Ex witness here and all I have to say is thank you for bringing the truth to light. True Christians like this pastor here are the ones who truly save lives through the gospel! I hope to do the same one day for my old Jehovah witness friends.

@@Summersblues1 if the jws have the truth then why do they keep changing their teachings ? God's word has not changed and the truth does not change . False teachings and lies do change . Does Matthew 24:45-47 say that in 1919 Jesus appointed the governing body as the faithful and discreet slave? No it does not . There is no mention of 1919 and no mention of the governing body at Matthew 24:45-47 . Jesus never said who He appointed. He simply asked a question in His parable. There is nothing written at Matthew 24 45-47 about Jesus appointing the men of the governing body . They are teaching a lie , not the truth . Also the term Jehovah's organization is not found anywhere in the Bible . That is another lie they are teaching and it's not a teaching found in the Bible. They also teach that there was a governing body in the first century . The term governing body is not found in the Bible and it is a teaching not found in the Bible. They teach that Jesus returned invisibly in 1914 and started ruling as king in heaven in the year 1914. The Bible does not say Jesus would return invisibly and start ruling as king in heaven in the year 1914 . This is another lie they teach that is not found in the Bible. They use Proverbs 4:18 to justify their changes in their teachings when Proverbs 4:18 has nothing to do with changes in teachings and there is no example of anyone in the Bible using Proverbs 4:18 the way the governing body uses it. The governing body has shown over and over that they are false teachers
I hear the same story from Jehovah’s Witnesses. How they had questions that nobody could answer. If you would just pick up the Bible and read it it would’ve answered your questions. Instead you want someone to do the research for you and that’s why you’re in the watchtower
@@marcfield1234 to prove Jesus is God to a Jehovah witnesses is to go straight to Hebrews 1 verse 5 to 13 “For unto which of the angels said he at any time, Thou art my Son, This day have I begotten thee? And again, I will be to him a Father, And he shall be to me a Son?” “And again, when he bringeth in the firstbegotten into the world, he saith, And let all the angels of God worship him.” “And of the angels he saith, Who maketh his angels spirits, And his ministers a flame of fire.” “But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: A sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom.” So hear the father is calling the son God.
It’s heartbreaking to see what a stronghold watchtower has on people. I was one of them for 40 years before I left & started attending a nondenominational church! Keep up the good work.. I’m praying for the seeds you are planting to grow 🙏🌱
Lonna T please when they knock on your door share the truth with them and please go to the kingdom Hall in 2020 and share the truth with them believe me in 2020 you'll know when to go Greek word pneumatikos translated “spiritual” in 1 Corinthians 10:4 refers to a material object Paul spoke of the “spiritual rock” that followed Israel in the wilderness but the OT story (Exodus 17:1-7 Numbers 20:1-13) reveals that it was a physical rock the same greek word pneumatikos (translated “spiritual” is found in 1 Corinthians 15:44 which means a body directed by the spirit as opposed to one under the control of the flesh It is not ruled by flesh that perishes but by the spirit that powers the flesh “spiritual body” does not mean immaterial and invisible but immortal and imperishable the word “it” in 1 Corinthians 15:44 is referring to the same body verse 42-44 so a spiritual body is a physical glorified resurrected body a body that Jesus has we know that a spiritual body has no blood Luke 24:39 its just a flesh and bone body when Jesus Spirit entered back into his body his resurrection was a transformation his flesh became glorified the blood disappeared Jesus was able to shed his blood in payment for sin Hebrews 9:22 and yet resurrect his body John 10:17,18 and what did his human Spirit say within his flesh body John 2:19-21 God the Father Galatians 1:1 resurrected his son's body because He gave his son the commandment John 10:18 let's again read John 2:19-21 Jesus is no lair we have used 1 Peter 3:18 to say that Jesus was resurrected as a Spirit but notice it doesn’t say "made alive as a spirit" it reads made alive "in the spirit" “in the Spirit” is another way of saying in or by [the power of the Spirit] one can compare KJV Rev 4:2 with NWT Rev 4:2 even though they are worded different they have the same meaning so his body was made alive by his Spirit we once believed that Jesus took on different bodies because Mary didn't recognize him John 20:14 but verse 1 of John 20 tells us that it was early and still dark verse 11-15 we see that she begins to weep so her tears and the darkness got in the way of her recognizing Jesus no wonder she mistook Jesus as the gardener plus she believes that Jesus is dead she wasn’t expecting Jesus to be alive it was her grief that didn’t allow her to recognize his voice at first and for Luke 24:31 verse 16 tells us why they didn’t recognize him we have used 1 Corinthians 15:50 to be used against the bodily resurrection of Jesus but let's have a look at 1 Corinthians 15:50 do you see the parallels that this verse draws between the kingdom of God with incorruption and flesh and blood with corruption it is obvious that the flesh and blood bodies that we have are subject to decay and death they are corruptible corruptible bodies cannot inherit heaven so what must happen to these corruptible bodies in order that they may inherit heaven verse 53,54 of 1 Corinthians 15 let's read 1 Timothy 2:5 Jesus the Man is soon coming to Philippians 3:21 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 the physical glorified bodies will be transported into heaven