I really love the coming out scenes of love victor and all of cyrus in andi Mack, but my favorite has got to be isak coming out to Jonas in Skam. Jonas is just so chill and an amazing best friend and I loved the way it was done

Favorite scene in a TV show ever
(open to reconsideration) I think Mickey's coming out was more because of the pressure put by Ian, and even though he knew the way Terry was he still put an ultimatum with Mick. Still, I think it's a powerful scene and maybe, just maybe, it was the only way for Mickey to get the courage to do so.

I asked my best friend if I was gay what she would think. She said we would no longer be friends. After that I didn’t want to come out. After 3 years In my freshman year of college I came out to my parents and they were more understanding. I felt so blessed to be loved by my family. It’s like finding a diamond in a dark mine.

My cousin came out to me a few years ago, but I'd known for years so we just hugged. With his permission we told my sister and her fiance who only said "You mean he wasn't already out?"
It's crazy how that happens. I've had some friends of my own that had a very similar experience. Some of us are fortunate enough to have people like you in our lives :)
Love Simon is my all time favorite movie ever. It hit a lot of good points and hit all the parts of coming out and dealing with hiding your sexuality amazingly. Love victor was amazing and hit having homophobic parents home. There both amazing and perfect representation of dealing with your sexuality. There my all time favorite show/movie

Having my eyesight for 19 years, I stayed closeted. I lost most of my eyesight 2 years ago and, I decided to come out. I couldn't see their facial reaction. But, the atmosphere feels different. I saw Andi Mac and Love, Simon only. I love those so much. I would like to hear a film do a coming out story with a blind or visually impared main character. My attraction toward guys got stronger after losing my eyesight. Its a overfillment of love and bliss. But, more difficult to find a date and to trust someone. I love this video

I think one of my favorite coming out scenes has got to be willows from buffy the vampire slayer. I honestly was not expecting it in a show where it was very focused on either straight love or killing vampires (as the name) but willow coming out to her best friend, Buffy was so mesmerizing to watch.
In Justin Suarez at about 6:11, there's an onlooker watching the men dance. Michael Urie is the actor and he plays the lead role of Peter an gay man in Single All The Way.
Errm, he's not an onlooker in the clip. He's a main character in the series (Ugly Betty).

I didn't need to come out to My parents, they just told me that they don't care if I bring home a boy, girl, trens or whatever there's as long as they are good and I like them and they treat me right my parents like them too. And I wish we could all have that, not needing to come out and just be able to bring anyone home without ppl still finding it different. Bc the people who think its wrong and different they are the different ones bc they think its wrong.

There is a very underrated movie " Date and switch " with an amazing story and a great coming out scene, there is a couple in " The Fosters " and another one from " Skam " that should be for sure included in this list.

Shelter (movie, 2007, starring Trevor Wright and Brad Rowe) had one of the best coming out / self-realization moments of any film or movie I’ve ever seen. Silent. Beautiful. It is a great movie. There are several movies named Shelter, btw, so be sure to google it with the year and the actors to find the right one.

David Fisher in Six Feet Under. Some were shocked, some knew, some didn't want hear it, but he make sure they all knew.
Hands down Mickey in shameless. It felt real while all the rest of these felt very scripted.

I'm old school. my favorite coming out scene was 2 times in the early 80's movie "Making Love". first was Bart's admittance to Zach before they first have sex. then, Zach's admittance to his wife Claire. if you haven't seen the movie, do so. it's very groundbreaking for our LGBT community

This is great, but coming out in the 20th century just hit harder. You should do one of these for earlier film and tv.
My favorite coming out scene was Alec in Shadowhunters. It was what finally broke through the way I was raised (very religious, conservative, Christian, "the gays are going to hell") and it was another stepping stone to me fully deconstructing from the church.
I regard _Love, Simon_ as the very best of really bad gay movies. Not once was I convinced that 'Simon' was gay. And the story was like a tornado of trying to be clever about who 'Blue' was --- bad in every direction.
It was obvious that the production was only trying to get a good looking young man to be "gay" just for the box office receipts. The best part of this movie? *The **_Love, Victor_** TV spinoff.*
Luckily, _Love, Victor_ was a pretty good "spinoff" of the movie. *'Victor' was 100% more believable as gay than 'Simon' could have ever been.*
And that's really sad, too. Because Nick told us his younger brother came out as gay while he was making _Love, Simon._ One would think a loving brother would do his *younger, gay brother proud.*
My favorite coming out episode is from season 2 episode 18 Now Hear This of The Fosters when Jude and Connor have their first onscreen kiss.

Love Simon coming out scene was the worst coming out scene in a movie , in my opinion. He blurted out, she didn’t say anything. Nothing. No reassurance words, nothing. No hug. When he asked her a couple of clumsy questions her answers are monosyllabic. She was very cold.
I'm gay myself so believe me when I say that apart from the Shameless scene, the " coming out " of the rest was pretty uneventful as it was so obvious they were gay
