Thanks a lot for watching and safe journeys!
The Indian Himalayas in general is an another world. Great video again Gabe
Lahaul Valley is like a Star Trek set. Much as 'off world' looking as Utah's Valley of the Gods.
Absolutely awesome video where I was able to picture myself being there and doing what you are doing in that part of the world because in 1975 on my hitch-hiking overland journey from Holland back to Australia I travelled through India and took local transport to Kashmir and stayed on the houseboats on Dal Lake. I remember meeting a traveller (as you do) who had just returned from Leh and his adventures to get there.
This video brings that sense of adventure that I had. At 72 I can relive those adventures vicariously through all the travellers out there using current technology to post their travels on the internet.
I have had the opportunity to have enjoyed (and endured) many extensive world travels during my life and they certainly provide the greatest memories to reflect upon and think about as I get older. However I am not done yet as Japan, Lake Toba and Vietnam are still on the bucket list.
Keep on truckin'! Well done to your great sense of adventure, hats off to you with the greatest respect.
The enchantment of Lahaul Valley, Gabriel, is beyond words! 🏞 Each step unveils a landscape that feels like a painting come to life. It's like wandering through a canvas of vibrant, unspoiled beauty. The tranquility of the valley feels like a whispered secret shared by nature. Your videos are pure travel magic, revealing the soul of these otherworldly places! 🌟🎨
It's so beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Nature is amazing.
21:52 "Ok im coming down" almost sounded reluctant, like snapping out of the total trip of being up there in this otherwordly land, coming down to the "real" world again.
I don't think we are in Kansas or California anymore An Epic Technicolor Himalayan Adventure
Those snow capped mountains are truly stunning!! So very beautiful! Bittersweet moment at 25:40 realizing it’s not meant to be at this time. I think you made the right decision. When the time is right you’ll return, I have no doubts. Fantastic videos and content from this area of the Himalayas. I’ve thoroughly enjoyed watching all the videos. The incredibly beautiful, mystical and magical Himalayas! Thank you.
Gabriel you covered nook and corner of earth. I think Moon is real next adventure for you.
That was an incredible drive, and walk, in the mountains. I just immediately felt peaceful looking at the view you had when you were up there walking. I can only imagine how it would have felt if it was me walking up there.
~17:00 man, that is a seriously small trail with a sheer cliff 😮😳- I am loving the Himalayan adventure!!!
Spectacular scenery. I was worried when you were in the steep foot path with a sheer drop beside. We can see how much you love the mountains.
Please continue filming this excellent content Gabe -- im learning so much!! 💫
As always, exceptional videos!
Great vlog Gabriel. Enjoying the series. Dhanyawaad
Gabriel you rock 👍👍👍🙏🙏🙏
Wow Gabriel. You sure lead an incredibly adventurous life. I have trekked Nepal's Himalayas 4 times and I so wish that I was younger and go to so many of these exotic areas. I have travelled the world extensively but there is SO much to see and understand.
Love your chanell and have been following you for about 4 yrs.
Incredible landscape!!! Thank you Gabe.
Continue enjoying these India videos - thanks Gabe.
Another Awesome Adventure Gabriel🙂👍
I'm so amazed at how our globe trekker UA-camr is able to pump these videos out in such remote areas with little to no internet!! Fantastic!! Nicely done,! 😊
Yes 👍 not like here in Australia when the other day our big internet, mobile provider Optus was out of action for many hours causing chaos everywhere 😳 😅
This Himalayan adventure has been so captivating, a part of the world I have only dreamt of visiting but have now added it to my must go list, as I did with Georgia and the Caucasus mountains which I have just visited.
Look forward to you returning and visiting the places you couldn't get to this time.
Nice choice of music. Thank you Gabriel.
Lahual and spiti is truly a gem of a place. Would love to visit someday.
Diwali tomorrow! When I arrive in Jaisalmer.. I had no idea untill today.. really excited for my first time in India
Awesome, enjoy. I might be headed that way.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos back to warmer weathers? 😎
Yeah man, it's time for a change from freezing my butt off. When did you arrive in India?
@@GabrielTravelerVideos I arrive tomorrow... I'm at Heathrow airport now to Delhi.. then Delhi to Jaisalmer. Back to Delhi on the buses visiting jodphur Udaipur and the Pushkar camel festival. Day trip to the Tarj Mahal from Delhi at the end so quite a bit to pack in! 😊🤟
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Best would be you go from Delhi to Andaman via Konark Temple stopover. Beach at Puri is also good.
Beautiful scenery. Great video as usual. Just my kind of place! Thank you.
Great video quality today
Epic landscapes! Quite the jaunt to get there though but think it was worth it 👍
The Easter Bunny lives in that village during it's off season apparently!🐇 So glad you got a ride up there it looked incredible!!
