We did it!! Thank you! Our 20-year old cat could barely walk - he’s never had to have claws trimmed b/c he spent time outside, but as he’s aged, he doesn’t want to go out anymore. His claws were out of control. We were shocked, but he actually let us just pet him and trim the nails (it did take two people for the living and the trimming). And the beer def helped! Thanks so much!! 🎉🥳

Thank you!! I used your tip for the difficult cat with the treats and this was the first time I’ve ever been able to cut my cats nails! She will hardly even let me pet her so this was a big help!
Caroline Cain, you talked me into trying nail cutting with treats. (Tried it without treats, and kitty won't come near me when she hears me lay the nail clippers down, and I tried to be real quiet too. Kitty's hearing is excellent.).
Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! This helped me trim my cat's nails for the first time ever. I have a crazy, psycho cat, and even the groomer refuses to work on him. Miracles do happen!

Normally I can only get 1 or 2 at a time! Thank you for your video I am now more excited and optimistic about the nail trimming process!!

Great video! My cat is awful getting her nails trimmed and a trip to the vet today thinking they could handle it just made it 10x worse so now I'm determined to gain her trust back and do it myself. Under the table! Genius! At the moment I'm just giving treats and touching her paws calmly, squeezing out the claws. Hopefully a few days of that I can do my first trim myself :) just need to get some wine beforehand.....
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you Liz!! I cut my rescue’s nails for the first time following your guide and I got 3 out of 4 feet done but the 4th was a back and like you said they weren’t as bad. It only took an open can of tuna. He only got pieces but the open can was in front of him as an incentive and it worked like a charm! 🥳👏🏻

My cat has an ingrown nail I'd like to trim, but he doesn't even let me touch his paws. He either runs away or bites me (hard). How can I get him to let me trim his nails? :(

It took a lot of treats just to get my cat to ever venture onto my lap AT ALL -- and once she learned to do that, she still NEVER actually lies _down_ - but is standing the entire time. Is there way to trim the nails of a cat who is NOT docile?
Our new cat was a stray and he keeps his nails razor sharp, hes also not very careful with them, hopefully if we trim them they'll stay blunted for a little bit, or we can put tips on them. He doesnt really tolerate being picked up or touching his feet
You might be my favorite person alive. Besides my husband and kids. We just got three cats - never have had cats - and are working up to their little nails. It’s gonna be a party. Seems like alcohol is crucial. Also my kiddo wants me to tell you our cats names. Big boy Barry. (He looks just like the small cat so we had to differentiate and it stuck) bootsie. And tiny. (See above reason for number 1) thanks for the video.

Is there way to trim the nails of a cat who is NOT docile?
Great Video, love your humor
Our new cat was a stray and he keeps his nails razor sharp, hes also not very careful with them, hopefully if we trim them they'll stay blunted for a little bit, or we can put tips on them. He doesnt really tolerate being picked up or touching his feet
I just love your upload!!! so awesome, had a smile through most of it! some really great tips too, Thank you!!
Wow! It's just so easy!!! Thanks!😍😍😍
My cat likes: no human contact
You might be my favorite person alive. Besides my husband and kids. We just got three cats - never have had cats - and are working up to their little nails. It’s gonna be a party. Seems like alcohol is crucial. Also my kiddo wants me to tell you our cats names. Big boy Barry. (He looks just like the small cat so we had to differentiate and it stuck) bootsie. And tiny. (See above reason for number 1) thanks for the video.