Jesus will one day bring us back to a new earth compare KJV Romans 8:23 with NWT Romans 8:23 there is a big difference in the release of our body and the release from our body the release of our body is the release from the pain of decay and death and that release is the addition of immortality and the kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures proves that the KJV translation of Romans 8:23 is accurate (is 2 Corinthians 5:16 telling us that we should no longer view Jesus in a body of flesh NO it's about not viewing no man with a carnal mind or the way the NWT puts it fleshly viewpoint Romans 8:6-8 [JOHN 20:27] one day his scares will go away when we are all one so we learned that the spiritual Rock was a physical rock it was called a spiritual rock because of the source we also learned that a spiritual body is a physical body it can be called a spiritual body because of the source it is powered by the Spirit WE MUST RECEIVE Jesus human Spirit within his body Jesus told the disciples in John 14:16-20 that they knew the comforter aka the Holy Spirit because He was actually with them in physical form who was with them it was Jesus himself when he refers to the comforter as 'he' He refers to Himself take a look at these verses and you will see how Jesus refers to Himself as 'he' and 'him' (John 17:1,2)(John 5:19)(John 4:10) can you see how Jesus is referring to Himself as 'he' and 'him' and this is exactly what He was doing in John 14:16-20 speaking of the comforter He was referring to himself as the comforter which is why He said I will come to you so Jehovah allowed His son Jesus when He returned to heaven to send a copy of his Spirit to be in the disciples we too can receive His Spirit and be in Christ Galatians 2:20 we must come to the realization that the spirit is a person who is one with Jesus because he comes out of Jesus we can receive the Spirit of the Father which is manifested through his son when we receive the Spirit we received the Spirit of Christ Romans 8:9 we must receive His SPIRIT before 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 let's read 1 Thess 4:14-17 that day is near [GALATIANS 3:26-28] [JOHN 14:6]
@Tony in Tasmania Why do so many ex-JW's feel like they have to find a new church? What church did Jesus teach in or recommend? Read the gospel of St Thomas and you will see why that book was left out of the bible by the Pope. It's a very short book. "The Most High does not dwell in houses made with hands. ... of God is within you and it surrounds you and God does not live in temples of wood and stone". Thomas was quoting Jesus.
@@laurelevans7198 - I was born into it. 4 generations in it. I’m the first to leave. My family are strict by the book JW’s, so I knew the shunning would be brutal. I had 3 kids & when they were young, I didn’t want them to lose their grandparents, aunts, uncles or cousins. We had no outside friends & lived in a remote country area. When my kids were old enough to “ understand” WHY they had lost their entire family & JW friends, that’s when we exited. By the time they were teenagers they had a small group of outside friends, and we were secretly letting them participate in outside activities.. so losing their family wouldn’t be so traumatic! It worked out well.. we all live happy lives, even though being shunned for 16 years now, it was worth the freedom 🙏👏🎚
I was a JW for many years. JWs have ultimate trust in the organization. Unfortunately even if you show them from their Bible that they are wrong they will always come back to defending the teachings of watchtower over the Bible. They believe that even if what they are teaching is wrong that Jehovah would rather they stick with the false teachings than break unity with the organization. I have a knot in my stomach after listening to this. It breaks my heart to see that they just can't see how this nw translation butchers his word. Adding and removing to it wherever they please to make it fit their doctrines. Breaks my heart. I was there. I thank my Lord for showing me the real truth.
They are told that if they feel something is wrong scripturally or within the organization that instead of discussing it with others or letting it "stumble" them they should wait on Jehovah to sort it out. Because Jehovah is synonymous with the org in their mind. You can't leave the org and be acceptable to God. I could stick with it if they didnt elevate themselves so much and just admitted they were a group of humans trying their best. But they genuinely think they have more truth than other Christian's and that if you aren't part of their organization you won't make it through Armageddon. The organization is like Noah's ark in their minds. It's dangerous because they have traded in their Christian conceince for blind obedience to the governing body. Their lives are in the hands of eight American men essentially.
@@Stratcatblue I was innocently watching one of those vids about the flat earth and set out to debunk it using the Bible cos I'd been taught the Bible told the earth was a sphere. Turns out it doesn't say that at all. Hebrews were as flat earth as all the other nations at the time. I wondered why "the truth" had been telling fibs about this to me. So I checked the 1914 doctrine because I knew that was "proof" Jehovah supported this organization over all the others and realised that 607bce is not when Jerusalem fell. So I did a massive rampage through the scriptures to test ALL the doctrines I had been taught. I realised I'd been taught many lies. I started to see many verses that suggested Jehovah was the same as Jesus. I saw that Jesus wasn't the "master worker" - that chapter is about wisdom not Jesus. Wisdom was the master worker. Smh. The house of cards fell away before my eyes. The veil was lifted and I saw the scriptures in 3D for the first time. It was a difficult time for me but worth it. To answer your question simply, what it took was one seed of doubt and a willingness to actually test all things. Truth doesn't fear investigation.