Awsome location, mountains never cease to amaze 💚💚💚
Wow stunningly beautiful. What a great adventure, Gabriel 🎶🎵🙏🌟🍂🍁I first subscribed to your channel back in 2014 as my son Tom went to Delhi and your videos helped me to understand the world he was inhabiting for a time 🌍 so thanks 😊👍and I've been watching ever since 🍁🍂 and marvelling at places, I will never get to travel to ✨🌟
Beautiful ❤️
Another great one Gabriel
Great video Gabe, we're really jealous of your amazing travels. You're giving me so many new ideas to check out.
Wow gabriel, unreal footage. Thank you 😊
Such a epic trip! Thanks!
Lahaul looks simply awesome in your vlog Gabrielji
Thank you for this very interesting video! Yo are right - The Indian Himalayas in general is an another world. The accompanying music is very appropriate!
Raw beauty
*When I draw a bath and relax in it with some music I call that TUBCHILING.*
Haha, totally.
Amazing, didn't know that you can find Ladakh style view in that area
What a beautiful valley and those stone walls going on and on! 🦉
You can get wifi in the Himalayan mtn. range villages.....and my hi speed connection goes out every Sat. in a modern town in a newer state of 5 million.
You could have just taken a flight to LEH from Manali & shown your viewers LEH and surroundings. It is mind boggling stuff in this (mild) winters
Leh is like being on a different planet. I prefer it over Bhutan. Bhutan is over hyped.
I searched online, didn't find direct flights from Kullu to Leh. So you would probably have to go to Delhi first or another city. But yes it's possible.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Hi Gabriel lots of love from India hope to meet u once God bless u
An option would have been to fly down from Delhi to Leh and thereafter go via road(taxi) etc down south to the route you are currently on, this way maybe do the entire circuit? Just a thought ...@@GabrielTravelerVideos
@@ash9x9 Yes, that was one option I considered when I was planning out the route.
Ah, the famous, yet rarely seen, Yeti Bunny. 😀 Another interesting region of the world, thanks, Gabriel!
A distant cousin of the jackalope.
I feel so nourished by these views of the Himalayas, its temples & monasteries, people and food. I look forward to every video from India and do hope you get back to explore Spiti Valley. I had never heard if it but watched some videos about it and it seems very unique.
Continued happy travels to you, wherever you go!
Went to Keylong 2 years ago, I remember all those roads, houses, and Gumpa the monastry at the top
Beautiful Guitar Bit! Gabriel it is Puzzling to me, Where a Landscape is Difficult People Worship Human gods!
What's puzzling? In India, people worship trees, mountains, rivers, stones, animals, and of course deities. Human gods walked through those places so they are worshipped. If you are talking about Budhha, he walked throughout India and adjoining areas, that's why a lot of Asia, South and south east, is Buddhist.
I travelled Leh to Manali in 2014 via the old route before the tunnel was built great trip , love Manali
I always find it fascinating where you find buildings of all kinds in amongst mountainous, rough terrain in the middle of nowhere places . It's amazing how mankind can do this without any modern equipment, dangerous roads , technology, highly trained engineers and so on ! These are my favourite videos to watch , never get tired of them 😃 💜 🇦🇺
When I think of you, India is the first place that comes to mind.
I have been to Lahaul a week back, in Sissu Valley...it was cold asf either beautiful snow mountains surrounding the lake
I'm fascinated with architecture and buildings on such a remote places and cliffs...
First I think 😊 Cheers Gabe .Stay warm!!
Second.
Another amazing day of exploring, appropriate music too, and that rabbit!!!! As you would say "trippy"......im just so curious about costs of colorful clothes hanging in stalls as you wander the streets......??
Not costly, anything sold in stalls is fairly affordable...
Thank you for sharing your adventure experiences,so I can have the Himalayas in my room for a brief moment.Only you can judge how difficult it is sometimes to achieve a goal,,Enjoy !👍
I have also expanded on my chai intake because of Gabriel
It's actually chai time now lol
20:37 You should've quickly jogged up that mountain behind you.
You got the taste of it. Jispa is similar terrain, just the valley opens up wider. Also you can still go to Kaza, Spiti valley via Shimla side. It all depends, how much time you have. There is a Classic train journey from Chandigarh to Shimla showing 108 tunnels. First get your self blown away by Amazing Golden temple. Well done. Cheers!
I took the train to Shimla. It's a scream, so to speak: ua-cam.com/video/gapkXxfIKTQ/v-deo.html
Absolutely mesmerizing journey, Gabriel! 🌄 It's like stepping into a vibrant painting, with the Himalayas as its breathtaking canvas. Each step, each view felt like uncovering a piece of a grand masterpiece. The landscapes whisper tales of ancient mysteries and the tranquility of the valley resonates like an unspoken secret. It's an unfiltered, raw kind of beauty that's beyond words. Thank you for painting this vivid travel picture! 🎨✨
Weather as "unpredictable" as Northwest USA; Where "usually" by November 10 IT is frigid; albeit yesterday was only mid fifties. El Nino??
