  • When a doctor told Allison Carr she had 18 lesions on her spine and brain and multiple sclerosis would soon ravage her body, she thought her life was over. But like a growing number of patients with auto-immune diseases, she found hope in adult stem cells. Dr. Richard Burt at Northwestern University performed an adult stem cell transplant which saved Allison's life. Here's here amazing story.

    Im happy you are doing much better and healed. How are you these days. I have an autoimmune like condition and had no help from conventional medicine, but i now know the causes. Im going to be getting my own stem cells hopefully within this yr to heal me. Ive had these conditions for over a decade.

That is an awesome question that I hope happens soon. Check out the BEAT MS campaign happening across the country! HSCT is becoming more available, to many more people:)

    One of my closest friends has been in a wheelchair for a year now... he's suffered from the disease for 20 years or so... why does he have to go to Columbia for stem cell therapy? Another thing... bacteriaphages... why don't they use them to fight off these super bugs that have become immune to our antibiotics now? Stem cell research treatment therapy and Bacteriaphages is what we need to focus on. If they really wanted to cure people that is

      Hi MaryLynn,
      I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 2013, but started working at the Salt Lake airport in 2011. I had felt horrible for as long as I could remember, but never knew why. When my Doctor Diagnosed me, he told me based on what my lesions looked like, I had MS since I was most likely 18 years old.

    I remember when everyone was complaining that adult stem cells were a poor replacement for the much lauded embryonic stem cells that were supposedly going to work miracles, and hating on the religious people who were standing in the way of progress. Wisdom is vindicated by her children.

      Jonathan Darnel thankfully Adult Stem Cells are completely different. My own stem cells were used, so they were the perfect match for my body. Crazy hour out bodies can health themselves with the right tools🙏🏽

    • @allisoncarr2811
      @allisoncarr2811 4 роки тому +1

      Jonathan Darnel the HSCT protocol involves chemotherapy which kills the confused immune system, which effects MS.
      Chemotherapy is key in this treatment. By using ones own stem cells, it simply makes this procedure safer and easier to rebound more quickly .