@@honeyholly001 Thank you so much for sharing. So in working with a Jehovah's witness now, she made the point that watchtower restored the sacred name Jehovah to the Bible. I first commended her for hungering and thirsting for knowledge. I shared my point of view of how Jesus instructed to call him Father. I pointed out that if somebody wants to call him Jehovah or Yahweh that is ok with me. I then showed her that the name Jehovah didn't exist until between 12 and 1300 when they combined the Tetragrammaton with the word adonai, Greek for lord. Also there are other sacred names in The Bible that do not appear in the new world translation such as Elohim in Genesis 1:1 and other places. My goal right now is to present to her facts that would be of interest to her without making it feel like I am attacking her faith. But facts that wouldn't make her think later on. Perhaps you can give me some pointers. God bless.
@@Stratcatblue I would recommend you approach it as though you are asking her to teach you rather than make her think you are trying to teach her. JWs go into defence mode and you can't make them see anything when they are in that mode. I would ask her to show you an example of Jehovah in the new testament and then check the interlinear and ask why it says kyrios not yhwh? The truth is they have translated Kyrios as Lord some places and as Jehovah in others. In the back of their Bible in appendix a5 I think it shows copies of some old manuscripts with yhwh and it leads the reader to assume this is proof the name was removed from the NT and should be there but the photo is actually of a copy of the Septuagint which was OT not the new testament. I never realised this as a JW I always assumed it was supposed to be there in the NT. Actually YHWH is in no NT scrolls or even in fragments of scrolls. But like I say it's best to guide them by asking questions - not trying to be a know it all. One more thing on that point, they do try to reason that Jehovah should in the least be in the passages of the NT that quote the OT. But, we need to bear in mind that the Bible writers likely were using copies of the Hebrew scriptures that didn't use the tetragrammaton because by that time they had stopped using it. Also you're right Jesus taught us to pray to our father and to make his name known is more than knowing a name. What he meant was for the meaning behind his name or his true personality to be known and made sanctified. Jesus bore his father's name. There are verses to back this up. Also he was the one who "explained him" or showed us his father's personality.
So you trust Charles Taze that invented the watch tower in the 1950's! Now that is even scarier you listening to a slave driver that twisted the truth for a satanic cult. Do your resaerch bro!
Then he never read any of the articles before 1975. Like this one.. "Bible chronology which indicates that Adam was created in the fall of the year 4026 B.C.E. would bring us down to the year 1975 C.E. as the date marking 6,000 years of human history with yet 1,000 years to come for Christ's Kingdom rule. So whatever the date for the end of this system, it is clear that the time left is reduced, with only approximately six years left until the end of 6,000 years of human history." Watchtower 1970 May 1 p.273
That moment close to the end where that JW said she would be thinking of you at the great tribulation really triggered me. I remember when I was a JW the society taught their followers to look forward to the destruction of their enemies which would be Christians. She was in a sense saying she was looking forward to your death, while at the same time you were hoping she would have life. Very stark contrast. Unfortunately these people didn’t hear a single word unless God did a work here.
Thank you for sharing this crazy insight to this interaction. That's pretty evil to express that passive aggressive sentiment to a stranger after trying to witness God to them.

@@chriseasterly5142 pre-trib is clearly what is taught in scripture. We are going through Rev Dan Ezek etc...precept upon precept it's clearly clearly shown. The top priority is to prove that their organization is right on their interpretation of revelation. The saving power of the gospel of Jesus Christ isn’t emphasized in their witnessing.
If Jehovah witnesses wanna add other to Colossians thinking Jesus creates all “other” things they need to have a response to Isaiah 44:24 where it says Jehovah creates all things so if Jesus isn’t Jehovah (Yahweh) then they need to answer this . Which they can’t without either contradicting scripture or contradicting the watchtower.
Amen to that! They will try to back peddle on that! I was in for over 30 years and since 2018 been out and considered an Apostate.... because I am a sinner and questioned too many contradictions... I am thankful our LORD Jesus has shown me the way in which I should go. My journey has just begun now that I am awake and finally freed from the Org. God Bless
The problem with cults is they wrap lies up in truth. The truth makes them appealing and when the lies are discovered the person is so invested their flesh won’t allow them to leave.
33:33 "They got rid of that person, he was an apostate!" - she seems to think that it was Ray Franz who came up with the 1975 false prophecy, but it was actually his uncle Frederick Franz who became the president of the Watchtower in 1977.
Ray Franz left because he was tasked with writing the chapter in the Aid book about the generation of 1914. He spent an entire year trying to pin down 607 BC when Jerusalem fell. Not a single reference was found to prove that. He approached the rest of the GB and explained that to them. Their response was it's too late the toothpaste is already out of the tube. So he finished the chapter knowing it was a lie. And that woke him up to realize he was on the GB of a false religion. Without 607 BC the entire convoluted generation explanation is nothing but bull crap.
Amen brother. They love blaming “apostates” for everything... its so easy that way.... everyone that doesn’t agree with the GB and the Org ... so sad..