You can go to leh via airplane and then explore the area and villages around in an eskimo suit because its gonna be hell quiet and super cold
10:12 YES !!!!
Saludos happy Saturday
Please also visit Vyas Valley, Adi Kailash,
Om mountain in East Uttrakhand kumoun region..
Mount Kailash Darshan from Lipu lakhe pass India will start from next year..🙏
Ginger, lemon and honey is what I would like to have after an exhausting day in the mountains. 🍋🍋
From Manali you will get plenty of options and places to pick. The Hamta pass is a cool place to visit, it's just up the mountain from Manali, an hour's ride to the top usually charged at Rs2500 , there's snow up there and pristine views of the entire kullu Manali valley as you take the winding road up.
Dude, the road from shimla is open all year around, no mater what, even the condition of the road is good as well
Hello from CA & many thanks 4 great videos of INDIA! What vlog with Vlogging a Dead Horse? 💜
Freaking Ultimate
Thanks, Gabriel. I follow all of your India adventures. It's too bad about your timing, otherwise you could have gone all the way to Leh before the snows come. I really hope you make it back to the mountains in late spring or early fall.
Could probably hitch a ride with the trucks but it is risky considering the extreme weather.
Exactly.
Its not like you lucked out with the weather but its just that you visited in the right month and chances are that most days will be clear. Had you visited in Jan/Feb then it would have been the opposite.
"Tasty and Digested" One of my favorite signs so far in this series. And on the wall a sign with the word "Vomiting" What were they selling I wonder.
WOW WOW WOW
💚 🤍
They say that India cannot be visited in its enitirity in ones lifetime
Gabriel: hold my sneakers
You can say Om Mani Padme Hum when you’re inside any Buddhist shine, temple or cave. It will bring great merit and peace for you and all beings!
living our dreams .... thanks Gabe
Stay here for few more days 👍
One thing to consider when hiking alone in remote places-what will you do if you just roll an ankle or worse. Who will help you? Local guides are so cheap, can carry part of your load, etc. And you are helping the local economy!!
Vashist looks like a nice place to chill for a few days. Think you made the right decision all things considering
Definitely, or a few weeks.
the history of pine trees in india have a connection with business of past. Elihu Yale came up. so much more info. this is such a journey for the mind to see and look into. thanks. peace be with you.
Gabriel is the man
Good Golly, Gabriel - talk about off the beaten track! And you're taking us on the scenic route, every step of the way! And those precarious, cliff hanging roads - I've seen reality TV shows in which American truck drivers travel to the Himalayas and drive big trucks down crazy roads like the ones you are traveling on, with sheer drops way down into the valley or the river below.
good to see many villages not super commercialized and not crowded
Well sadly, the damage is being done by all the influencers and the so called remote places are slowly getting super commercialised
Winter and snow is coming here and there. Al Gore would not agree.
Godzilla rabbit at 27:46 😯
Baby godzilla
Fluffy godzilla.
You keep reminding us of what a beautiful world we live in. We need that when the news is full of negativity. 🥰
Hey Gabe! Amazing views all around. Did you go to Jogini Waterfall near Vashisht
Yes, the last time ten years ago.
@@GabrielTravelerVideos Lots of love Gabriel keep exploring
They ain’t got a Starbucks up there!
I spy Hebrew on the board as you entered the cafe .... in the middle of the Himalayas!!!
Yes Himachal Pradesh attracts tons of Israeli tourists...
7:55 We will go there EXTRA CHARGE😊
👍👍👍
👍
Wow good to see Vashist village is clean. Gabe love to see u visit Spiti Valley, travel Leh and explore Ladakh.
Those mountains are breathtaking? Go pro?
DJI Osmo, link is in the description.
Hi Gabriel, you made a wise decision, there's no telling what will happen. These remote places would be tough if you got stuck there. You would just have to figure out a time of year when to go to avoid the harsh weather. The snow would be one problem and the monsoon season would be the other. I did notice a flying ballon have you ever contemplated flying overhead? That could be an awesome experience, but it could be risky with high winds.
😊😊😊❤🇧🇦🇧🇦🇧🇦
Very incredible! How is it with Beer or any alkoholic Drinks there?
You won't find it in restaurants, but there are wine and beer shops.
What is your gear for Himalaya's?
I'm less confident about the retail food offerings @27:15. Somehow this seems like a specialty I'm not very familiar with. Perhaps more courage is required or a local biome is available somehow? It's not like kimchi, I assume, but is there some lactic acid bacteria involved, I'm wondering? Then, perhaps a precautionary principle applies. 😅
Don't be such a little scardy cat
