner of speaking. I'm observing the behavior and remarking upon it, rather than participating directly in it. Good to see Doug still knows there is “no replacement for displacement” we do need turbos and hybrids these days for fuel economy etc. But an old school NA engine is still a lot of fun.
I absolutely love that brown leather interior, and the fact that it’s still the lightest 911 with all that leather. One thing I don’t get though is the roll cage, considering that this is not supposed to be a track car.
What's crazy is that "0 to 60 in the low to mid 3 second range" is no longer crazy fast. But there's a whole lot more to a car than 0 to 60 times, and I can see why this 911 is so special. Keeping cruise control makes sense for people who want to put real miles on the car. I know most owners won't do that with a car this expensive, but I applaud those who do.
You can be sure they wouldn't have made this if Singer wasn't taking million-dollar orders with a 4+ year waiting list for custom 964 rebuilds that are fast & reliable but look vintage.
I suspect at least a few will be equipped with the racing numbers because this car will be bought by the car investor types. This reminds me of the 911 sport classic 997 from 2010. Yes, I think the number is tacky but honestly, I kind of like the Porsche script on the doors so if I was given the option to remove the number but not the script that's how I would spec it but I of course can't afford this car anyhow.
It's funny how Doug is reviewing this car now when Mat Watson reviewed it months earlier. Same for Doug as he reviewed the Fisker Ocean months ago and Mat was just reviewing it a few days back 😂😂😂
Very cool, it's up, able to be configured now so I built one. I started with the $4,820 Ruby star nero exterior, I wanted clean and subtle, so I didn't get the roundel and number! I went with the full bucket seats and the heritage design interior in black/classic cognic, I had to get the $23,220, heritage design package. I also chose lightweight wheels in silver. The chrono package for $350 and USB type C charger for $48, and $18k for the chronograph design piece. All in, $415,880.
PS…Lightweight carpet? Do duck off, Porsche! It still has a/c and a stereo! ICONS OF COOL…again DUCK OFF, PORSCHE! If you have to shout that you’re cool, you’re not!
If I had a nickel for every review of a UA-camr raving and praising how absolutely mind-blowingly good a downright unobtainable exotic car is, I'd have a shitload of nickels. Of course it's good.

To me, the perfect car would be the GT3 RS with that manual. If I'm going to pay 200+ thousand dollars, everybody should know it, not just Porsche snobs 😂
buy the GT3RS and do a manny swap
Same that's why I would go for the normal Gt3, 911's look way better with a wing
Porsche roll cages should be a dealer installed option.
Manual gearbox ❤
the craziest part of this video is when at #16:15 Doug said: "even for me who's someone who doesn't get that obsessed with the little things!" what are you talking about man? that's the whole reason we've subscribed to your channel :))
Imagine being one of the guys who bought a gt3rs to drive on the street then this thing drops 😂
98% of the GT3 RS are driven on streets
The horror!
Gt3rs better
I dont understand why someone would wanna get a castrated GT3 over a GT3. If you wanna be subtle, just get a Turbo S for less money. More comfortable and faster
I like the side decals, but the "icons of cool" thing is massively cringeworthy!
The chair is insane
How much street performance do people need?!
just get a 911 4S!
The interior contrast of lightweight and luxury touches have a hint of Singer feel although not as special but I really do like this a lot especially those seats and that middle insert.
Doug, we love you Doug
I find it interesting how Doug does the review inside but takes a thumbnail from him being outside
Doug is the type of guy to climb over a glass wall to see what's on the other side
That's a good one. Haven't heard it yet.
Doug....totally agree with you....nothing replaces a naturally aspirated engine when it comes to muscular response, outstanding recuperations and linear acceleration....!!!
The video has been up for FOUR MINUTES and you people STILL have to run here and comment. You couldn't have even SEEN more than two minutes of the video, but AAAAAH! COMMENT! GOTTA COMMENT! RUN TO THE COMMENTS AND SAY MY COMMENT! I MUST BE HEARD! I WAS HERE! I EXISTED!!
Good lord.
Welcome to the club
You did it too...
@@jamesengland7461 I'm pointing out the irony or the "meta" aspect of the situation. While others are rushing to comment on the content of the video itself, I'm sort of stepping back and commenting on the phenomenon of commenting itself - a commentary on commentary, in a manner of speaking. I'm observing the behavior and remarking upon it, rather than participating directly in it. While it may appear to the common idiot that I, too, am guilty of the very behavior I claim to loathe here, the facts are such that I am merely an outside observer, describing a phenomenon. Thank you, and may god have mercy upon your soul.
Good to see Doug still knows there is “no replacement for displacement” we
do need turbos and hybrids these days for fuel economy etc. But an old school NA engine is still a lot of fun.
You do you Doug, we all love the GT3 RS 😂
"This is the dream 911" I agree Doug. I agree ...
DOUG: I think a video on the chevy avalanche platform would be interesting its the quirkiness truck GM ever made in my opinion 😀
What about the GMC envoy XUV with that crazy power retracting roof and tailgate that would turn it into a "truck" with the push of a button.
literally the perfect porsche
licence plate holes in front bumpers make me cry 😢
I absolutely love that brown leather interior, and the fact that it’s still the lightest 911 with all that leather. One thing I don’t get though is the roll cage, considering that this is not supposed to be a track car.
Ok, but is it better than my ultra limited Fiesta ST…..I thinks not !
My ST is even lighter! But it’s a fiesta!
And it ain't a Beetle! Win win! 😂
This is gon be a good 1
What's crazy is that "0 to 60 in the low to mid 3 second range" is no longer crazy fast. But there's a whole lot more to a car than 0 to 60 times, and I can see why this 911 is so special. Keeping cruise control makes sense for people who want to put real miles on the car. I know most owners won't do that with a car this expensive, but I applaud those who do.
What's up with the dungeon setting he's been doin these in lately?
Probably his gta 5 garage haha
I think he’s at Farah’s garage/storage
that's where I like to keep him lately
Cars&bids office building i believe
It's Cars & Bids' office as well as where he keeps his supercars.
Same for Doug as he reviewed the Fisker Ocean months ago and Mat was just reviewing it a few days back 😂😂😂
I think we now know which sports car Doug will be buying next.
Haven´t seen Doug this excited in some time. What a car that is
I keep thinking he is gunna bump the car with that chair
Very cool, it's up, able to be configured now so I built one. I started with the $4,820 Ruby star nero exterior, I wanted clean and subtle, so I didn't get the roundel and number! I went with the full bucket seats and the heritage design interior in black/classic cognic, I had to get the $23,220, heritage design package. I also chose lightweight wheels in silver. The chrono package for $350 and USB type C charger for $48, and $18k for the chronograph design piece. All in, $415,880.
If it's for road use, why did someone stick on a racing number?
It's the number "63" . It means something that you don't understand.
PS…Lightweight carpet? Do duck off, Porsche! It still has a/c and a stereo! ICONS OF COOL…again DUCK OFF, PORSCHE! If you have to shout that you’re cool, you’re not!
Hey Doug how come you don’t review the cheap models.
He reviewed the 911 T unless you mean older 911's or just cheaper cars in general
Because lower Models don't get as many Clicks.
He reviewed the base 992 911 when it came out and has been working his way up through the trims as Porsche releases them.
If I had a nickel for every review of a UA-camr raving and praising how absolutely mind-blowingly good a downright unobtainable exotic car is, I'd have a shitload of nickels. Of course it's good.