My experience with JW they are loving people until you want to leave they turn on them like vipers . 70yr old woman was left with no one from JW and the elders was the ring leaders . Disgusting behaviour and I prayer she never goes back to that cult. I'm a born again Christian and now she follows THE REAL JESUS CHRIST
Something interesting I've used with J dubz, in regard to Col 1:16 is to bring up the fact that the New World Translation bible's before the 2013 revised edition, had brackets around the word (other) to bring to the readers attention that the word "other" was not in the Greek, but added for clarity, but the 2013 NWT aka "silver sword" lol has removed the brackets leaving the reader to believe the word "other" is in fact in the Greek. I let them know i can not respect any translation that would deceive it's readers. Just food for thought. Great encounter by the way. Beautiful!
@@H.T.2forever the interlinear is a great way of checking what is said. Because the literal translation in English appears under the Greek/ Hebrew. Also comparing translations side by side helps get the sense of that is being meant in each verse because you have a bigger selection of words to draw from. @@H.T.2forever col 1:16 has been translated with bias then by the looks. Things is a necessary word to add to get sense of it. Other is only necissary if your approaching the verse with an interpretation bias. Otherwise why have all the other translators not made use of the word other?

Honest question: isn't there such a thing as near & far fulfillment of prophecy in the field of eschatology? I think that's what these lovely folks were trying to say. Just curious because I have heard other pastors and scholars mention this phenomenon of dual fulfillment of Biblical prophecy. Maybe this does not apply to that specific prophecy. Hello Apologia I have enjoyed much of your content and your radio shows, but I really think you should have a debate on your next radio show Preterist Vs Futurist/Midrash. I think Jacob Prasch of Moriel Ministry or Joe Schimmel of Blessed Hope Chapel would be an outstanding opponent.
You did a awesome job with these witnesses. I think your kind and very respectful manner allowed you to go farther with them than most can. I was born and raised a witness, I’m in my fifties and only recently left mentally. I’ve only learned about the Trinity this last year. It was extremely hard for me to wrap my mind around it. It’s still confusing, but I believe it with all my heart now. I’m heart sick for the family that have left me over my leaving the organization. It’s pretty much devastating.
They all come to a point where they get upset and mention the tower as a definitive truth. I've spent many hours studying and trying to tell them and even showed pictures of the original scriptures. They are so brain washed and well doctrine by their organization that they laugh at me. Thank you for so much for teaching more here... John 17 was a great way to end up this conversation and let them thinking about it!!!! Let me confess that I am very discouraged when they are so "lovely" when I leave them as you did. We know that the Word doesn't come void, but it is sad every time I know I did what I could and there is absolutely no rational thinking right at that moment. I think their worse enemy is their own pride and faithfulness to the tower.
You know most of JW that didn't know the answers or they can't differentiate the scriptures with their beliefs, it does turn into their own pride and faithfulness to the tower. That's where the whole conversation goes into=pride and faithfulness to an organization. You are so right!
@@adelalax3553 I've had some more experiences with them, but after a while I stopped approaching them. They aren't around on the streets anymore because of the COVID since the beginning of 2020. I know I won't approach them anymore unless there is a divine appointment, because so many of them actually laugh and tease me and the verses I showed. The wicked die the second death in hellfire. If the wicked lived forever being tortured in hell, they would be immortal. But this is impossible because the Bible says God “alone has immortality” (1 Timothy 6:16). When Adam and Eve were driven from the Garden of Eden, an angel was posted to guard the tree of life so that sinners would not eat of the tree and “live forever” (Genesis 3:22-24). The teaching that sinners are immortal in hell originated with Satan and is completely untrue. God prevented this when sin entered this earth by guarding the tree of life. If God tortured His enemies in a fiery horror chamber throughout eternity, He would be more vicious and heartless than men have ever been in the worst of war atrocities. An eternal hell of torment would be hell for God also, who loves even the vilest sinner.
Exactly, if the wages/ or price you pay for sinning is death, God being the just God he is, how could you punish them when they already paid there debt ? It'll be like saying the sentence for stealing a car is 3 years, and after you do your time they give you the death penalty. Makes no sense

@@ApologiaStudios Yeah I realize that it. Hand held mics with noise guards like you see on news programs when the reporters are outside could work. I realize that's not your style to carry handheld mics, but it might work a lot better for outside windy situations like this. Maybe there are similar things for wearable mics, I don't know. Also, I realize videos are secondary and that if you think any such things would interfere with sharing the gospel they are obviously not worth it. Just hoping a way can be found to improve the sound. Keep up the good work.
I absolutely loved this. Jeff you did such a great job, praise God. That's going to make them think. If my mother was a JW i would hope someone would speak to her the way you did those women. May God continue to bless you and all of Apologia.
I have challenges with reading and retaining information. I'm a Christian been saved but I've definitely not been living right nor have I trusted Jesus in many ways. But I love the Lord. I suppose I'm not alone in this and is exactly why I need Jesus. Which bible is the easiest to read, that doesn't have words that were added or taken away? I also want to know if listen to an audio bible is that ok ?
I'm an ex Jehovah's Witness, I left a couple of years ago, I found this very interesting, especially the explanation about Revelation. I read Revelation without any preconceived ideas after watching this video and it made perfect sense. However I find Christendom to be a minefield of conflicting beliefs and opinions. I find your explinations very inlightening. In the video you identify yourself as an orthodox....christian, can you advise me on a simple, factual, strait forward recourse that a simple man can read to understand what your branch of christianity believes. I read the American standard version of the bible as the only form of bible education along with prayer, but, I would like to explore more of the way you explained Revelation and other major bible themes, or theology. Some sort of study guide or groups of scriptures relating to each other. Something I found fascinating about christianity is that the trinity, hell, paradise, end times, etc are not salvation issues, you don't have to accept one or the other, I prefer to say, I don't know but one day God will make it clear, but for now I believe that Jesus is the son of God and died for my sins, and I repent of my sins and accept Jesus as my king and mediator and I pray to God through Jesus, and try to live a clean and acceptable christian life and teach my children the same. God bless your efforts to do his will.
you made a mistake if you think that all of religion do not have failed prophesy look up at my comment, you come to sites like this to justify your decision, if you need to do that then you have made the wrong one. The bible says do not look to man for your truth but look to prove it for yourself , You are spending time trying to prove them wrong instead of searching for what is right. All religion is failed because of mans influence and mans thinking being taught as doctrine. I also implore you to get a good Greek and Hebrew interlinear and test the version of the bible you read. You chase false religion because it is easy and you are not responsible for what you believe. But deep down you know you are. And do not think that just because they dont ask you to "accept" their false teachings that you are not a part of them, by going and studying with them you are in essence excepting what they teach and supporting them.
But the false prophets want to confuse people. There wolves I. Sheep clothing if a Cristian doesn’t try to show the truth no one would know and everyone would be lost

Jeff. Next time use the JWs kingdom interlinear. They have the Greek next to the English and expose themselves. John 1:1 says “ in the beginning was the word. The word was with god and god was the word” right in their own book.
Hi Jeff, was just curious about your opinion on the NIV version of the Bible? Is it considered a good English translation? It was gifted to me by a former co-worker. This year I have been reading it and my goal is to complete it before the end of the year. Lately I have been binge watching your debates and I learned a good amount so far. God Bless.
Yes, the NIV is a good translation. The goal of the translation is to give the sense of the passage, so I would suggest reading a formal equivalent translation as well, such as the ESV, or something similar for balance. Another is the NET bible, which is free, and had a ton of fantastic notes. If you have questions, let me know.
I like to thank you Pastor Jeff for your deep understanding of the bible. I also like to thank you for your videos with JW's and Mormons. I see you do have a humble approach with love when you talk with JW's and Mormons. I wish every Christian would approach evangelism like you. You are a awesome preacher!!!
Yeah, bad audio, but good quality for the distance. By the way, why are several of the videos so far away from the conversation? Is it to avoid any questions or conflict from those being interviewed about why they're being filmed?
I loved the video... I I run into a lot of Jehovah's Witnesses where I live... I would love to see more content dealing with them. Also is there any place to go to gain access to information that deals with witnessing to the JWs?
This is one of the best videos I’ve ever experienced most JWS are not going to let you talk no matter how nice you are and the will not listen to any thing except the watchtower mind control your experience with the Grace of Jesus held a beautiful conversation with both sides being able to share this is a Great video
The story of Lazarus and the Rich Man is a parable (Matthew 13:34). It is a five part parable (Like 15:3). The Lazarus of the parable was Eleazar, Abraham’s steward (Genesis 15:2). He was a Gentile "of Damascus" ("a proselyte of the gate") who "ate the crumbs." He was disinherited (to become a beggar) but he remained faithful to Abraham and God. When this earthly life was over, he received Abraham’s inheritance after all (he was in Abraham’s bosom) - in "everlasting habitations." The Rich Man of the Parable was Judah. This son of Jacob had five literal brothers as did the Rich Man. He was also a literal son of Abraham, while Eleazar (Lazarus) was not! The Rich Man (Judah) also had the kingship (purple) and the priesthood (linen). Yet Judah (representing God on this earth) was not the true steward of the Abrahamic blessings. Though he and his literal brothers had been graced with the "oracles of God" (the Old Testament) they would not respond to the One resurrected from the dead (Christ). The "great gulf" was the Jordan rift valley the dividing line between Gentile lands and the Holy Land of promise (Abraham’s inheritance). Crossing the Jordan was a typical figure recognized by the Jews as a symbol of salvation. Once these factors are recognized, all the points in the parable (with its context) fit perfectly to give us some simple but profound teachings of Christ. It shows that the physical promises of God (though excellent) are very inferior to the spiritual redemption that anyone (Jew or Gentile) can have in Christ.
Hello, Jeff. How should one understands Psalms 110v1 if our Lord Jesus is the Alpha & the Omega. I'm reading from the Louis Segond Bible. I'm pretty confused. Pease enlighten me, anyone!
Hi there Odi i just came across your question and decided to answer it to the best of my knowledge for you. David speaks PROPHETICALLY of YHWH the Almighty God as his (Jesus') Father co-eternal with him, and as to his (Jesus') who is the Messiah, of coming rulership on earth- see v2. Look at it with Mat 22v45 when Jesus explained how it was that he could be the Son of David and yet his Lord? He quotes Ps 110:1. If the Lord Jesus Christ was a mere man who did not exist until ages after David's death, how could his forefather call him Lord? The Pharisees couldn't answer it or could prove the difficulty except he allows the Messiah to be the Son of God, and David's Lord equally with the Father. He took upon him human nature, and so became God manifest in the flesh . In this case he is the Son of man and the Son of David. there is only ONE Alpha & Omega according to the Bible. YHWH says in Rev 1v8 that He IS Alpha & Omega, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.” yet Jesus says He IS also Alpha & Omega I am the Alpha & Omega the first and the last, the beginning and the end- Rev22v13 ''And you shall have no other gods before me, I am the Lord''. Ex 20v3 hope this clarifies things God bless .
I’ve never heard of end time beliefs like that Jeff. Let me ask do you believe there will be an Anti Christ that comes in the last days or was Nero the anti christ?
Well, Durbin believes the Beast was Nero, which is way off. I’ve read that preterists believe the Antichrist were people in the old church who stated that Christ had not come in the flesh. They believe in multiple Antichrists occupying the church back then. Again, this is twisting the Scripture and makes no sense given the context or the detailed verses covering the events of the Tribulation.
@@terry3047 actually Jeff is stating the historical original views of eschatology. Yes, 666 is the actual name of Nero. It wasn't until much much later we have the multiple views today that many people tend to believe
Cisco V so help me out, did Nero kill the Two Witnesses that God resurrects during the Tribulation? When did this happen, or does Durbin believe in multiple Beasts?
While I do believe that Jesus was speaking about fulfillments in our time and back then, I do agree with you that Jesus is also Yahweh. I was a JW since a child and was also taught by the WT that the Trinity was the concept of Modalism. I had no idea what either were until I researched everything on my own. A great scripture to bring up is Amos 4:11-13 from their translation. It mentions TWO Jehovahs. 11 ‘I caused an overthrow among you Like God’s overthrow of Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah. And you were like a log snatched out of the fire; But you did not come back to me,’ declares Jehovah. 12 So that is what I will do to you, O Israel. Because this is what I will do to you, Get ready to meet your God, O Israel. 13 For look! he is the One who formed the mountains and created the wind; He tells man what His thoughts are, He turns the dawn into darkness, And he treads on earth’s high places; Jehovah the God of armies is his name.” It’s amazing how committed they’re to the WT over the Bible. When they’ve been wrong on their dates or other teachings, it was due to being “imperfect” and “having false expectations,” but if “Christendom” was wrong, they’re false prophets. You can’t have it both ways. The Governing Body admitted to being uninspired in the February 2017 WT Study Edition. I don’t know how they can say that yet disfellowship people who don’t agree with them. I don’t know if you’re aware of a statement that was made in the Nov. 15, 2013 WT Study Edition on pg. 20: "At that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not." What a scary thought. If they’re uninspired, as they say they are, on whose authority are they receiving lifesaving directions from? Something to ponder...
What Jeff appears to miss, is that the very word "Revelation" means "unveiling." Much of Revelation is symbolic for future fulfillment...that's its purpose. For example, Jesus speaks of the great crowd that enters His Kingdom, and invites them to sit on His throne as at times He sits on His Fathers. This is, when written, future. That being said, Jeff is also correct with early fulfillments
@@johnnylnowlin It was the revelation of Jesus Christ of things that would happen in the first century. He revealed things that happened then not 2000 years later. The rapture doctrine is not biblical.
The book of Revelation? Yes, it is apocalyptic literature and must be read according to its genre. Just as you wouldn't read poetry in the same way you read prose, you can't read apocalyptic literature in the same way as other genres.

The GOOD NEWS of the bible 1 Corinthians 15 1-4 1 And now I want to remind you, my friends, of the Good News which I preached to you, which you received, and on which your faith stands firm. 2 That is the gospel, the message that I preached to you. Greek word pneumatikos translated “spiritual” in 1 Corinthians 10:4 refers to a material object Paul spoke of the “spiritual rock” that followed Israel in the wilderness but the OT story (Exodus 17:1-7 Numbers 20:1-13) reveals that it was a physical rock the same greek word pneumatikos (translated “spiritual” is found in 1 Corinthians 15:44 which means a body directed by the spirit as opposed to one under the control of the flesh It is not ruled by flesh that perishes but by the spirit that powers the flesh “spiritual body” does not mean immaterial and invisible but immortal and imperishable the word “it” in 1 Corinthians 15:44 is referring to the same body verse 42-44 so a spiritual body is a physical glorified resurrected body a body that Jesus has we know that a spiritual body has no blood Luke 24:39 its just a flesh and bone body when Jesus Spirit entered back into his body his resurrection was a transformation his flesh became glorified the blood disappeared Jesus was able to shed his blood in payment for sin Hebrews 9:22 and yet resurrect his body John 10:17,18 and what did his human Spirit say within his flesh body John 2:19-21 God the Father Galatians 1:1 resurrected his son's body because He gave his son the commandment John 10:18 let's again read John 2:19-21 Jesus is no lair we have used 1 Peter 3:18 to say that Jesus was resurrected as a Spirit but notice it doesn’t say "made alive as a spirit" it reads made alive "in the spirit" “in the Spirit” is another way of saying in or by [the power of the Spirit] one can compare KJV Rev 4:2 with NWT Rev 4:2 even though they are worded different they have the same meaning so his body was made alive by his Spirit we once believed that Jesus took on different bodies because Mary didn't recognize him John 20:14 but verse 1 of John 20 tells us that it was early and still dark verse 11-15 we see that she begins to weep so her tears and the darkness got in the way of her recognizing Jesus no wonder she mistook Jesus as the gardener plus she believes that Jesus is dead she wasn’t expecting Jesus to be alive it was her grief that didn’t allow her to recognize his voice at first and for Luke 24:31 verse 16 tells us why they didn’t recognize him we have used 1 Corinthians 15:50 to be used against the bodily resurrection of Jesus but let's have a look at 1 Corinthians 15:50 do you see the parallels that this verse draws between the kingdom of God with incorruption and flesh and blood with corruption it is obvious that the flesh and blood bodies that we have are subject to decay and death they are corruptible corruptible bodies cannot inherit heaven so what must happen to these corruptible bodies in order that they may inherit heaven verse 53,54 of 1 Corinthians 15 let's read 1 Timothy 2:5 Jesus the Man is soon coming to Philippians 3:21 1 Corinthians 15:51-53 and 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 the physical glorified bodies will be transported into heaven Jesus will one day bring us back to a new earth compare KJV Romans 8:23 with NWT Romans 8:23 there is a big difference in the release of our body and the release from our body the release of our body is the release from the pain of decay and death and that release is the addition of immortality and the kingdom Interlinear Translation of the Greek Scriptures proves that the KJV translation of Romans 8:23 is accurate (is 2 Corinthians 5:16 telling us that we should no longer view Jesus in a body of flesh NO it's about not viewing no man with a carnal mind or the way the NWT puts it fleshly viewpoint Romans 8:6-8 [JOHN 20:27] one day his scares will go away when we are all one so we learned that the spiritual Rock was a physical rock it was called a spiritual rock because of the source we also learned that a spiritual body is a physical body it can be called a spiritual body because of the source it is powered by the Spirit WE MUST RECEIVE Jesus human Spirit within his body Jesus told the disciples in John 14:16-20 that they knew the comforter aka the Holy Spirit because He was actually with them in physical form who was with them it was Jesus himself when he refers to the comforter as 'he' He refers to Himself take a look at these verses and you will see how Jesus refers to Himself as 'he' and 'him' (John 17:1,2)(John 5:19)(John 4:10) can you see how Jesus is referring to Himself as 'he' and 'him' and this is exactly what He was doing in John 14:16-20 speaking of the comforter He was referring to himself as the comforter which is why He said I will come to you so Jehovah allowed His son Jesus when He returned to heaven to send a copy of his Spirit to be in the disciples we too can receive His Spirit and be in Christ Galatians 2:20 we must come to the realization that the spirit is a person who is one with Jesus because he comes out of Jesus we can receive the Spirit of the Father which is manifested through his son when we receive the Spirit we received the Spirit of Christ Romans 8:9 we must receive His SPIRIT before 1 Thessalonians 4:14-17 let's read 1 Thess 4:14-17 that day is near [GALATIANS 3:26-28] [JOHN 14:6]

Its crazy how the Jw admits false prophets but yet still blind to seek and accept the truth.
42:24. “I trust the watchtower to be truth.” That’s scary. 😳Jesus is Truth. 🙏🏽💙
I know it really says it all doesn't it.
The watchtower is based off the bible though right? I had a few and every paragraph they'd have a scripture
So you trust Charles Taze that invented the watch tower in the 1950's! Now that is even scarier you listening to a slave driver that twisted the truth for a satanic cult. Do your resaerch bro!
I wipe my ass on the watchtower.💩
I was a JW for many yrs. They are so blind even when it's right in front of them. Jesus please drop the scales from their eyes 🙏🙏🙏

Absolutely. The popular view of today (Left Behind series, 7-years of tribulation, secret rapture, etc) didn't exist anywhere in the church until the 19th-century.

Beautiful!
@Bronze Well said! Amen
A friend of mine said they have the best translation team and I said yeah the best bracket removing team.
@@H.T.2forever the interlinear is a great way of checking what is said. Because the literal translation in English appears under the Greek/ Hebrew.

The story of Lazarus and the Rich Man is a parable (Matthew 13:34). It is a five part parable (Like 15:3).
The Lazarus of the parable was Eleazar, Abraham’s steward (Genesis 15:2).
He was a Gentile "of Damascus" ("a proselyte of the gate") who "ate the crumbs."
He was disinherited (to become a beggar) but he remained faithful to Abraham and God.
When this earthly life was over, he received Abraham’s inheritance after all (he was in Abraham’s bosom) - in "everlasting habitations."
The Rich Man of the Parable was Judah.
YHWH says in Rev 1v8 that He IS Alpha & Omega, “I am the Alpha and the Omega,” says the Lord God, “who is, and who was, and who is to come, the Almighty.”
yet Jesus says He IS also Alpha & Omega
I am the Alpha & Omega the first and the last, the beginning and the end- Rev22v13
''And you shall have no other gods before me, I am the Lord''. Ex 20v3
hope this clarifies things
God bless

Thank you so much for taking the time, David.🤔
Youre welcome . so you are not so confused?
@@terry3047the Bible says the anti Christ are already in the world from back in Jesus day
While I do believe that Jesus was speaking about fulfillments in our time and back then, I do agree with you that Jesus is also Yahweh. I was a JW since a child and was also taught by the WT that the Trinity was the concept of Modalism. I had no idea what either were until I researched everything on my own. A great scripture to bring up is Amos 4:11-13 from their translation. It mentions TWO Jehovahs.
11 ‘I caused an overthrow among you
Like God’s overthrow of Sodʹom and Go·morʹrah.
And you were like a log snatched out of the fire;
But you did not come back to me,’ declares Jehovah.
12 So that is what I will do to you, O Israel.
Because this is what I will do to you,
Get ready to meet your God, O Israel.
13 For look! he is the One who formed the mountains and created the wind;
He tells man what His thoughts are,
He turns the dawn into darkness,
And he treads on earth’s high places;
Jehovah the God of armies is his name.”
It’s amazing how committed they’re to the WT over the Bible.
"At that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from Jehovah’s organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint. All of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not."
What a scary thought. If they’re uninspired, as they say they are, on whose authority are they receiving lifesaving directions from? Something to ponder...
Hey jeff great video.but i have a question for you...do you believe we are in the last days ?
He has a talk on that you can check out his channel and I think it says are we in the last days
Hey when was this? I live here and witness to these same people I even recognize some people.
That’s crazy I love my people here.
Love Jeff. Couldn't disagree more with his view on the book of Revelation.
@@johnnylnowlin hmm what is symbolic and why do you think so?
@@lesamccluskey9997 Hmm - You're kidding, right?
@@johnnylnowlin It was the revelation of Jesus Christ of things that would happen in the first century. He revealed things that happened then not 2000 years later. The rapture doctrine is not biblical.
Please keep doing these things pastor Jeff
We can do them to. Are you?
can barely hear
So how do you end your prayer in the name of the father the son and the Holy Spirit? Interesting video 👌🏼
Is this the proper way to understand Revelation? I’ve never heard this before.
The book of Revelation? Yes, it is apocalyptic literature and must be read according to its genre. Just as you wouldn't read poetry in the same way you read prose, you can't read apocalyptic literature in the same way as other genres.
Notice how the JW man is remaining awfully quiet. It's because deep down he knows that the Watchtower's teachings about 1914 is load of rubbish. So he just keeps quiet and allows the women to put up their futile defense of the lies they've been taught by Watchtower.
They say to study Bible but missing most important principles.
We can barely hear the jws speak 🙄 only the this guy.. thats abit unfair, atleast give them a mic, so we can make a fair judgement of whose right and wrong.
"Jehovah's Witnesses, in their eagerness for Jesus' second coming, *have suggested dates that turned out to be incorrect."* Awake 1993 Mar 22 page4
*Jehovah’s Witnesses have had wrong expectations about when the end would come.* Jan 1, 2013 Watchtower (Yes, expectations with false dates!)
Whats with these ads ? Many of them teaching anti christian things.
so you are saying the end/ tribulation has already happened? i think maybe i misunderstood you
45:52 - 45:58 That bug is huge, it need to pay taxes. Great video, very informative.
Bless you brother Jeff!!
If your a Jehovah witness you can’t believe Jesus is your Savior. Isaiah 43:11
There are 2 Greek words for other and neither of those words are in that verse in Colossians 1. I spoke to a JW who came to my door and showed them the the whole verse in Greek and the 2 greek words for other (that were not in that verse) and they were floored and left shortly after. I told them that God was trying to show you the watchtower's distortion of His word and it was the single best conversation I ever had with a JW. Sometimes they do care about truth.
The GOOD NEWS of the bible 1 Corinthians 15 1-4
1 And now I want to remind you, my friends, of the Good News which I preached to you, which you received, and on which your faith stands firm. 2 That is the gospel, the message that I preached to you. You are saved by the gospel if you hold firmly to it-unless it was for nothing that you believed.
3 I passed on to you what I received, which is of the greatest importance: that Christ died for our sins, as written in the Scriptures; 4 that he was buried and that he was raised to life three days later, as written in the Scriptures;
Christs death forgives your sin. The denomination of Jehovah's Witnesses has No saving power, salvation is only found in Christ.
Hey Jeff! Always thought these things were to come as well.. what about the mark of the beast and not being able to sell or trade?
So Jeff believes that the tribulation has already happened?
Yup, all bible prophecy fulfilled by 70ad, now we're in the millennium and things are getting better and better and will continue to get better until Christ returns. He's a postmillennialist. The second youngest view. Mid tribulation rapture aka prewrath post trib is the newest.
Check out Steve Greg 4 views of revelation on you tube. Jeff is spot on.

Wow. I’m a Christian. I am currently reading through the Bible and researching a lot. I never heard about how the pastor explains revelation from being from those days and not future!
It's the amillennial viewpoint that was originally held by gnostics but in the 3rd or 4th century started being adapted to christian eschatology. Before that all Christian eschatology was premillennial, and the majority view was a post tribulation rapture at the battle of armageddon but there was a group which held to a pretrib rapture.
